Taking a break from over 10 consistent reviews from my ongoing trip to Paris in July-August 2016, I thought I'd take the time to review Trattoria Milano, which is one of the few eateries in Terminal 3, the smallest and poorest terminal in the Manchester Airport, this place was actually quite nice, with some seats having a good view of the TV, which was showing Bayern Munich and Inter Milan's friendly on Sky Sports, but sadly this was broadcast in the pub just opposite.
This place is an Italian restaurant, they specialise in italian food such as pizza and pasta but still offer Breakfast up until 11am, which having an early fight to Paris CDG Airport, I decided to opt for.
I ordered a Mega Breakfast at £7.99 without sausage or toast, as I was told this was gluten free, I had mixed reactions to this, for example it was served pretty quick, which being in an airport is crucial, as people will be rushing to combine eating and managing there flight, but this was't much of an issue for me, having been lucky to only spend a short amount of time going through airport security.
My breakfast was okay, it was average, it was nothing more than that, a special shoutout to my poached eggs, which albeit small were very nice, good quality eggs and poached very well, also the beans are hard to mess up anyway, but these were nice too, the bacon being satisfactory but there were parts which were a little fatty and a little too chewy for my liking.
The tomatoes just seemed to not be seasoned or in any type of oil and it was the same with the mushrooms which was a shame, and the breakfast just seemed to be missing something, that extra kick such as a gluten free toast or sausage, or even more seasoning and efffort to make other parts of the breakfast taste nicer and spruce it up abit would be nice and is a goal for this place in the future.
Inside, it was quite nice, modern and it seemed a little cool, and the staff did seem nice but most of the food and portion sizes, did not cut it and despite the price, albeit reasonable if you got everything but not with toast and sausage missing considering it is in the airport, it still left me hungry and for what I got, I feel I should have got more or paid less for that, so I sadly feel this place deserves a single two stars, I'm sorry to report. read more
