Generally plenty of street parking. The house made pastas are exceptional. I would order the pizzas, a little more overdone to make them more crisp - they are the Napoleon style thin ones. To keep this menu affordable, more standard ingredients are used such as hothouse tomatoes instead of heirloom. Regular fresh mozzarella is used instead of burrata. Standard sauces for seafood dishes are a bit on the heavy side.(meaning heavy cream, or lots of butter.) but you can request the pasta be tossed in olive oil garlic and parsley instead. The appetizer portions are generous making them excellent for a light meal.

I wasn't crazy about my sea bass main but it was pretty good. I also liked the pizza we eventually got as it turned into dinnertime (yes, we were there a while). Piccolino has a good outdoor terrace which now has a cover presumably meaning it will be in use all year round and in all of Manchester's terrible weather. What really made the experience for me was the great wait staff who were consistently charming and attentive over very many hours and provided us with exacting the kind of relaxing convivial atmosphere two long separated gal pals needed to catch up!

They have entertainment some nights and whilst that would normally put me off, they got the volume and style right and it worked for them. The food is reasonably priced and well put together. We had calimari and ribs to start, followed by prawn risotto and Vesuvio pizza. The service is attentive, although for me just a little lacking in finesse sometimes, just seems like some of the staff are a little inexperienced. I've been here 3 times, and overall Piccolo for me is a high 3 out of 5 stars and it's been improving each time I visit.

The atmosphere was great and the restaurant is a fantastic space with seating at various levels inside the building which used to be a church, I think. Well what a find and totally by accident, only been open in its new location for 3 months. I cant praise this place enough, the staff and owners were very friendly and very helpful and for the Pizza Oh my Word! amazing ! Pasta was also fab, all made using the freshest ingredients. They also had 10oz fillet steak on which we are told is excellent so may try one next time, they had a good fish selection on as well. Cant wait to go back, visit as soon as you can - you wont be disappointed
