Came here with a friend for a catch up. Great food at great prices. We were slightly disappointed that they had run out of a couple of ingredients that were, in my opinion, needed in the dish. Disclaimer: ELH doesn't often do chains. But heck, Zizzi is a chain worth doing. Chain-wise you're spoilt for choice when it comes to a shopping trip in the Trafford Centre, with some interesting localised options thrown in like ChaoBaby and Rice. But trundle we did across this mecca of restaurants, and Zizzi seemed to do the opposing options we were in the mood for - pizza and salad. Immediately we noticed just how sweet our server was, who instantly grabbed us our drinks and was very friendly and polite. It's actually laid out very nicely as Trafford Centre restaurants go, and veggies won't be hard pushed to find some great choices on the menu either. I opted for a superfood salad with puy lentils, butternut squash, goat's cheese, ribboned courgette and myriad other delicious ingredients. My companion chose a rustic pizza with some pepperoni and chillies, and we went for some garlic bread with cheese as well - I was intrigued by the fact that it came topped with caramelised onions. Oh, what a treat. When the food arrived the portions were staggeringly huge, putting to rest any talk of perhaps having gone to TGI Friday's just for the sheer heck and decandence of it. And that garlic bread was the star of the show. Flatbread smothered with tasty cheese and herbs and topped with onions that had clearly been caramelised in balsamic vinegar, just heavenly. My salad was amazing and the pepperoni pizza looked delicious and surprisingly authentic, with a thin crisp crust and plentiful topping. All in all, I felt it was indeed as good as it gets, a chain that clearly has high standards across the board. It only missed out on a fifth star because the drink glasses were so small! read more

I've been to this chain restaurant several times before (in Newcastle) and always had a great experience - this was no exception! There was plenty of seating and they were very accommodating with our guest in a wheelchair. The service was incredible (Steve was absolutely fantastic!) and it really made our lunch. The food was delicious. We tried several starters and 4 main courses -- all were served fast, hot and full of flavor. Highly recommend!! read more

I've been to this place many a time. Never had a problem. Good food. Excellent price if you have a discount code from O2 which normally is available every Monday. This gives 50% off main courses. Today pizza when arrived wasn't as hot as normal. Very generous portion size. Good service. Just not up to scratch as normal. Give it a try. read more

Appalling Saturday lunch, myself and my wife. We were seated relatively quickly and ordered our drinks. These arrived fairly swiftly and then we ordered our meal. When the starters arrived we had to send our cutlery back as it was filthy, not unpolished but actual dried chunks of food on it. The starters themselves were ok but certainly not anything special and it's easy enough to get better for less in Manchester. Onto the mains, some "fresh" cutlery was put down in front of us. We then noticed that the cutlery was the same items that had we had sent back (not similar but the exact same ones). This means that the waiter hadn't bothered to go take the dirty items back for washing but had just chucked them in with the cleans ones. Quite frankly disgusting and a worrying indication of their food hygiene standards. My wife's Pizza Rustica pretty much defined the word "anaemic" , it had been very aggressively upsold for the "extra" toppings, which meant 6 small pieces of chicken, so I do wonder how stingy they'd be with the normal one? My pasta with N'duja sausage was a massive let down. Overcooked pasta and I've no idea where they sourced the N'duja from but they managed to give it the taste and texture of a Richmond sausage with a bunch of economy chilli powder stirred into it. Given the lack of care and attention to hygiene and cooking we decided to leave before puddings. At this point the waiter decided to do a disappearing act, leaving us for 15 minutes desperately trying to get someone/anyone's attention. Zizzi describes itself as "Italian" "Authentic" and "Local", given it's in the NW of England by definition at least one of those adjectives is not true (I'd venture it's all three) The prices reflect the captive market that the Trafford Centre gives businesses and for what you get, for what you pay, you will be disappointed and Zizzi's should be ashamed. read more

After naming this my favourite place for Italian Food in the Trafford Centre, I was heartbroken to find out I had a wheat intolerance over a year ago. However, on walking past if not a week ago, my broken heart was scraped off the floor and served on a plate of GLUTEN FREE PASTA!!!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! I would LOVE to think that they read my review on here about my gluten intolerance and added to their menu, but if not, I am still just as happy to know that I can have some of my favourite dishes at Zizzi's! It was so good to be able to eat out and eat pasta! I'll love this place forever now. read more

Had dinner in Zizzi's with a couple of friends. They both opted for calzone which looked really good when they arrived. I opted for chicken and mushroom risotto, as risotto is one of my favourite dishes in general. Well I was a bit disappointed with it, it was a bit soggy and not a lot of chicken in it but an endless amount of mushrooms. All pasta/pizza dishes looked amazing as they came out the kitchen. I have been to this place many times as they serve great tasting Italian food,. Everything I have tried has been enjoyable from the sides to the mains. Wonderful waiting staff, even the manager checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our food, the restaurant looks and feels warm and interesting. There are even fantastic options for my vegan sister, the toilets were clean and it is clear that there Are high standards for this reasonably priced restaurant. Definetly my favourite place to eat in the Intu Trafford Centre. read more

Normally I am a big fan of Zizzi's but this time I was a little disappointed. The restaurant is in the top mezzanine of the Trafford Centre food court and had a sorta tacky weird decor/vibe. The service was a little slow and they weren't particularly friendly. The Super Zucca Salad was delicious as usual - goats cheese, courgette, grains and roasted butternut squash. There is also plenty of delicious looking pizzas to choose from. The dessert menu however is such a disappointment. The choice is minimal and the quality is poor. Avoid the melt in the middle chocolate pudding - chocolatey yes but it just tastes like a microwave one from a supermarket. read more

went here with my mum about a month ago when we went down to Manchester to visit family. having been to the one in glasgow in many times i was already fan, and i convinced my mum to give it a try. we rocked up to zizzi's at the trafford centre and were greeted by a lovely waitress who showed us to a table at the opposite end from all the familys in a quiet wee corner, she sat us at a 4 seat table to allow us some space for all our bags and stuff which was nice... she then talked us through the menu deals on offer and took our drink order. our drinks arrived quick smart and she gave us time to decide wht we wanted. we opted for the 2 courses and drink for £10.95 which really was a steal. i usually just stick to the same things when i go out but obv this deal had limited options, so we opted for garlic bread and dough sticks to start... they only about 10mns to arrive and when they arrived on wooden boards me and my mum were a bit stunned massive portion for a starter and we just laughed we probs looked like right greedy wee people but we didnt care, we got a whole pizza of garlic bread and 12 long dough sticks, having never tried the dough sticks before i was a bit skeptical but oh my god they were so good and even better was the dip it was soooooooooo good i could have ate a bucket of the stuff!!! garlic bread was so yum too total success already and i was totes stuffed haha. mains mum had spaghetti in a tomato sauce with basil and buffalo mozzarella, i opted for garlic mayo chicken and ciabbatta... our mains came within about 15 mins which was fast considering the place had got much busier since we had arrived... mains came and they looked pretty as a picture, it was so good neither me or my mum spoke we just tucked into our food which is always a good sign! mines was so yummy, ciabatta bread with lots of chicken in a garlic mayo with salad and onions and avacado on the side and a whole one and i love avacado.. my mums spaghetti was so nice and the tomoato sauce was lovely and just the right amount of sauce so it wasnt too runny... my mum particularly liked the fact that they served the bufalo mozarella on the side in a few slices and it wasnt all through it this way if you dont like it it doesnt ruin the whole meal, plus point straight away. for £21.90 it was totally worth the money, lovely place and lovely staff. this will be my calling next time im in Manchester, until then i will return to the glasgow one and widen my taste buds to these other two dishes i now have in my repartoir! :) enjoy when you go! and also if your a wee cheapskate like me, zizzis is always on deal websites usually only pay for one main or 2 for £12. love a food bargain me! :) read more

I had my first experience of Zizzi's when I couldn't get into my favourite restaurant in town. Since then anytime I fancied good tasting italian food when I have little funding. The food tastes great, service is friendly and most of the time prompt and the prices aren't too shabby. For a chain restaurant it comes off as a one off authentic italian and is definitely worth a visit for you and your partner or friends. Also a minor note but important to me they now offer a gluten free alternative for most of their meals being that my girlfriend has a wheat intolerance this is a big help because I love italian food an fit sucks when they don't offer this at restaurants and she has to stick to salad so thumbs up Zizzi! read more

Service was excellent, I am studying art at college and some of the decorative papers that come under the served food were ideal for my art, so when I asked the waiter if there were any spare he got more for me and offered other little nick-nacks for my art too, like a zizzi box and some zizzi fliers to decorate my sketchbook with. The food is excellent too, which is obviously the main reason I would recommend this place to anyone. read more
