Why aren't people reviewing this great little place?!
Situated just round the corner from The Palace Theatre, Giorgio is a wonderful Italian restaurant that promises great food for a very reasonable fare. It's prime location makes it the ideal place to eat before an evening show, but I would recommend everyone to take advantage of their Pre-Theatre Menu. Just £10.95 (before 6.45PM) for a two-course meal, served by friendly and attentive staff! Pittance, I tell you!
I had the Mozzarella Caprese (fresh mozzarella, fresh tomato, green pesto and olives), and my mum had the garlic mushrooms (which were absolutely delicious and served with a wedge of perfect, buttery, garlicky ciabatta). I then had the Spaghetti Alla Francesca, spaghetti with smoky ham, mushrooms and a wonderful creamy tomato sauce. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The Tiramisu is pretty fantastic too, none of that Bella Italia-defrosted-from-a-box crap.
My friend tells me that they have a faster turnover rate than McDonald's. Your food will arrive promptly, and no doubt, will disappear from your plate just as quickly. It's good. Trust me. read more
