If I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would!…read more What an incredible find in Lisbon! Everything was outstanding--from the food and service to the wine. The restaurant is tucked away in a charming, quaint house in a quiet area just above the river, which makes the whole experience feel extra special. We couldn't decide what to order, so we went with the pasta tasting plate for two, and it was more than enough food! Every pasta was delicious, but the ravioli was my absolute favorite! Such a wonderful experience, and definitely a place I'd recommend if you're in Lisbon!

I guess I expected more since it's supposed to be one of the best Italian restaurants in the world…read more I ordered the pasta with truffles and it was very good. Everything else was lackluster though. Our waiter went on and on describing how they make the appetizer bread, so we ordered some thinking it must be amazing or he wouldn't have spent so much time describing it. Unfortunately it was not very good. It had a slightly bitter, cardboard taste. We actually discussed how we wished we could have some of the Carrabba's bread and herb oil dipping sauce. My son and husband split a pizza that was good, but not mind-blowing. My daughter got a dish that was like pot roast. It was ok. While it wasn't a bad meal, aside from the bread, I don't plan to return.

The room is bright, lively, and full of energy, with an open kitchen and wood fired oven that immediately sets the tone. The pizza is exactly what you hope for. Light, airy crust with just the right amount of char, simple ingredients, and perfect balance. Every bite tastes intentional and well executed, the kind of pizza that does not need anything extra to impress. The pasta is just as strong. Rich, comforting, and full of flavor, it feels like something you would be served at a neighborhood spot in Italy rather than an Italian restaurant abroad. Nothing feels overdone or adapted for tourists. It tastes authentic and confident. The atmosphere adds to the experience. It is busy without feeling chaotic, polished without feeling formal. You can tell people come here to eat well and enjoy themselves, not to rush through a meal. Forno D'Oro delivers exactly what it promises. Exceptional Italian food, a warm and energetic space, and a dining experience that genuinely makes you feel transported. If you are craving true Italian pizza and pasta in Lisbon, this is an easy yes.

The food is approximately 20% less here since it's slightly off the main pedestrian area. The restaurant is clean and charming. Service was friendly and attentive the duration of our meal. Most of the food items are sufficient to share. No need for each person to order separate salads and main dishes. Chris and I split the arugula salad dressed with pears, grana padano cheese and homemade dressing. It was delicious!! We ordered the bottle of Quinta do Cabriz red wine for 14 euros and it was delicious!! We ordered the caprese pizza which was delicious! We finished with the tiramisu and a chocolate coconut cake with coffees. The complete experience was a bargain for a total of 49 euros. We recommend this restaurant!!

I normally don't eat the crust but this was so good and fresh! Perfect with Portuguese olive oil. My husband enjoyed his calzone which was huge (and burnt on the top). Service was excellent! We were definitely happily surprised by the quality of the food. The mixto salad was nothing special-just some chopped lettuce, and a few slices of cucumber and tomato. Pretty skimpy. Thanks for an overall great dinner!
