We walked into this intimate restaurant and immediately felt at home. After a long day out in Florence , we wanted a local place to our home base in Lucca. The concierge recommended this location near the wall (next to the bike rentals) where we could get a bowl of soup and a quick plate of pasta. Everything is made to order, and this is where the locals go to eat a home cooked dinner. This is where we discovered the Lucchese specialties - the spelt soup in a bean broth base, the ragu sauce - meat with fresh wide pasta, and the amazing Lucchese dessert pie - vegetables with pine nuts and raisins. The mama doted on us and we ended up eating here twice during our stay. read more
