I went over there with my mom during the lunch break of a tour in Assisi. The place is located in a beautiful plaza and the ambiance is quite nice, we were promptly seated. The service was pretty mediocre, as well as the food. I as expecting greatness, I mean a trattoria in Assisi!? C'mon!! I was definitely disappointed. My mother ordered gnocchi even though the sauce was pretty decent, they were made by flour, not potatoes, meaning no authentic. Lovely restaurant on the plaza in Assisi, Italy. I like sitting outside esp if not in parking lot or on a busy road. Carbonara is a 10/10. The waiter spoke English and gave excellent service. Tiramisu was also excellent.

This restaurant is located right by the fonte di piazza del Commune but the google map fooled me and had hard time finding it. We ordered lamb and truffle pasta for main and both were good! We ordered a side of potatoes but there was some with the lamb. The service was good too! read more

The food here is delicious but the service is a bit lacking, they are packed to the brim and lie to you, We wanted a table and were denied it because we didn't have a reservation, but minutes later after they had a couple of more tables my dad tried again and they let us in because they now realized the could fill the spot with us. We ordered the minestrone, the lasagna, the lamb, and the carbonara, all were very tasty, maybe the lamb and the lasagna were a bit burned but the taste was pretty good. But the bad manners from the service had my mom going crazy. So the ambiance was terrible after the hasty and bad treatment in the beginning. We tried the strudel too it was also tasty. What a find. There are so few reviews of any restaurants in town and the specials hooked us in. The staff are friendly and a few speak some English. The chef looks in his 20's and seems like a family business. The lasagna special was one of the best dishes I have ever tasted. I ordered the chicken cacciatore which was great but my tastes of the lasagna was out of this world. We are going to go here again for our last night not even going to try another place it was that wonderful. I am going to get the lasagna for myself. There is no ricotta cheese in it (which is great I dislike ricotta for some reason). I has the thinnest handmade noodles along with mushrooms, parmesan cheese, mild sausage, truffle oil and a tad of bacon. It can fill up it is small and we saw them turning people away. This is our 2nd time to this restaurant!! We stayed in Assisi for a week and this place is our fave. The waiter is very friendly and welcoming. Best service we have had overall during our time in Italy. The food is awesome. It seems to be a local favorite as there are many locals that dine here. My wife and I both rate this restaurant the best of our two and a half week driving trip to Rome, Amalfi Coast, and Umbria. It is located right off the main square, overlooking the fountain in Assisi. We had lunch here on two occasions. Both times, the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, the food delicious, and the lady who brings out the food from the kitchen was super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the bruschetta, grilled vegetables, tagliolini limone, lasagna, lentil soup, and spaghetti with meat sauce. You could probably order any dish here and it would be delicious. For the two times we had lunch there, we arrived right when they opened and were able to get a table. The place is small, filling very quickly. If 11:30 am is too early for lunch, at least walk in to make a reservation for your desired time as others commonly did. Many people wanting to eat there were turned away. read more

This small restaurant has an authentic inside, along with really nice staff, with the lowest cover charge I've seen my entire trip, 1.50.
