That being said, I would love to come back and order off the menu to see how it is. The atmosphere here is worth the visit alone! Many of these restaurants, shops and hotels are in ancient buildings that are built on top of even older structures. The smart business people of Assisi have figured out any different ways to display these ruins beneath their businesses. This restaurant owner created a see through floor to show off the historic excavation! Wow! So interesting and fun!
