Capaito, Italy; Food was fantastic, surprised I am writing the first review! Max (I'm guessing the owner) was there to greet us and help us silly Americans park. There was not a lot of parking around the building, and as most cultures know us Americans have a hard time parking on a side walk...
You could tell that this was a very well respected local business, most people who walked in had a great relationship with Max and the other wait staff. I think it was just about the only local restaurant on that road, and competition would definitely go out of business if there was.
Anyway along to the food. We were greeted with a glass of prosecco, which was followed by a bottle, and beers, then three bottles of wine. The first glass of prosecco was on the house! There were six of us eating, and I wanted to make sure that we would be able to try many different things. I talked with Max to see what he would choose for dinner, and asked him if I was part of his family, what would he do (my wife hates when I do this, especially in a foreign country where they do not understand English). To my surprise, he made some interesting changes and talked me into trying kind of a tour of Italy with pasta, three different pasta dishes. Two others in my group also joined in for this awesome suggestion. Oh, by the way, this was not on the menu.
Next thing I know Max is bringing out three very large bowls of different pastas "Family Style"! It was like having a three coarse meal with a lot left over. I fell in love with all three dishes, and ended up finishing two out of the three almost by myself. Diabetes here I come!
Great Service, great food, and great drinks! Not to mention for six people the total bill was way under 200 Euro!
I look forward to another trip and checking out Trattoria Da Vittoria again. Thanks for a wonderful experience read more
