Grapa with lemoncello

Loved this restaurant! Great service, fabulous flavors and perfect table wine. Our bonus was Grapa for dessert

Admittedly it maybe one of the more tourist oriented restaurants on the Lido with yelp, TripAdvisor, and many other stickers on the door, but they serve great food. The sea bass is very fresh. Crispy outside and tender inside.

Mixed Seafood Platter- Get it!!

We were fortunate to eat here on our trip to Venice. We arrived earlier around 7:30pm (w/o reservations) and though they were all booked out, someone found a table for us that wasn't arriving until 8:30pm. It was so kind of them! So come early or make reservations if you can! Our server was excellent and recommended us the mixed seafood platter. Amazing- a must get! We enjoyed the meal so much and the lovely outdoor ambience. A little grappa limoncello was a perfect ending to a truly wonderful and memorable meal!

The best restaurant in Lido di Venezia. Period . It's a family run place which you can tell immeditialy upon entering the establishment. the guests are treated like extended family here. the food is very fresh and seasonal. we had light yet juicy branzino, frutti di mare, impeccable wine, the homemade dessert was perhaps way to sweet, making it less sugary would have been a better option, nevertheless the experience was awsome and we all - our dog including felt very welcome and came back several times.

Great aesthetic. Very nice staff. Seafood is good. Not a fan of the spaghetti though.

The risotto was very good and flavorful. The mozzarella stick and tiramisu win the overall taste contest. They both were delicious. For the price you can't go wrong. First dinner under $100 euros.

Overview: Roticceria Gislon is a no-frills spot near the Rialto Bridge, tucked slightly off the main path on the right side of Calle de la Bissa. It's easy to miss but works well if you're looking for a fast, affordable meal. Service is quick, prices are low, and the menu offers a wide range of ready-to-eat dishes. Food: I stopped in for an early lunch and grabbed takeout. The staff was kind and helpful, and the server spoke English, which made ordering easy. I started with battagin (fried fish bites; in this case, cod) and crema fritta Gislon (deep-fried custard). Both were on the greasy side, but given the price, they were fine. The fish was slightly overcooked, though nicely seasoned. The crema fritta was fairly bland: not terrible, just unremarkable. I also tried the bigoli in salsa and spaghetti al ragù. The bigoli sauce was watery and collected at the bottom of the container. The ragù was dry and lacked depth of flavor. Additionally, the pasta was overcooked in both dishes. Overall: Roticceria Gislon is a decent stop if you need a quick, inexpensive bite and aren't too fussy about quality. The service is friendly and efficient, but the food left me underwhelmed.

Be aware there are 4 restaurants adjacent to each other, we originally mistook another one for Al Chianti, the waiter said it was this restaurant but it was in fact Al Specchierie - very shady. Unfortunately it was quickly obvious something strange was going on by the disheveled appearance of the second waiter who brought our lukewarm bottled water. Due to our uneasiness we decided to pay for the water and leave. You can imagine our surprise when we discovered the restaurant we were looking for was right next door. I wonder how many other visitors have encountered this deception. We were happy to find an available table, it was fairly early around 7pm. We opted for inside seating versus the patio because of the awkwardness of us leaving the restaurant right next door and the mosquitos that seem to be dominant in Venice in the late evening. Once settled we were ready to order and begin enjoying our meal. The seafood pasta was apparently amazing, along with delicious calamari, pizza and pasta. The waiters were super friendly and during our visit the restaurant filled with, what seemed to be local patrons, some evidence of the quality and hospitality. The meal was finished with cappuccino, the consensus was this restaurant is solid and a good choice based on value, service and food quality.
