Fried rice won tonight soup chicken with mixed vegetables
    Darryl O.

I spent two weeks in Italy and was getting tired of Italian food every day. I came across this restaurant and decided to go in and give it a try. My wife says let's order three dishes which was fried rice won ton soup and chicken with mix vegetables. Portions were small, but it was tasty and good enough. A great break from Italian food in Venice

I am so happy that we decided to come to Dragone D'Oriente while we were in Venice. I don't know if it's because we missed asian food, but it was delicious! We only ordered from the Chinese food portion of the menu, but we saw many tables ordering from the sushi menu. Overall the food was amazing. There was one dish that I felt like wasn't that great, which was the sweet and sour pork. We also had shrimp fried rice, bok choy, and hot and sour soup. Those three dishes were really good. Best fried rice and bok choy I've had at a restaurant in a long time. The hot and sour soup was also delicious and fresh! We enjoyed our meal so much, we came back a second time! This time we ordered the Cantonese style fried rice. We actually ordered two of these since it was so good. The portions are a lot smaller than you would get in the US. I would say they are about personalize size. In the states a fried rice portion is enough to feed a family. We also ordered the tofu with century egg, which I really liked. The sauce on that is so good. We also got clams and fried shrimp, which we enjoyed. If you're in Venice and you want some asian food, definitely come here!

Surprising good Chinese food. After a week of eating pasta decided to try Chinese food in Venice, Italy which was very authentically run by a Chinese family.

This is hands down the best Chinese food I've had. We ordered spring rolls and beef filled buns as appetizer. Later we ordered beef with scallions and schezuan beed soup. Wow what a dinner!!!!

The food was so so, over price for what it was. The duck was probably the best dish out of the 5

Genuine Chinese food with a classy ambiance. Highly recommended- especially the hot and sour soup and the family style tofu dish.

I tried the vegetarian bean vermicelli noodles, and I requested that they add some spice to the dish as it does not come spicy. I enjoyed the noodles, they were thin and transparent, and slightly chewier than rice vermicelli. Be warned, these are somewhat slimy in appearance, which might throw some people off who are picky about textures! The flavor was nice, I wouldn't say it was spicy, but they did add a sauce into my dish that wasn't in my dinner partner's order of the same thing. There was a good amount of vegetables, but next time I would request a stir fried egg in the mixture as well for some added flavor and texture to break up the sliminess. While dining, you are near other guests, as the tables are all sat side by side. This may not be the best location to have a first date or a private chat, but sufficient for a casual meal for a good price, and maybe a chat with your table neighbor! The service was traditional for Europe. You need to tell them you are ready and call them over, and then go to the front to cash out. Not a bad stop for the price, especially considering what you pay for food on the Venice islands, you likely come back to the mainland ready to eat!
