    Bao made fresh
    Ernie H.

Dumplings made fresh in the premises - in Venice - well Yes - Yes of course. The dumplings and the bao were fine. Have I had better- yes. But keep in mind your in Venice. It's not easy spotting Chinese food in Venice and your food was just made fresh by a Chinese person - 5 stars

We had been eating Italian food since we arrived and wanted to try something different. We noticed…read morethis restaurant on one of our walks through Venice's lanes and went there the same evening. Ordered the kung pao chicken and and soft chow mein. Both dishes were delicious, with just the right amount of spices in them. The portion size was just right, with two of us having a satisfying dinner. The service was prompt and very friendly. We leave for Milan tomorrow morning, or we would definitely have visited this place again.

We were in town for a week in Venice and wanted to try a Chinese restaurant since we've had pasta…read moreand pizza all week. We should have checked the reviews for this restaurant before trying it because it was a bad experience. The food was very plain, nothing special at all but they charged us double what other restaurants would. We ordered a few items to share with the family (8 people total). Keep in mind we did not even order our regular family portions to share with the family (big bowl of soup, 5-6 meat entrees, and 2 vegetable entrees). We only ordered a bowl of hot sour soup (way to much vinegar, couldn't even finish the bowl), 4 meat/seafood entrees, 2 vegetable entrees and a pot of tea. They charged us $20 (seems like they charg $2.50/person) for water and $20 for EACH pot of tea. We did a refill of the tea and they charged another $20! So $40 for tea?? Ridiculous. For a family dinner like this, they ended up charging us $300. I couldn't believe it when I saw the bill. This isn't even a fancy restaurant. Food was mediocre to say the least and service was average. DO NOT COME HERE FOR AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD. You'll regret it because it won't taste good and they will charge you ridiculously for their food. I don't know how some people on here give them 5 stars. I've had authentic Chinese food and this doesn't even come close to the real deal.
