This was a cute Chinese restaurant, I loved the decor, as for the food- it was good, but could be better. I would probably still eat there, but nothing stood out as special. This was quite an unexpected find while wandering the streets of Venice. We were hungry and following the swarm of tourists, and suddenly noticed the blue sign. Not expecting to find anything authentic as the restaurant was close to one of the busier tourist path, we actually found some familiar dishes and decided to give this place a try. The place was not particularly busy, but our server was very friendly and enthusiastic about his job. We ordered braised short ribs and twice cooked pork belly and had our food in around 10 minutes. The addition of zucchini was unexpected in the pork belly dish, but it honestly added a lot to an already great dish. The only thing that did bother me, was that our waitress (not the younger male server) was constantly on her phone and really did other than take our order. Overall, this is a great spot if you are craving some Chinese while in Italy! read more

Not sure how this place has such a low rating. We popped in here to have a change in cuisine (we have been in Italy for two weeks). The food was fresh and very tasty! The service was friendly and fast and we were given a lot of space and did not feel rushed. The price was right. The atmosphere was pleasant (very pretty outside seating). The order: hella spring rolls, bamboo and mushrooms, sweet and sour chicken, to fu piccante, some other stuff that I can't remember, and 3 bottles of wine The wait staff were extremely confused by our English. At one point we tried to order more spring rolls and that was just too much. The piping hot fried morsels did arrive though, so I'm chilling. So, I was tired of eating bread and missed something different so me and my boyfriend decided to eat Chinese, we were a little spectacle because of the reviews and the star reviews, but I have to give it a 5 because the taste was great! Of course it is a little different than from back home (USA) and the only down size is the portions they are very little so if you come with a big family make sure to get double or triple the order! But besides that I loved it we got noodles, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice and pork dumplings! We thought it was all great and the location is really really clean and cute!! read more

Should have loaded her up on Panda Express before we left the states because I am surprised we didn't get sick after eating at this place. Seafood Soup is delicious and the service was amazing. We came in right at closing and they were more then accommodating.

Decent Chinese food. They use fresh ingredients. The set menu is good for its price. Decent pricing for everything else though. Service is excellent. Outdoor seating is nice. Only complaint is the fried stuff is soaked with oil. Maybe stay away from the fried food then and you are safe. I would come back here when I crave Asian food. read more

Decent Chinese food and fast and attentive services (we came at a quiet time). Keeping in mind that 'good' is subjective, as a Hong-Kong-born Chinese, the food is very reasonable given that you are in Venice, and it's not overly westernized. Have to say the entrance, at night, has a bit if a haunted house feel, and they play ghostly '70s Chinese music. read more

Please do yourself a favor. The food comes in really tiny portions and taste disgusting! From fish to shrimp dishes, none of it is real. The food taste like flour that has fish or shrimp flavor, not real food. I've had better imitation vegan seafood, and its imitation! Just settle for another slice of pizza!! read more

If you want an average Chinese meal with a handful of rice, you are at the right place. After a long walk and several boat rides through Venice, our craving for Chinese food came back and in an alley we found Tian Jin. A mix of Chinese lampions, roman statues and plastic chairs greeted us as we entered the restaurant. We were greeted friendly and the furniture inside had a nice 70s look was very inviting. After the mandatory lecture, that a bowl of rice is 2 € and not for free we ordered right away. The bowl of rice was a mere handful or rice and it reminded me of old advertisement campaigns, that there is only a handful of rice for each individual a day in some countries. Not PC, yes, but I had this thought after getting handed this small rice bowl. The food was bland. It lacked salt and the hot dishes were not as hot as excepted. The food was average in this respect, but the whole package would only be 2 1/3 stars. My advice: If you really crave Chinese food, you can try. If you are just curious, stick with Pizza and Pasta. read more

I don't know why this place is rated with three stars cause it's delicious!! I highly recommend trying the shrimp dumplings, best dumplings I've ever had. My wife and i were simply craving Chinese food and found this place. The menu doesn't describe the food well. I should have realized that by the misspelling of chicken throughout the menu. When the food came we asked if it was the right dish and they said it was. We asked for something else and each employee refused. The service was terrible too. The staff would walk two feet near the entrance to smoke or go sit in the back without even asking about the food. We didn't touch the item in question and they still made us pay for it when it wasn't as described on the menu. One lady kept talking about where I was from when explaining why we had to pay for food we didn't order. They don't like US citizens at this Chinese restaurant, FYI. This is my first review on yelp while abroad. I do wish I had something more positive to say. But on account of everything from the unexceptional food to the atmosphere of the place (the constantly repeating cycle of the same handful of songs, the petty extra charges, the shrill manager), my advice is to give this a miss. If you absolutely crave Chinese food even in a gastronomic paradise that is Venice, as I admittedly sometimes do, go to Giardino di Giada nearby. Shocked to see negative reviews. We found the service to be excellent. The Lady would take the order while two others waited nearby to scurry off into the kitchen with the order. I loved the Wonton. Best I've ever had. My past experience with Wonton has been a watery solution. The Wontons AND the soup part were delicious. We had lemon chicken, a pork and beef dish. Holy disgusting! The seafood noodles was blend and short of seafood(two prawns and two squid slices). Tofu was sour and blend. Six thin slices of beef as a dish with a pack of onions. What's worse, it didn't taste like beef. It seems like we paid 28 euros for a table of garbage. The owner even ask one euro for a cup of water. Seriously? Do not eat in this restaurant. We had a horrible experience. After seated down and checking the menu, our children didn't like what they offer. The female owner demanded for 1.50 Eu for use of toilet (my husband went in before looking at the menu) and we felt it was unreasonable. Upon hearing my husband said we should leave, she said we cannot leave unless we pay up. She then pushed me and grabbed my iPad and handbag.
