Arriving in Venice this place was located across the street from my hotel and decided to grab lunch. Service was quick, staff were friendly and spoke English. We all wanted different things so we ordered Chinese and Japanese. The Salmon Nigiri came out first and had a nice color and tasted fresh, a plus since they had Eel (Unagi) Sauce to dip! The Beef with Green Onions tasted good and had great flavor- ordered the dish to be not spicy and they delivered. The Har-Gow came out last and tasted good. I agree with those Yelpers who needed a break -- despite the deliciousness of Italian cuisine! Orient Express is adequate. It wouldn't be a restaurant I'd rush to in the states, but frankly I was craving Chinese food and this hit the spot. Also conveniently located by the train station near the Grand Canal, Orient Express was an easy walk from our hotel. We ordered mixed vegetables, chicken in chili sauce and lo mein with beef. If you want a break from eating pasta and risottos, then you should try this restaurant. I was craving sushi and sashimi, so I had to try this place out. They have an all-you-can-eat dinner and lunch deal. The alcoholic drinks and dessert are not part of the deal. The food was decent. I like the tonno flambé and salmon flambé. After 2 weeks of being in Italy me and my wife were craving for something different. I found this place close to St. Marco Piazza we got there we checked the menu and they have a Lots of options in the menu with pictures of the dishes I found that really helpful for ordering the food. Dishes look totally different to the American Chinese Restaurants but they were delicious. My wife ordered Spicy Chicken with vegetables and I ordered some beef ribs all the dishes don't come with rice so we ordered two sides of white rice. The ribs and the chicken were delicious and tasty. The prices are decent for the area of Venezia. The service was ok we got our food quickly. You can compare the service here to the low key service you get at some dim sum places in the States, but the food was good. It depends on what you order though. When you are temporarily tired of pasta, pizza and calzones, try a bit of spice while in Venice including donar kebabs and this little Chinese restaurant a walk away from the train station. Good service, delicious food, inside and outdoor seating (though during the day I definitely recommend inside with the A/C) and even some Korean dishes (including jjamgbong: a hot spicy noodle dish with seafood). I ordered the fried rice and fried duck (one of their specialities according to the waitress). The duck was definitely an excellent choice: don't expect Peking Duck because this is not it. This is more like a crispy fried duck: not oily but still moist and tender. I definitely recommend it. Water is a bit on the high side as restaurants around here to but overall it's a good eats. We were really delighted to find a decent Chinese food place during our week in Venice. We dined here twice. They have an easily understood menu. Prices are reasonable - except of course for bottled water. My favorite were the fried egg rolls. Great service. The place was spotless and right on the man walkway about 7 minutes from the train station. But in Venice it's hard to find the best of the best for affordable or even rational prices. While visiting Venice, TOURISTS BEWARE of restaurant traps on main streets or avenues. Most are mediocre Italian food restaurants with over priced pastas and pizzas. While we stayed for 3 days, we tried 5 restaurants and 2 bakeries. Most of those restaurants offer dry, bland, or tasteless dishes. And way overpriced (our meals for 2 people cost from 38 euro to 86 euro)... we thought the more expensive restaurants would offer better Italian food. Not true. Price does not reflect taste or quality for food in Venice. Orient Express is of course not Italian food, but offers tasty meat, chicken, seafood, and vegetable plates with much better taste than the local competition. Owners seem very friendly and happy to help if one doesn't speak the local language too. There's free WiFi, the place is nicely decorated, and most importantly AIR CONDITIONING! Venice is hot, so helpful to get some cool air while you eat. Meal here for 2 was 32 euro. Recommend. Can you ever get tired of Italian food? Yes! And in venice, this is the solution. We have only been in Italy a week but were craving something different. My wife found the orient Express on yelp and we went. It was exquisite. The pot stickers were the best we ate in years. Sweet and sour pork was not too sweet but still tasty. We stopped here late one evening for dinner. We recently moved to Europe and it is really hard to get good Chinese food. This is probably one of the best Chinese restaurants we have tried in Europe. And we have tried a lot! You can't be in Europe or any country other then China, and expect it to taste like 100% authentic Chinese. Fairly priced and came out real quick. I notice some people complain about the service charge in the restaurant. This is pretty common in Italy, especially in touristy areas. Not a scam. They usually have it on the menu. Just consider it the "tip" since tipping is not as common among Europeans. Service wasn't sensational but we everything went great. I would certainly recommend this place. More Mediterranean / Middle Eastern food than Asian. We saw dishes from Syria, Lebanon, Bangladesh...you can get a quite decent samosa here, lots of halal food, good hummus and baba ganoush. We're a few folks who really like vegetables, and there were lots of vegan dishes here. The Fattoush salad hit the spot, with the nicely herbed cukes, salad, and tomatoes (dressed with mint and lemon) and the jasmine rice with the tomatoes & zucchini were awesome! The portions were tiny for what the dishes were charged for. We ordered the wonton soup and there were like 5 tiny little dumplings in there. Honestly I've never seen wontons so small given that I grew up in China. Also the soup was bland. We also ordered the pan fried calamari. The taste is mediocre and I wondered if they put a lot of MFG in there. The main dish we ordered was the lobster. Large photos and assigned number per item makes ordering easy. 4 days here and my hubby finally found a meal that made him smile. A cozy low ambience lighting spot nestled between a few hotels on the Main Street. Simple clean decor with the obvious oriental decor and style. Friendly staff eager to serve. Nice for small groups of 6 or less. The food is good, served hot and actually looks like the photo in which you ordered from. Today it is raining in Venice, and it calls for some soup! We came to this restaurant and we're definitely not disappointed! The soup was AMAZING! I ordered the spicy seafood. Yum! We tried Orient Express while on vacation in Italy. We were getting tired of pasta and pizza, and craved something different. We were pleasantly surprised with fairly quick service and good Chinese food. We had dumplings, wonton soup, spring rolls, vegetable chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, and beef with peppers. We liked it all! Our waitress did forget to bring a beer we'd asked for at one point, but we could see they were pretty busy.
