Traspatio ended up being one of the absolute highlights of our time in Los Cabos. From the moment we walked into the intimate open-air courtyard, we knew we were in for something special. The setting feels like a hidden backyard oasis -- soft lighting, light music playing in the background, and a cozy, romantic atmosphere that still feels relaxed and welcoming. The food was phenomenal. We started with the Tuétanos (bone marrow), which was rich and perfectly roasted, topped with charred corn, fresh radishes, and Serrano chiles that added brightness and just the right amount of heat. It was indulgent without being overwhelming -- an incredible starter. The Queso Fundido with chistorra sausage was everything you want it to be -- bubbling, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with the smoky, slightly spicy chistorra. Comfort food elevated. For our main, we had the ribeye, and it was outstanding. Cooked beautifully, deeply flavorful, and high quality. Every bite reinforced how much care goes into the food here. What really stood out was the value. The quality of the dishes rivals some of the higher-end restaurants in Cabo, yet the pricing felt more than fair. Based on food quality and overall experience, this easily ranks among our favorite dinners of the trip. This is a serious hidden gem and you will be remiss. If you don't make a point to stop here for dinner. My family was in the mood for really good ribs after overdosing on shrimp and Mexican food search up ribs on yelp and TripAdvisor and found this place listed so impressed from the minute. We arrive with a beautiful garden, outdoor cozy, dining area and fire up grill. Our server was amazing and she spoke perfect English and took my father's ridiculous jokes with a smile and a grain of salt. She also made sure that my mother knew that her dish was a smaller serving which my mom actually didn't even finish. We ordered the pork rib dinner with an upgrade of the baked potato, which was the best thing ever. Potato was perfectly served with a mixture of butter, and perhaps sour cream wished and large fresh chunks of bacon on top. The sauce barbecue was sweet and tangy, but not too much of either. For the moment we walked into the moment we left everything was absolutely perfect. The ambience is inviting and soothing, and the food absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place and will keep it on my return to list whenever I am in San Jose del Cabo! This is a hidden gem on a side street near the original city of San Jose del Cabo. Al Fresco dining at high level. The dining area was welcoming with shading trees, well decorated, providing a great ambiance for the evening. The staff was welcoming and very attentive and spoke Spanish and English There was a variety of dishes available to choose from with the focus being steaks. Much of the food and especially meats are prepared over an open grill just off the seating area and enhancing the flavors of the meats and vegetables as they cook. The Sangria was very traditional and sweetened only by the fruit and no added sugars. A must for those who like al fresco dining and are living near or visiting the resorts in the Cabo area. read more

Slightly sweet, crisp greens, apples, dried berries, great dressing but not too much. When it came out we thought it was a bit too much, but the three of us crushed it. Would have been happy with more. - Bread for the table: nothing special, but the olive tapenade they served with it was excellent. Yum salt. -Mac and cheese: Bacon Mac and Cheese executed well, served in a hot skillet still bubbling. Sort of hard to beat. -Rib Eye over roasted potatoes and veggies: The fact that the steak was perfectly done was sort of expected at this point. It's a steakhouse. Unexpected was that the side of broccoli also raised some eyebrows. -Corn pudding: wasn't sure what it would taste like. Almost didn't order it because we've had near perfect dinners brought down by sub-par desserts. The texture is a bit hard to describe, but not in a bad way. Flavor was well balanced between sweet sauce and bready pudding. I was a fan. Our waiter Juan spoke English well and took great care of us! The restaurant itself is also beautiful. This place is incredible in every way! So much so we went twice during our one week vacation in San Jose del Cabo. The team working here is attentive and offer a very relaxing/personalized experience. I don't even have words for the food because it is so delicious. This place is in a neighborhood so hard to find but worth it. The server spoke English and they have an english menu We were looking for a steakhouse and this place didn't disappoint! They know how to season and cook a steak. The portion size was enormous. Our entire meal consisted of : 3 drinks (one alcohol, two orange spritzers) 1 appetizer 2 steaks with roasted potatoes The cost was about $1,000 pesos, and we have almost a full steak and most of the potatoes with us for breakfast tomorrow. Went to Cabo December 28th, 2019. Love love love this restaurant! It was an Anniversary celebration. The couple knew the Chef and family but had not been yet to their restaurant. There were 20 of us. We had the best meal of our entire stay. My favorite place now to go in San Jose' del Cabo. The atmosphere was sensational, outdoor elegance, 5 star food. Everything we all had was fabulous. Best steaks ever! The Appetizers were different, gourmet, classy and delicious. Can't say enough about it. It is not in your typical downtown market area, but the taxi's know where to find it. Wow!!!!! We just discovered this treasure and absolute LOVED it!!! The setting is spectacular. Traspatio means "backyard' and that's just where you are. The ambiance is beautiful? The food outstanding. We shared the beet and goat cheese salad....Huge! We shared the Porterhouse steak and had both the vegetables and the potatoes. Serving was large, too. Covered in herb butter, it was cooked to perfection. Mario was an outstanding server. All was priced reasonably. The crowning glory was listening to Regino on the harp. He's here every Thursday night, 7-9pm. We can't wait to come back and try the risotto! Oh, almost forgot to mention the warm bread served a delicious olive tapenade!
