Got a phone call from someone at the company after soliciting an auto transportation quote online. When I answered the first call and said hello he quickly hung up after saying "This guy answers his phone but doesn't say anything." The sales person called right back and when he asked if I could hear him I told him I could hear him then and on his previous call but he didn't hear me. When I said that he completely changed his attitude and said "It's probably your phone that is broken...and my phone works but I just don't like talking to assholes!" and hung up. I didn't respond but I got a call immediately afterwards from a private number and when I answered it was the same person who said "Listen asshole, I make more money in a month than you make in a year!" and hung up again! Earlier today, I called Transport Connection. There was no answer, so I hung up and planned to call back in the afternoon. A bit later I saw I had a new voicemail message -- I checked it and heard an angry message from a man named Bill claiming to be the owner and president of Transport Connection. He berated me for having the audacity to call his business number and not leave a message, and scolded me that if I was too lazy (his word) to leave a message, I shouldn't have called in the first place. He sounded downright furious. I don't know much about the transport service that Bill provides. It may be excellent, for all I know. It's clear, however, that his customer service skills are deplorable. I'd hate to be in any situation where I had to work with him to resolve an issue that came up with an auto transportation that he'd coordinated. Leave a message on company's voicemail, get a call back a few hours later. The owner/salesman/representative instantly states that is not the actual price, it'll be higher. He goes on about how his company is "number one in the universe", how he drives an "aston martin and porsche", and how he offers the best service, which is why his price is higher than the rest. I question why his deposit is so high compared to others, he says "what kind of question is that". Bill from Transportation Connection called and first he wanted me to review his business by looking at his links and reviewing his marketing BS, then he tried telling me how bright and articulate I was. Told him Wednesday I just posted the request for proposals and was going to review them over the weekend and have a decision by early next week. He then called back Friday and when I told him his prices were higher than all others, he got angry and even started using profanity. As it turns out, they weren't "real" transport companies, but aggregators that spam your data to dozens of companies (similar to Expedia for flights). JUNE 29 3:59 AM I immediately started getting bombarded with emails and phone quotes and most of them were from Bill (Transport Connection). After doing some research, I accepted a quote (NOT from Bill) and my car was transported safely to Tampa in 2 days. JUNE 30 - JULY 14 3 weeks later, I'm still receiving quotes (in fact, I got one today!). Bill emailed me on July 1,3,6,8,10,14 and each one, I clicked Unsubscribe. On the 14th, I got so annoyed, I replied with "NO, I TOLD YOU FOR THE 20TH TIME!" and this didn't fly very well with Bill. Apparently, he thought that was an invitation to stalk and harass me via phone because he called me at 8AM to interrupt my waffles and tea just to curse me out. BILL: "Idiot! Idiot! I only emailed you one fuc**** time." ... He tried to go into some epic rant so I hung up on him. Apparently, bill is unaware that his computer is operating by itself (Look ma, no hands). I was sad to see I was not the only person treated very rudely, disrespectfully and unprofessional. I contacted the company via internet inquiry for a quote to transport my car, however, when he called me I was driving and we were disconnected. The reason we were disconnected i was driving through the mountains and lost service. The man - who didn't leave his name - left the following message, "why are you picking up your phone and then immediately hang up afterwards. What's the point of going on line and requesting a quote if your going to play games". About an hour later, when I was able, I returned his call spoke to the same man respectful telling him I didn't hang up. He said I don't seem like the kind of person who would hang up. DO NOT EVEN CALL THIS COMPANY!!! I was calling around to get auto transportation quotes for an upcoming relocation across the company. I called the toll free number because I found it online. There was strange music playing and after 20-30 seconds of no answer, I hung up. The music didn't sound professional so I thought I possibly called the wrong number and didn't give it another thought. I get a call back within about a minute. "You just called me. You only let it go through half a ring and hung up! Who is this?!" - the tone was very aggressive. I said, "I have been calling around for auto shipping quotes. They had a very high rating so I requested an instant quote to move my husband's Jeep to Tucson. They came back with $820, so I emailed back to start setting things up. The emails go to the president of the company, who first replied asking, didn't I want to know how the process worked first? Then he emailed me with an updated quote for $1,050, saying the initial quote accounted for the mileage and not the route. This was my email response: "OK, then please disregard my previous email; we definitely can't afford that. And we're familiar with the process; we're a military family and have done this with our vehicle many times before . Thanks!" And here was his reply: "You may have done it before but I do it for a living on a daily basis and therefore, I know a thousand times more about the process and pricing than you do. I am deleting your information from my database. Yelp needs to let us give ZERO or MINUS stars... this guy was so bad he didn't even deserve ONE! I received two separate quotes, about $100 difference. I also received two phone calls. On the first call I told him I was hoping to get the car transported for $500 or less. He said, "Then you better get in your car and drive it yourself." And hung up on me. The second phone call I asked if he wasn't the guy I just spoke to. He said, "Oh you're the one who doesn't want to pay anything." I told him I received two quotes from him, and wanted to know which was right. He proceeded to tell me I was crazy if I thought any automated telemarketing quotes were reliable. Both quotes came from his email address. I began telling him again that I had received a quote close to what I wanted, then he cut me off. My experience with Bill was several months ago. I put a review up then but he called my job and told them he would sue them and wanted me fired if I didn't remove it. He stalked me on social media threatening me. But what he didn't know is that my family is both law enforcement and works in the criminal justice system in South Florida. My review: I called Transport Connection one morning when I researched companies to transport a couple of cars across different states. The call went straight to voicemail so I left a message asking for some information about transporting vehicles and the company. He called me back but got my assistant, to whom he was yelling at and saying "someone called me from this number but I don't remember who it is so you need to figure it out." She got the message to me. I called him back and he picked up yelling "HELLO" I said "Hello is this Transport Connection" He said "yes stop playing on my phone. you sound like a dirty, dumb n****r" I said "excuse me "I'm calling for a quote". He said "I would never help you b***h get off my phone" I told my assistant. I put my review up and that is when the real hate started. He called my job and wanted to talk to HR, my supervisor and the president to get my fired because I put up a review on yelp. My job fully supported me but I decided to take the review down. He called me back but this time I sent the cal straight to my father whom is law enforcement. He missed out on transporting 10+ cars. However, no agreement was arrived and shortly after that, I found out a better deal and declined his service. He wrote me an email, like why I didn't choose his service and I simply replied with the reason above. OK. Here is what I got from him... I can't understand what his problem is... I pasted the EXACT lines he wrote: "No, the real reason is because you are a CHEAPSKATE and don't want to pay the hard working carriers out there the amount of money that they require to move your vehicle. These men work hard and have families to support. Shame on you for being so cheap!" I was very upset after reading this rude email. As he explained to me, the carrier who is responsible for the shipping is the same for different company. There is no way I could get any quote price lower than what he gave to me. However, what I found out was that a lot other companies just simply charged way less. The only reason I could think of is that he is not honest and trying to get the most out of your pocket. Quoted me his fee of $150 and then listed the car to be shipped from Denver to Salt Lake City for $275.01 and would go up to $300 if it didnt move in a few days. My total budget was $450, which I made very clear. He would then call and said he found a company to move the car, but all at higher cost than he quoted. Bill was a great person to work with. He spent more than an hour on the phone with my cousin to work out the logistics of moving our car. He quoted us 900 and because he found a driver who would take the car earlier, he was able to talk them down to 800. He also was super responsive in answering text messages and voicemails.
