My opinion and our experience with Transport Connection aka Bill Avrich of Boca Raton Florida was horrible. The "Yelp sort" sorting order cleverly and erroneously makes it look like this business is well regarded. It's just the opposite, if you're smart enough to dig around for the real facts. After one quick google search, I found out that so many other people on many websites asked for price quotes and have also filed complaints and posted negative rating reviews against the rude, vulgar, and harassing owner, which is probably just the tip of the iceberg. Transport Connection is owned by 61 year old Bill Avrich of Boca Raton Florida, and you're one google search away from hours of entertainment when you check out his many felony arrest prison inmate mugshot photos that are publicly available, including his very large facial scar deformity, and that same google search will unveil a huge number of first hand accounts of him bullying and threatening and harassing and insulting people of various nationalities that would make the most racist person on earth blush. Not to mention all the lewd and misogynistic language he directs toward women and very anti gay homophobic statements, which are all easily verified public information and just one google search away. To prove it, just put his name "Bill Avrich" in the google search box along with virtually any foul language word, and you'll see the very definition of "Hate Speech", for which many people go to jail. Despite all this and much, much more, Palm Beach County Florida law enforcement won't go after him and put him back in prison. Hmmm. Time for some phone calls to City Hall, fellow yelp readers? If this business responds to a complaint or a negative business review online, many of the owner's responses involve him accusing others of "harassment" or "slander", the very conduct he is guilty of, and often stalks, harasses, and threatens lawsuits although he himself is the perpetrator and has ironically been arrested and in prison multiple times, now suddenly clinging to adherence to the law. Classic "projecting", as we psychologists say. Besides, in addition to the internet having page after page of evidence of the above, some past reviewers of this business have no doubt wisely saved the phone calls or emails they may have received, for their records, which they could easily refer to law enforcement or social media connections. Transport Connection has many questionable positive reviews all over the internet, perhaps vainly trying to bury the owner's horrendous customer service reputation? Do a google search and pay attention to the repetitive patterns of the questionable positive reviews and it will all become obvious, and a couple suspicious examples are right here on yelp and also on the autotransportersreviews website. All the "customers" just happen to refer to him personally as "Bill" in all their glowing positive reviews? Yeah, sure. We ended up getting a quote and having our vehicle transported by an honest, reputable, non harassing, non vulgar business instead. This is my opinion of the Transport Connection business of Boca Raton, FL. Every single thing stated here about Transport Connection aka William Avrich is publicly available information and is easily proven, although several people on various websites have stated that the owner has threatened them about their honest negative reviews about his business. The Boca Raton Police Department have somehow failed to take action on behalf of the taxpaying public regarding the conduct stated above and behavior reported elsewhere on the internet. We bought a huge van on eBay that needed to be shipped from Colorado to Virginia. I researched companies and came down to 2 - Montway and Transport Connection. I chose Montway because I read a few reviews complaining that Bill at Transport Connection was a bit aggressive in his business style. Wow, do I wish I had chosen him first! Montway agreed to transport the vehicle. Then nothing. No phone calls, no emails, nothing. I waited a week and finally started calling. I must have called 4 times. Each time a different person answered and gave me a standard "we are working on finding a driver, please be patient" answer that they were reading off a screen. Finally I had enough and called Bill. I left a message on his voicemail: "Bill, I'm having a hard time getting this van shipped, I heard you're The Fixer, please call me back". Within 5 minutes he personally called me. He looked up my record on the country-wide transport database and said that Montway hadn't even put my van in there for truckers to see. No wonder no driver was getting assigned! I asked him how to cancel with Montway, and he told me specific language to use in an email to end my contract. I sent it to Montway, they emailed a confirmation, and Bill listed the van. The next day Bill called me directly and said that Montway had put my van back in the datase, so now there were 2 listings for it and no trucker would pick it up because it's confusing. I asked him if I should call Montway. He said no, we are going to 3-way call them right now. He called them with me on the line and said "my customer cancelled with you, you still have her van on the board, get it off now". They said I needed to personally confirm, so I said "I'm here and he's right", and they gave me a standard "we'll cancel within 24 hours". Bill got upset and said "no, cancel it right NOW, hit the delete button and get it off". The lady at Montway put us on hold to "call the cancellation department", and within 2 minutes it was removed. Bill got me a driver the next day, even refusing to give the driver a higher price when he tried to negotiate it up. My van was delivered on time and without incident. I truly think my van wouldn't have gotten shipped without Bill. It was an unusual vehicle - 20 feet long and 9+ feet high, and needed a special carrier. Bill got it done and done fast. Yes, he has an aggressive style, but that is exactly what I needed to get it shipped. He's a likeable guy in a New Jersey Italian kind of way who doesn't put up with any bull and says it like it is. The world of vehicle shipping is very competitive (I had like 15 quotes and 10 voicemails within minutes of asking for a bid on TransportReviews.com), and I felt like Bill took care of me through a very complex and unfamiliar process. This is my honest experience without any pressure or compensation from Bill, just a grateful heart. Don't hesitate to use Bill at Transport Connection. Edit # 2: Bill followed through and posted complaints about me on different consumer websites with his usual vitriol, slander and hatred. He also called me and left a bunch of voicemails, my favorite was the one about "yelp being for liberal Californian f*gs and that no one cares about it." I am writing this on behalf of my fiancé. Bill is a rude and disgusting man. My fiancé did not reach out to him, she received roughly 10-15 calls from various auto transporters... with Bill being one of them. She is a Special Agent investigator for her state Attorney General, so obviously she's vigilant and is going to investigate prior to picking a company. She does this for a living. She spent three days performing background checks and looking up reviews online for each and every company that called her. After reading these Yelp reviews, no one in their right mind is going to choose Transport Connection. Come on, Bill, you were convicted for extortion. She received multiple calls from Bill later that same day and chose to ignore them. The next day she received more and decided to answer because she was tired of him calling nonstop. Surprise, surprise: he insulted her for choosing a different company, called her ridiculous, said she broke their deal, etc., yelling at her (mind you, they did not have a deal, she simply received a quote). Bill, grow up. You have to be out of your mind to think that anyone is going to choose your transport company. You may be able to fool some people who are in a time crunch or those who choose not to peruse the internet, but not my fiancé who works in law enforcement and alongside attorneys all day. You really thought we would choose your company with these pitiful reviews? And then you have the nerve to call and insult her, as if your company even stood a chance? Cannot stop laughing. We called around a few months ago for some quotes to get our car moved from the West Coast to the East. (we have 3 cars, but there is only 2 of us so we need to get the 3rd moved). I got a quote from William "Bill" Averich, it was a little higher than some others. not by much, but I'm not going to spend more if I don't have to. He goes on a rant in the middle of our call about me being a little millennial cheapskate (ps.... not a Millennial) and starts swearing at me before hanging up. My girlfriend wrote a review on Yelp and he started harassing her with phone calls and threatening messages. how he is going to ruin her through the use of the internet and how her friends will see how horrible she is.... blah blah blah. There was a review from a "Sylvia" earlier, which described her bad customer service, which also had a really nasty "comment on a review" from someone sticking up for Transport Connection's mgmt, by attacking Sylvia. It included her own correspondence to the company, and the correspondence back from the vendor. It was very informative, and reinforced other bad reviews for this vendor. That entire review is now gone. Why did it disappear? - Is it because the vendor complained to Yelp? - Is it because the vendor was able to silence his critics with threats, again? - Is it because it contained nasty emotional criticism, on both the part of the customer and the vendor? As potential customers, I think we can make our minds up as to how to interpret the reviews we see. - Is it because no money changed hands? Dealing with a vendor as a "potential" customer and being mistreated, is a legitimate grounds for reviewing them. I wrote earlier that BBB and TransportReview.com do not let "potential customers" who have not actually paid a vendor make reviews, but that is not part of Yelp's guidelines. I purchased a classic truck on Ebay 4/1/14. I went to a transport review website and started getting quotes. Transport Connection quoted me at $370. I thought that this was a good deal so I contacted them. The actual amount they wanted was $650. So I decided to shop around a bit. Bill, the owner obnoxiously kept calling and emailing me, so I when I told him I was shopping around, I got this response,"Your mother must've been a real whore to span a cheap prick like you. Your name says it all but I won't even go there. Fuck your mother and fuck you where you breathe you cheap slob. BLOCKED." This a direct quote! The first one is where I posted a screen shot of his text message to me for not using his company which I am glad that I didn't. I used Door To Door and gave me a good price. He has since just today which has been over a week since I hire the other company and my initial "text" from Bill and he called from a blocked number 4 times and when I finally answered he told me to go to Hell and fuck off! I used a web site to find a company to move my car which REQUIRED me use my cell phone number so they could text me a code to get my quote. I was immediately overwhelmed with phone calls every 30 secs. I could not handle the volume of call and try to work at home. This guy was one of those who called. I told him I was being harassed with phone calls every 30 secs and hung up as he was speaking. I have requested a quote on transport reviews and found the best price (around $650) and good ratings for this transport company. I called the Transport connection and got the quote ($900 - $1000), for which i replied as I will get back after contacting some other companies. Thats when I had to hear most abusive words of my life. "I HEARD YOUR ACCENT, AND THEN I IDENTIFIED YOU AS A CHEAP INDIAN BASTARD. I WILL NEVER DO ANY BUSINESS WITH YOU........." I believe I have right to hear quotes from you and do whatever I want to do with my car. But he called me back repeatedly for about 3-4 minutes. He gave me an estimate of somewhere between $1,500-$1,600. I thanked him and let him know we had a lower estimate. Merely look at theresponces that he, the owner of the company gives to both, unsatisfied and potential customers that decided to rakethwir money elsewhere. As a potential customer i will nevr use a company that harasses people the way that this guy does. Don't contact this company for a quote.
