Heather would Equestrian Academy was a great experience. Never been horseback riding so I didn't…read moreknow what to expect. You don't need to bring anything to the academy before your experience. They provide the helmets for you to wear. Some of them were pretty worn out so you just have to dig for one of the few better ones. Wear old sneakers and clothes you don't care for. You'll get horse hair on you and smell like a horse at the end of your hour long experience (you spend 15 mins grooming at least, or longer before actually getting to ride the horse). Our instructor (who I am working sure was in her teens lol) was very professional and patient! We were taught how to groom the horses (which allowed us to bond with her) before riding it around the property. The property seemed pretty large and they had a trail that leads into the woods of the property. The horses seem to know the drill all too well as you didn't have to nudge them to begin walking. They also knew exactly where to go and which turns to take on the path. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.

Jackie and her employees love horses and take very good care of them. They know each of the horses so well. The horses are well fed. Jackie always watches the weather and if it's bad she will leave the horses in. Otherwise they go out every day except Sunday. The owners of the horses are very nice and we get along well. Krystal is the trail boss. She does a wonderful job with the people that rent horses for trail rides.
