We had the best experience here! We rented 3 of the available rentals. We got a jet ski, a dinghy, and the electric bikes. They were affordable, great equipment in great shape, and the staff were exceptional!!!!!! The staff was friendly, informative, accommodating and just kind!! This is the worst business I've ever used before. Disrespectful, rude and stupid. I've spent $10,000 over the past few years with them renting their subpar equipment and then they picked a fight with me over being 30 minutes late to return a JetSki, when it was raining! Then a few hours before I was due to rent a boat, they cancelled because their boat broke down. Maybe they should focus on better customer service and product then trying to fine people for late returns -- in the rain. Dumbest people in retail I've met. read more

Came here first time for jet ski rental and got refused to serve because staff assumed that we "look like someone that were here last year that broke their boat". This trip was not at all how I expected and very disappointed. If you want a stress free experience - try going somewhere else. Once we got into the boat the (very young worker said 2 things to non boat experienced people): press that button and don't press the gear too much this way or other way. The first hour of our trip something must of been wrong as the boat was going the speed of pontoon. We couldn't enjoy the tube and ended up just swimming around in the middle of the lake. One of our passengers got sick and we went back to the docks and dropped and her and went back to enjoy our last 2 hours. We were finally able to get faster speed (not sure how we did it - but based on previous reviews it's not the first time). Once we got back - they called us to tell us we broke the propeller and we have to pay for it. They said that we drove in shallow water - which we did not. They did not believe us - which awesome but we're adamant that was the only Way it could happen. They could not prove if it was a maintenance issue or can prove maintenance was all up to date before our trip. Unfortunately we were victims of shady business. They charged us $600 - Jim could not provide any information. No to proof that it was us or before hand or that this boat wasn't having issues or if it was poorly installed. Again not a boat expert. But when you provide a $600 fee (his apparent quote) he could not provide this said "quote" that he got in 10 minutes It must be a desperate way to make money - but it was the worst customer service possible and really not worth it. Don't go hear unless you want it get ripped off by a crook ****Wanted to clarify one thing because this owners "response" or lack of response. We aren't the only people who had issues and charges that weekend see below us. We were still in shallow water and going very slow. You have to start in shallow water to get to the deeper water. Correct no one should of said profane words. But like I said they still cannot provide proof the boat is in good decision before hand. Disappointed in the customer service. read more

They have only very recently started waverunner rentals. Their prices are $95/hr with a 2hr min. on each waverunner. They are so brand-new that double- triple-confirm what they tell you -- the first person we spoke with on the phone said they're open until 9pm and the second person said only 6pm. Also, you do need to have a certificate (for boating safety) to rent a waverunner in MI if you're born after '74 (I think), because of which we had to cancel our plans (as they didn't tell us this up-front). read more

Save your money on the two-hour yacht cruise. The vessel is 20+ years old and clearly hasn't been cleaned in a long time! For almost $700.00 I expected a boat that was in better keep. Don't be fooled by the word 'yacht'. You are not going to be enjoying champagne dreams on this beast. read more

Don't have an option for zero stars. Do not rent from them. They are dishonest crooks. My 18 year old daughter rented a jet ski on their website in August. Their website states you must be 18 to rent. When she got there, they told her you had to be 21 and refused to give her money back. They offered to give her a credit, that she wouldn't be able to use for 3 years. Horrible business practices. You should be ashamed of yourselves for stealing a college kid's money. read more

Awful experience. Would give zero stars if I could. We rented a boat from here and towards the end of our rental time the boat started sounding funny. We were literally just driving the boat straight ahead in open water at the time. We brought the boat back in and told them about it and about 15 minutes later our credit card had been charged $600 and we were told that we broke the propeller and had to pay for it. We went back to try to explain that we did absolutely nothing to break it and did not operate the boat in any way shape or form outside of how it's supposed to be operated. It just happened to break while we were renting. Jim wouldn't even listen to what we had to say and simply said "you must have hit something" (we absolutely did not). We tried to dispute this and he sm told us "too bad, you signed a waiver". We rented a 20 year old boat that happened to break down while we were renting and Jim forced us to pay for the repairs so that he didn't have to. Jim is a con man. DO NOT rent here. There are plenty of other options in the area where the owner doesn't have a complete lack of integrity. EDIT: I see Jim has responded and implied we "ran the boat aground". This is absolutely and unequivocally untrue. He also mentions without context that we said we weren't in shallow water for very long. What he didn't mention is that we actually said "We never went any shallower than 10 feet and we weren't even at that depth very long". Clearly 10 feet isn't anywhere close to being shallow enough to "run the boat aground" (it was over 100 yards from the shore at minimum) and the short time we spent floating at that depth (not even driving) wasn't even when the problem occurred. It happened roughly an hour later when we were boating hundreds of yards off the shore at a depth of 20+ feet. Jim is twisting our words and flat out lying about what happened to make it look like the cause of the problem was some sort of irresponsible behavior on our part. This is 100% false. The boat we rented broke during normal operation of the boat and Jim stuck us with the bill to avoid having to pay for the cost to repair it himself. Period. Again- there are other options in the area. I'd avoid this place at all costs. read more

Came to visit my family staying in Union Pier. I was sitting on the beach and wondered how much it would be to rent a wave runner?. Looked it up and Oselka came up, Called them and got pricing which was fair and they had an opening for 5:30 that day so I booked it. They sent me all the info to sign and did this all from my laptop. Showed up at 5:10 to avoid any problems and there were none. Had to wait a few minutes as the previous customers were a little late getting back. They honored the additional time and extended my rental to accommodate the late start. The watercraft was in new condition and very fast and fun. My son and I had a blast. If I had anything negative to say It would be that a half hour is used to exit and re-enter the marina as it is a no-wake zone and pretty far from the lake. Not really their fault, so 5 stars for the experience and would recommend them to all looking for a great experience. read more

We rented a wave runner, the service was great and it was a lot of fun.

Oselka's is pretty unique compared with the other marina's around the Michigan side of the lake. It has floating docks so you don't have to climb down a ladder to get on your boat. It's surrounded by a 4 star resort/hotel so the atmosphere is very upscale, and has a very nice marina pool and ship store. Jim and his brother Mark (the owners) are also 2 of the nicest people you could meet. The price is a bit higher than the others, but I think well worth it. read more

This is a must if you are visiting New Buffalo MI. This is also my first yelp review because of the incredible time we had, I had to write a review. I booked the sunset yacht cruise as a gift for my wife for our wedding anniversary. I worked with Jim and Captain Bill. Jim (owner) was so nice and accommodating. He worked with my wife and I to make it perfect. Captain Bill was so nice and a great captain, letting us play our own music and took pictures of my wife and I that came out amazing with the sunset in the background. Also Captain Bill knew the area very well and seemed very experienced which made it even better for asking questions etc. I can't speak for some of the other reviews, actually surprised that all of the reviews aren't 5 stars. We have taken cruises in a lot of other places and this was by far the best. They were also great with social distancing and made us feel comfortable the entire time. The next day we rented a jet ski and again, awesome experience. The only thing I would recommend is filling out your waiver ahead of time. They gave us two reminders to do so, and we didn't ha which was our fault, took a few minutes once we got there to leave. Thanks again Oselka, Jim, and Captain Bill, definitely a time to remember.
