I prefer relaxing massages and although she can give deep tissue and a variety of other types of massage, on the day I went to West Island Massage I was suffering from two broken ribs. I was a bit intrepid about having a massage with this type of injury, but any fears I had were vanquished after the experience. Indeed, I needed to relax my body to allow it to heal and this was the perfect way to do it. I would have to say that this was the best massage I have ever had and with the location within walking distance of my home, I can finish my massage experience with a relaxing stroll along the beach. More than ever, I feel massage should become as routine as having one's hair cut or any other aesthetic treatment. In fact, it should be even more frequent! Good job Marianne and thanks for adding to the range of services here on West Island.

I called several massage therapists on Nantucket---and Melody, the lead therapist for Nantucket Holistic Health this summer. Melody came out to our friend's house 15" from town---and made two ladies incredibly relaxed and happy with 90" deep tissue massages ($220/piece and she accepted a credit card). She knew the muscle groups and how they would interact around an injury and she was strong enough to do some real good in releasing muscle tension and working out knots and areas of contraction. The ladies were relaxed, more pain free and happy when she was done. Strongly recommend---It may be useful to note that she's thinking of leaving Nantucket by the fall to go back "off island"---in any case, we hope she returns by the time of our next trip!
