What we didn't expect was becoming part of a community where everyone is like family and super supportive.      Professor Andre is the most patient, kind and understanding person I have ever met. He teaches the kids with so much love and passion. I can't really speak for the adult class, but my husband enjoys it so much, he wishes he could train everyday if his schedule permitted it. Aside from training, they put together ways for families to get to know each other and have fun. Last Halloween they hosted a trunk or treat, which all the families had an amazing time. Also, I was able to attend one of their mom's nights out. I really appreciated that even though I don't personally train - there was something for me as well. There is never any pressure to attend any of the extra stuff, but it's great for all the kids and families to get to know each other outside of class.

The people here are good people. They share their knowledge and are humble. No arrogant people trying to prove that they are better than you and smashing you, like at some other gyms I've been to. Lastly, the cleanliness of the gym is an important factor to me when choosing a gym. At golden state, the mats are cleaned after every class. I like how they clean right after class so that we can all see the mats being cleaned. It gives me a sense of security from bacteria, diseases, covid...etc. Give it a try. It's probably going to be the best gym you go to in the South Bay. Ps. My girls are now taking classes too and they love it.

As far as the class went, it was RAD! The instructor had me focus on myself and my form. He never put me in any situation where I wasn't ready for. In fact he gave me drills to just keep practicing and then would come and check on me and when I was ready he gave me a new move. I really appreciated the patience and the immediate safety/comfort I felt.

I was on the brink of paying for the 6 month upfront package when I found out that as soon as I did this, the rest of my trail month (paid for) would be eliminated. This left a bad taste in my mouth. They explained their reasoning for this, but it bothered me enough to find a new program. One of the gentleman I spoke with was super great and not pushy. I would still consider this studio down the line when my son is older because his private teacher (Robert) was very kind and patient. Bottom Line: My son enjoyed the classes.
