They ran their tests, charged me a fee and could not replicate the failure. Once I got the computer home, it crashed once the game was being played and they said they did everything they could and I was out of luck. I decided months later to see Adam at nerd rangers. He was very thorough in gaining background on the issue. He asked me whether the other repair shop tried to run the actual game? I was not sure so he went ahead and loaded Fortnite and said he would do his best to replicate the issue. Later that day he reached out to let me know that he believes he found the reason the game crashed (as it did for him) and he felt confident that he fixed the issue. When I went to pick up the computer he reassured me that if for some reason the fix didn't work he would continue to work with me to identify the problem. After trying to re-flash, the bios, which was a longshot, they recommended replacing the motherboard at a significantly lower price than their competition. Not only did they source a motherboard at a great price, at my request they replaced my hard drive with a. SSD drive AND GOT ME UP AND RUNNING AGAIN AND IN BEAUTIFUL SHAPE. I delivered her failing computer to him; he then fixed, updated and visited her at her senior center to install and confirm all was well. Very similar story for me but he picked up, repaired, and I met him half-way to take it home, and confirmed its functions by email. I have been recommending Gregg to other friends in my neighborhood and at her senior center as well. We both feel that his service is almost "too good to be true" - but it is truly great service!
