Now to the vet: Dr. Scott Peters has been our family veterinarian for close to two decades. He's maintained the health of our donkeys, horse, dogs, and cats (yes, it gets noisy sometimes out here!). He saw us thru two donkey pregnancies, has a great after-hour emergency service (which we have used more than once), and helped us keep the feral cat population down in our area by spraying/neutering the ferals my mom would trap and bring in (I think most vets would have told her that was crazy to do). I had two dogs before this dog whom I took to other veterinarians. The contrast between previous veterinarians and Dr. Flathers was pronounced. The last veterinarian did not appear to be as thorough in her examinations, her equipment malfunctioned on our last two visits and she seemed to be unable to confidently diagnose my dog's health issue. Every time I have seen Dr. Flathers I have been very impressed with her knowledge and diagnosis of my pet's problems. I would highly recommend Dr. Flathers and Angel Animal Hospital. I do not write reviews but I had to write this one. I had my cat boarded there for about six days…read more I left her favorite pillow for her to sleep on. When I went back to pick her up, I was ask to come back to put her in her carrier. I could not believe how horrible the cages were. I saw her pillow on top of some things and it was never put in the cage with her. The cages were so small the pillow would not even fit. Susie was so upset when I got there to pick her up. She was screaming like I had never heard before. My heart was broken. It took many days for her to get back ti normal. She will never be boarded at Ozark ever again. He showed me the Extxay results to let me understand what he saw and found out and based on these pictures he didn't recommend to start a medication prescription for my Dixie heart condition. I was so relieved that I'll not have to load my small dogie with all the unnecessary medications based on his finding and I was so appreciative of his interpretation of the special situation of my dog. No other vet took the time, before I came to him, to educate me of the condition and gave me all the options of treatments if the condition will worsen. I wish I would come to him before I've signed with the previous veterinary office for a year " insurance" for my dog, so I'll not have to go through all the pressure that the other clinic put me through. Dr Odell is the best one that I came across to in Branson and I'll highly recommend him to any body who's looking for kind, knowledgable and caring vet that will take his time to " educate" you about his diagnosis to put your mind at ease. Beverly and the other ladies who do the phones and scheduling and work the front desk are very nice and so was Thomas, who called us when she was ready and walked us through what she'd need for recovery when we picked her up. I feel confident that everyone there truly loves animals and cares for them well and it makes me less nervous to bring my other cat in. They offer the best prices for spaying and neutering in the area, I called several places and none of them were as affordable as Have a Heart and they don't charge extra for the females and include shots as part of the already, low price. We had to take our 13 yo poodle in when she developed stomach issues. We learned that she was diabetic and dispite heroic efforts by Doctor McKay, she slowly declined. She became unresponsive and had to be helped over the Rainbow Bridge. The entire staff helped us as we mourned her passing. I highly recommend them.

I told her that they had quoted 35 to 50 dollars. Her response was the dog had mats which would be 10 dollars more. I am no genius but it seems like the quote should have been 35 to 60 dollars depending on the condition of the dog. They should have stuck to their quote. No apology for their misquote. He is very knowledgeable, caring and calming (to us) and always takes as much time as we need to understand everything that is going on. We live 1.5 hrs from the clinic and wouldn't dream of changing doctors! Dr Mallard's assistant Faith is awesome as well. She communicates with us and never fails to promptly return our calls.
