This was my first experience with Acupuncture and cupping, and I was definitely hesitant into believing it was going to make any sort of a difference at all. I couldn't have been more wrong, and I am so pleased that I tried. For over a year and a half I have been suffering with some sort of back pain that was so debilitating it was keeping me from working. On top of that I have been suffering from interstitial cystitis for close to 20 years. It took a very long time for me to even get diagnosed, let alone any help. Most doctors told me the same thing over and over again; that there is no cure and that there is no treatment. On top of those things I also suffer from ovarian cysts that rupture, painful periods, undiagnosed stomach issues, and a whole mess of anxiety. When I showed up in their office for my consultation I feel like I was beyond defeated. My body was in pain and my heart and mind had almost given up. Dr. Ann sat with me for an over an hour going over every tiny detail of my pains, my previous diagnosis, treatments I've tried, my diet, my daily life, and absolutely everything I could think of. It was amazing to finally sit down with a doctor and have her actually listen to me. To have her listen to me and BELIEVE me that what I was experiencing was real. Time and time again women's issues are completely disregarded and I was really feeling the effect of that mentally. Dr. Ann changed all that. Each appointment when I go in she goes over everything that's happened since the last time that I saw her. She treats me, my body, and mind. Flash forward 4 1/2 months later, and I am almost entirely pain-free. There are days where I still don't believe it. It seems to good to be true to feel completely normal again. However, it's real, and I am proof. I don't think I can say enough positive things about Dr. Ann and Emily. If you are having any issues, particularly woman's issues, this is where you need to go.
