That simple act of customer service was greatly appreciated! The whole space is warm and inviting, aesthetically pleasing and relaxing, from the brick building to the interior design and room decor. There are a variety of rooms to accommodate the many different experiences you can take part in: a large salt "cave," float tank room (with a shower), red light therapy room, large waiting area, and more. There are so many thoughtful touches - it is obvious that the owners took the time to consider everything a guest might need or want: changing rooms with hair dryers, make up wipes, eye covers, q-tips, ear plugs, shampoo and body wash in the showers, robes...the list goes on. There is even complimentary tea in the reception area. We felt so spoiled and so relaxed that we wished we could have stayed all day! I am partial to this location because it is the one I grew up with- I took gymnastics here. I'm pretty sure the gymnastics facility is exactly the same as it was 20+ years ago when I attended. The best part about this gym (now that I'm an adult) and location is the child watch- it is open 7 days a week. So, if you have kids, you can work out every day almost all day long (2 hour limit). M-F the child watch is open from 8-8, Saturdays from 8-1, and Sundays i think from 12:45-3:45. It seems like a lot of gyms in the area either don't offer childcare or if they do the hours are really limited. There are many different classes offered as well as fitness coaches/trainers if you want that. There are two cardio rooms, a small one with just a few machines and a larger one upstairs with maybe 10 treadmills, a handful of bikes and I think a couple of ellipticals. I typically come here a few days/week with my two littles, drop them off at the daycare, then go running through downtown Summerville (you are required to stay on the campus while you have your kids in the childcare unless you are going on a run in which case I think you just leave them with your cell phone # and then off you go) or I do strength training in the weight rooms. Like every gym this one gets busy from around 4-7 so you may have to fight a fellow 9-5er for a parking spot and then a machine. After 7 the teenagers usually come out for their daily bulking/mirror staring sesh. During the daytime you can almost always find a machine easily since the people that come are typically SAHMs and older people coming in for either pool time or the daytime fitness classes. During the weekdays this location is very popular with older people, they like to come hang out in the community room and chit chat and sometimes play ping pong. The social scene here for 55+ is pretty poppin. Happy sweating!

I have had massages in 2 separate rooms, both are large in comparison to most massage rooms in a "spa" setting, and very calm in atmosphere as well. Lite music to help your mind and body get to that relaxing state. There are many different price point packages you can purchase and many add ons to choose from. I have tried the infrared sauna after my massage and it was wonderful. Virginia is a very thorough masseuse, asking for health information and if you have any trouble spots, if you have had massages before and what techniques you felt were best (hot rocks, deep pressure in certain areas, etc).She makes sure that she knows what you are expecting from the massage - stress / tension relief, pain relief, etc. and that your expectation is met. I have a chronic knot that is behind my scapula and she has worked wonders on getting that to release and relax. And even had a salve she used on it that I was able to purchase and still use at home from time to time when it acts up. There is no rush is getting re-dressed when done and Virginia always has nice words of encouragement and peace to give you when you leave.
