I picked Alamo Driving School based on its Yelp reviews. I didn't need too much tutoring, just a…read morebrief explanation of rules in MN and what to pay attention to during the road test. I give 1 star to their office staff and responsiveness and 5 star to my instructor, Connie. I bought my first class online and called them to schedule. They told me they'd call me back and no one did. I called the next day and got the same response, again no one called me. I went to their office 2 days later and they told me they were on holiday as a reason why nobody returned my calls. If I had been told that they'd be out of office and I had to wait a couple of days, that'd be fine. But they kept telling me they'd return my calls and never did. Similar thing happened with scheduling the road test as well. I called, either no one answered or I was told I will be called back. I had to send a nasty message to finally receive a call and get my test scheduled. On the other hand, my instructor Connie was awesome. She was encouraging and always explaining what to pay attention to during driving. On the exam site, she went over a couple of things we should be careful about. I got my license after the exam. In terms of learning how to drive, it's a good place, if you want to deal with the office staff.

I'd always been a very nervous driver and nothing seemed to help. I'd taken similar services and…read moreonly found myself feeling ripped off and frustrated. That all changed when I found Alamo Driving School. Mohammed was able to ease my apprehension about driving after one lesson. He has an uncanny ability to know exactly what's holding you back as a driver and give you the tools to fix it yourself. He actually seems to believe in his students and pushes them to succeed. I'm now a licensed driver thanks to Alamo Driving School and I'll always remember the driving tips I've picked up from this place. Recommended: Buy the 6 hours behind the wheel and have them drop you off for your drivers test. This worked out amazingly for me and I've heard the same from everyone else I know who took Alamo Driving School.

He was very patient and helped me with reverse parking and parallel parking. I was unable to do this before, despite countless nights practicing with my family. On the day of my appointment (9:00) no one showed up, it was snowing so I though, maybe they are late. I waited until 9:30 when the office opened and said "I had an appointment and no one is here yet, just wanted to check in". The women on the phone had a very rude tone and said. "Well your payment didn't go through so we weren't going to send someone with our payment. We called you and your husband and left you both voice messages." I let her know that I didn't have any missed calls or voice messages and that my husband did have a missed call from them but no voice message. She said "well I know there were messages because I personally left them, so we weren't going to send anyone over. We gave you until yesterday to call us back, and because your payment didn't go through, we aren't going to schedule anything with you" I responded saying,"I can see why you would think I wasn't interested if you said you called and left messages and didn't hear from me, however, no messages were left so I had no idea you still needed payment or what you cancelled my appointment". [I was trying to be understanding, while still being confused about these so called message]. I continued and asked if we can move forward with scheduling something in the future. She said "Well you would need to pay the missed appointment and pay for a new appointment and because your card didn't go through, I REALLY doubt you would want to do that". I said, "I was willing to pay for both appointments but because your tone was rude and condescending and the customer service your providing me is uncalled for" I added "when I called and scheduled my first appointment, the man I spoke with was wonderful" then she said, "yeah, he called and left the message with your husband" so I responded "BUT you said you personally left both messages". She continued to be rude to me and speaking to me as if I didn't have the funds to pay them so how could I possible be interested in them. Midway, do yourself a favor and get a new "office manager"! Who by the way when asked for her name she said it was "office manager" and when asked to speak to her supervisor she continue to say that she was "the office manager". She is loosing you business.

I feel so bad because I can't remember my teachers name but she seriously goes above and beyond. They are very busy because they are probably the best school, I was disappointed at first because they were not answering my calls but I left a message and they told me I can easily just sign up for classes online lol. I got 100% on my test first time I definitely recommend!! Update: I set up a driving lesson behind the wheel a week in advance with James and told him I have a car to use and I'm 18+. I called and told him I have to change the address and he said that'd be fine. The lady showed up at the wrong address and was confused on what was happening. I told her I have a car to use but she thought we were going to be using hers or going to take the test. I was only expecting to pay 100 for 2 hours but she said 300. I felt bad because she has a broken leg and probably has medical bills but if James has too many customers to care to then the word needs to get out. If you are under 18 and looking to buy packages then go here.

This might be my first Yelp review, but I feel I need to warn others. The instructors are great,…read morethe administrative services are abysmal. I've left voicemails and sent emails with no response. I went to the office during "business hours" to maybe try to talk to someone in-person, but to no surprise the office was closed. It is nearly impossible to schedule time on their website, and if you need to make a change, good luck. If I hadn't already prepaid, there is no way I'd finish out the behind the wheel for my kid. I honestly do not know how this place is still in business with their terrible customer service. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE.
