This place is amazing. I took two weeks of classes and now know more about the road and driving than anyone I know. I feel so bad because I can't remember my teachers name but she seriously goes above and beyond. They are very busy because they are probably the best school, I was disappointed at first because they were not answering my calls but I left a message and they told me I can easily just sign up for classes online lol. I got 100% on my test first time I definitely recommend!! Update: I set up a driving lesson behind the wheel a week in advance with James and told him I have a car to use and I'm 18+. I called and told him I have to change the address and he said that'd be fine. The lady showed up at the wrong address and was confused on what was happening. I told her I have a car to use but she thought we were going to be using hers or going to take the test. I was only expecting to pay 100 for 2 hours but she said 300. I felt bad because she has a broken leg and probably has medical bills but if James has too many customers to care to then the word needs to get out. If you are under 18 and looking to buy packages then go here. read more

This business's website is unclear and clunky. They do not seem to know how to listen to voicemail to return your calls. When you go to their office during open hours, you may find a "Closed" sign. Instead of immediately helping you, they deflect by explaining how your adult driving student doesn't need the driving lessons, or say they aren't signed up for the right class (perhaps if the website could clarify "over 18" courses there would be no confusion). The online course is good. Trying to communicate about login issues has been the most frustrating part of using this company. It was recommended by neighbors. Communication should. Never be this difficult. read more

I am finding it impossible to schedule behind the wheel. Apparently you have to log in at 8 am on Mondays when they release appointments and I did that but nothing became available. At this point, we're probably going to have to go to another driving school to schedule so all that money is out the window. Frustrating experience to say the least. read more

Elite Driving School - Driving Schools Near Me - Richfield, Minnesota

DO NOT purchase a behind the wheel package. They do not have adequate driving instructors, the online scheduling does not work, they do not answer the phone. The scheduler "Connie" does not exist. I was told multiple times to text and "Connie" would get back to me. That never happened. Filing a report with the MN Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau. This place is a scam. read more

Do yourself a favor and hire anybody else beside Elite. It's a part time job just to schedule appointments, and they are not friendly when you ask for help. read more

Offer online classes, great. Try to get a blue card after paying for BTW, good luck. None responsive had to reschedule drivers test because it took to long. read more

Trying to schedule with this company is awful. They don't return calls or emails, even though they already have collected our money for "behind the wheel" lessons. If they didn't already have my money I would go elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this "driving school" to my worst enemy. read more

Besides very challenging scheduling right now because of covid, I had a Great time with my driver Ruth Ann. She was very polite and offered me a very good learning environment and experience. read more

Elite was great for my daughter. She actually didn't mind the Behind the Wheel with Mr. Setzler (sp?). She is still reminding me of all of the things she learned from him. I would recommend Elite to all my friends! Thank you! read more

i can not get my kid scheduled for a lesson behind the wheel. by 830am on a monday they are full and now we have to wait another week.

Had a fantastic experience with Elite. We wanted a school that conveyed to our kid the huge responsibility that comes with driving; especially in a world that distractions and driver aggression are increasingly common. We can confidently say our son walked away understanding this message. The owner and driving instructors were personable and responsive. The flexibility in scheduling was crucial to our busy life. Would definitely recommend to others read more

I just finished waiting 45 minutes for class to start because the instructor forgot the key to the classroom. I would never recommend this place to anyone read more

My daughter passed her drivers test the first time around. She got all she needed through Elite. Scheduling was easy and flexible.

Elite was great. They accommodated our crazy schedule. We got the classes done over the summer and did behind the wheel over the rest of the year. Super easy and the kids had fun in class. Both are driving on their own. Yay!! read more

I just signed my second daughter up for drivers Ed classes at Elite. My first born has her drivers license and took the classes starting last year. I love the convenience of their classroom schedule, and also the fact that I'm supporting a local family owned business in my community. I highly recommend this professional driving school for any parent searching for a good one. My kids can walk, carpool, or ride their bikes to the convenient location off Penn and 66th in Richfield. The Behind the wheel portion was very helpful, and they give group rates too! read more

I'm trying to reach them over phone for entire last week. Call goes to voice-mail and they never returned calls. I guess they are too busy for new business read more

I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you. My daughter passed her driving test the first time she took it (and with a tester and tester trainee in the car too boot!) The tester told her that she was the most "boring" driver she has ever had. And while my daughter was apologizing to her, the tester very quickly said, "No, that isn't an insult. It is a very, very good thing." The tester explained that she was very aware of her surroundings and cautious without being so overly cautious that she disrupts traffic. Because she is the first teen driver in the family, I am of course a bit nervous, but I am confident that she received such good instruction - both through the classroom and the BTW instruction with you - that I am much more at ease with the transition into the world of "adulting" as my teens like to say. read more

My daughter took her behind the wheel lessons with Elite. They gave good feedback after drives and helped her work on that which she needed to work on. We followed their advice and drove with our daughter between lessons so that she could get the required drive time in and improve her skills. She had no problem passing the driver's test; she was more than prepared by Elite and lots of practice. I would recommend Elite to all. Loved their super convenient service of pick up and drop off. read more

We had an excellent experience with Elite Driving School - noticeably better than an experience with a different school with our oldest. The facility was cleaner, the classes were more engaging (per our kids' description), and the driving instructors provided a review of each lesson on paper so we could see where attention was needed to improve driving skills. In addition, unlike the other school, they recommended spreading out the lessons (rather than all at once up front) so that they could help our daughter at various stages in her learning (and keep the final lesson close to her behind-the-wheel test). We HIGHLY recommend this driving school and will send our youngest there when it is her turn! read more

Horrible school. There were only 5 boys in the class, two from Germany, and James, the "instructor", read in monitone form the manual!! The watched movies, that were basically the same to the point that my student said they were more or less now desensitized from an accident. First one gave him a wake up call, that last one was "no big deal". THEN, James requires you to TEACH the student to drive for a minimum of 10-12 hours before he takes the student out, so basically you have to teach your student everything! He failed his written test the first time. The family worked with him for several days, he took the test and passed! After 10 to 12 hours of driving now what is James going to teach? Parking? Guess again. SO, when I personally tried to explain my concerns James became a child and said he would give me a refund. REALLY? Not what is wanted. When you pay to have a job done you expect it done. And that's what I told him. "Just do your job". Finally he did say OK he would finish his job but that he only wanted to talk to the student (a 17 year old) from then on. AND when I asked when he was picking the student up for driving he said 5 oclock, which is DARK now in Nov. REALLY, AGAIN? Your first time driving with this student and it's after dark!?!?! So I asked him, "After dark? You are going to take him driving for the first time after dark.?" And guess what the "mature" owner and instructor did??? No, he didn't explain. He hung up!!! They may be cheaper, but now we know why!! DO NOT USE THIS SCHOOL. I believe James has a full time job and does this on evenings and when he feels like it. NOT PROFESSIONAL IN ANY WAY!! read more

Wow. Not much good to say. Their website is terrible, their e-mail address isn't valid, the phones aren't answered nor are calls returned unless it involves receiving money. Classroom instructor thought he was done when there was still another week left of course work and he presented the lessons out of order. Behind the wheel was ok until this last one--cancelled and rescheduled for today. Meet at a specific location at 10:00. Substitute instructor showed up 30 minutes late; didn't know where she was supposed to go, didn't have directions, didn't answer her phone when we tried calling to see if she was lost. All in all, pretty bad service. My son said that as he left to begin his last behind the wheel, the gas light was flashing and they had to stop at the station to fill up in order to avoid running out of gas during his lesson. I have 3 other future drivers in my house and Elite Driving School will NOT be receiving anymore of my business. read more
