I took lessons with Paul 5 years ago. I was 30 years old. I had never driven and I was as scared as…read moreany new driver could be. Paul helped me from day 1 where we didn't even use the gas pedal, just coasting, to my driver's license exam. I did pass on my first try! He gave tips and tricks that would help for the exam as well as driving in real life. He was firm/assertive when needed but I also felt safe and comfortable as a terrified driver. He made me step outside of my comfort zone. He loaned me his sunglasses when I couldn't see. Because of Paul's help, I am able to work jobs that involve driving. I can now drive giant diesel trucks and haul trailers for work. Yesterday I drove 420 miles in one day. While I will never be a carefree driver, I attribute my driving success to Paul and First Pass Driving. I am eternally grateful for his help.

Also the fact that he refused to address any of the points I brought up, but instead decided to shift blame onto me in a somewhat generic manner. He gave typical responses for why someone wouldn't do well, but can't bring up specific examples. He didn't even pick pronouns when addressing me. It seriously makes me question if he even knows who he's talking to. Also how many students have had similar experiences. Is the problem truly them? Or is he just making up excuses to cover his rear?

He was very patient and helped me with reverse parking and parallel parking. I was unable to do this before, despite countless nights practicing with my family. On the day of my appointment (9:00) no one showed up, it was snowing so I though, maybe they are late. I waited until 9:30 when the office opened and said "I had an appointment and no one is here yet, just wanted to check in". The women on the phone had a very rude tone and said. "Well your payment didn't go through so we weren't going to send someone with our payment. We called you and your husband and left you both voice messages." I let her know that I didn't have any missed calls or voice messages and that my husband did have a missed call from them but no voice message. She said "well I know there were messages because I personally left them, so we weren't going to send anyone over. We gave you until yesterday to call us back, and because your payment didn't go through, we aren't going to schedule anything with you" I responded saying,"I can see why you would think I wasn't interested if you said you called and left messages and didn't hear from me, however, no messages were left so I had no idea you still needed payment or what you cancelled my appointment". [I was trying to be understanding, while still being confused about these so called message]. I continued and asked if we can move forward with scheduling something in the future. She said "Well you would need to pay the missed appointment and pay for a new appointment and because your card didn't go through, I REALLY doubt you would want to do that". I said, "I was willing to pay for both appointments but because your tone was rude and condescending and the customer service your providing me is uncalled for" I added "when I called and scheduled my first appointment, the man I spoke with was wonderful" then she said, "yeah, he called and left the message with your husband" so I responded "BUT you said you personally left both messages". She continued to be rude to me and speaking to me as if I didn't have the funds to pay them so how could I possible be interested in them. Midway, do yourself a favor and get a new "office manager"! Who by the way when asked for her name she said it was "office manager" and when asked to speak to her supervisor she continue to say that she was "the office manager". She is loosing you business.

A colleague recommended Teens Inc to me years ago and I am very glad that I remembered and took her advice. She was right when she said: "Not all driver's ed is the same." Three of my sons have learned from Mike Pehl now: two have their licenses, 1 has a permit and the youngest is too young. In the last few years I've learned a lot about the risks of teen driving. At a safety conference, I heard the owner of a driver's ed franchise say that their feedback often includes the word "boring" ... I doubt you'll find any Teens Inc students with that complaint. Mike Pehl is a compelling speaker, he is passionate about his role teaching teenagers to become safe drivers, he has an undeniably unique foundation of knowledge about this topic because of his years as an accident investigator, and his statistical track record with his students is extraordinary. As my friend told me: "Choose wisely" ... I believe there is more information out there about Mike Pehl if you do some research with his name specifically. I also believe absolutely that you will not regret choosing Teens Inc for driver's ed for your child.
