We're getting visibly stronger while also learning so much about proper form and how to avoid injury. I came in with some chronic back pain that flared up with any exercise I did, and now I'm back on my feet, feeling a lot better and slowly starting to be able to lift heavier again. Bayo definitely knows a lot about functional fitness which I love because in my mid-40's I not only want to be in great shape now, I want to keep moving well in to my 70's and 80's. He's also got a lovely, kind personality but just because he's super nice don't think he'll go soft on you, you will work hard! He also gives great tips on diet and recovery that really help round out your training. The gym itself is bright and sunny, and immaculately kept. Lot's of great equipment and variety so you won't get bored. If you're looking to get in great shape and enjoy doing it I highly recommend this place!

That's completely false. There are several restrooms and I've never had to wait. The overall aesthetic of this place is top tier. The equipment is high quality, well maintained, and there's plenty of space to train. The gym is split into two sides and now they even have MAD Pilates, which is a great addition. So far, I haven't had to wait for equipment once. Even when it's busy, I've still been able to get a full workout in without issues. That's a huge difference compared to the gym up the street (Chuze), where you'll often see groups of people camping on the same machine. On weekends I come right when the doors open and it's about as empty as it gets. Perfect way to start the day. One warning though: don't try the peanut butter and jelly shake... unless you want to get hooked. It's that good. The turkey wrap is also a solid option. The staff has been amazing and welcoming since day one. Overall experience so far: 10/10. Highly recommended

The heater being on full blast in the mornings makes it really uncomfortable to work out. The fans are not on, so there's no relief when the heat is running. I mean really how cold can it get in SoCal where the heater needs to be on full blast Also, it would really help if staff wore something identifiable, like a uniform shirt. There have been a few times I wanted to purchase a protein shake, but I couldn't tell who worked there or who to ask for help. Lastly, there have been times when there were no wipes available to clean the machines. Overall, still a great gym, just a few small improvements that would make a big difference! Sincerely Your overhead friend

This is a solid gym, I guess. It's pretty much the most affordable one in the neighborhood. Around…read morehere, we don't have many options. It's either this gym or LA Fitness (or risking your safety at the local park). This is considered a "trash gym" by many, but you gotta go where you gotta go. The location is solid; it is accessible by about 4 buses: 611, 111, 102, and Florence-Firestone Link (the pink bus that comes like once every hour). It is also across the street from Plaza Alameda. As for the gym itself, signing up is pretty easy; you can do it online and link your card or bank information. Canceling is the hard part; you have to do it in person. It's not like a Netflix subscription. It's best to use the app's QR code to check in. Working out at the gym itself, it has its peak periods and slow periods. Based on my personal experiences, compared to LA Fitness, this gym is, on average, less crowded (aside from peak periods). It's not as big as the location on Central and Washington, but it works. In the summer, you have groups of teen boys hogging up the weight machines, on their phones, doing nothing. I suggest bringing your own equipment, if you can. Or, at the very least, clean and sanitize the communal mats and return/rerack free weights, barbells, fitness and BOSU balls, mats, and kettlebells. The reason I say this is that some of the people who go to this gym lack gym etiquette. You've got assholes here, toxic gymbros, perverts leering at women working out, etc., but most people who go here work out and mind their own business. I go here because it's a beginner/casual-friendly gym. Everyone here is kind of doing their own thing, or isn't too big on fitness culture. It's not a lot of "sweats," if you get the meme.

I myself will be driving an extra 15 minutes to another PF. The teens there just stress me out lol (please don't take this the wrong way, it's just my HONEST opinion) They stand around & hog up a machine; that they don't really use. It's OVERwhelming with out crowded this gym is, people are standing over you as you try to do your workout. I honestly don't know where the manger is or why this happens here but the equipment is never where it should be, the gym it's self is unorganized and not clean at all, cans/bottles happen to be everywhere. For 3 days straight when I used the total body enhancement the napkins were on the floor I could go on about other incidents that have happened at this location but in my experience I'm not a fan of this location..
