Attendance was strangely sparse - sometimes there would be one or two other people in the class, but mostly it was just me. In hindsight, that should have been a huge red flag. In my first month, the instructor no-showed for one of my classes. I considered cancelling my subscription then and there, but she promptly apologized and credited my account, so I decided to give her another chance. In my second month, she no-showed THREE TIMES IN A ROW. I waited days for her to respond to messages. When she finally did, her messages were incoherent. She never credited my account. I cancelled my subscription and got my credit card company to refund my money. Clearly this is a pattern for her, and I can only assume she doesn't really want to be in the business of running a Pilates studio. But continuing to let people sign up and pay for expensive monthly subscriptions is SHADY if not fraudulent.

I always find space to stretch with no issue and have never had to wait for what I need. People put their weights back. There are spray bottles and cloths to wipe what you use after. The bathrooms are clean, and the red light sauna is a treat (honestly my deciding factor for adding the membership lol). I've yet to use the cold plunge or the showers. You get $10 off when you have more than 1 membership. I had a billing issue in the beginning and they were very responsive and helpful. All together I pay $164/mo for both. The lack of a parking lot is a mild inconvenience, but street parking is hardly an issue with all the residential streets with free parking around Park. Great gym!!

You get everything from her you'd expect from a trainer. Undivided attention, workouts tailored to your needs, etc. but the biggest plus is that she's a pleasure to be around, going back to my first point. 3. She's really flexible with scheduling and tries her best to accommodate you. She probably has one of the best and most flexible cancellation policies I've seen, which just shows she's trying to help you out. Most places you have to cancel before the 24 hour time frame or else they'll charge you for the session regardless, but Kerri let's you reschedule within the week if you need to cancel in the 24 hour time frame, which is immensely helpful. 4. Fair prices, I did some research before I picked Kerri and she had some of the better pricings for private sessions And lastly (but most importantly), it works! After 3 months, I noticed real changes in my body (e.g. the emergence of muscle) which was a great change from the skinniest fat person alive (at the time). It never felt like a chore to go to her sessions and they were always semi-fun (as fun as working out can be for someone who hates it with a passion) so the three months flew by and next thing I knew, I had arm muscles! I came for a drop in class from out of town. The studio is a beautiful space, however the teacher,…read morewho opened the studio, did not arrive until about 4 minutes before the class started. It is considerate, professional and standard operating procedure to have the studio and space open for 15 minutes before class. Students need time to use the bathroom, settle in, grab props, and take a few quiet minutes to themselves before beginning practice. Instead, there were 7 of us standing outside by the door waiting in the sun and it was a very odd dynamic when the teacher parked and arrived to let us all in because the teacher should ALWAYS arrive before the students if there is no open door/front desk. The teacher did not mention specifically which props to have for practice, so every time we did a movement with a new prop, about half of the students had to get up and grab them from the prop room which is very disruptive to practice. Lastly, the teacher guided students into trying Handstand without making space for alternatives like Dolphin or Headstand, and more importantly without any of the basic energetic cues for hands, elbows, and shoulders that are strictly necessary to provide students for this posture in order to protect your neck and shoulders.

I attended a noon class and the instructor/owner Nicole was great - she is clearly a very naturally gifted body worker, and she is also extremely knowledgeable and accomplished when she demonstrates her technique. She is very exact and can explain the various stretches and moves in articulate detail. I would have been intimidated by this, but she is also a very warm and encouraging (read: forgiving) instructor, perfect for a novice such as myself. The more advanced students also seemed to get a lot out of her nuanced adjustments and corrections: She was also able to move fluidly between students with a very wide range of experience and capability. I also noticed that the studio interior was well designed for pilates and bodywork. The space was not overly "woo woo" like some yoga studios you see these days, but also not cold like a gym; it was the perfect combination that communicated "this is a kind and nurturing place, and we also intend to do serious work on your body." I plan to return when my schedule allows and would highly recommend this place for anyone interested in starting pilates or continuing a practice you already have in motion.

She has brought me up to speed at a pace that's realistic but always challenging and engaging. It's exciting to have recovered almost 100% range of motion in my shoulder, which is now virtually pain-free, and to regain muscle tone everywhere. Lucie is patient, easy-going, and has a knowledge base of, apparently, hundreds of different exercises, poses and motions to work every muscle group.
