Club Pilates in Alameda has been the perfect way for me to get back into exercising consistently…read more There's nothing like a steep membership fee to really motivate you to go to class haha. I did the intro class with Dominique right after Thanksgiving and after a quick chat with Kat, the assistant manager, I was convinced to sign up for the unlimited membership (single studio). The sale offer is $202/month for the first month, then the regular price of $289/month for a 3-month commitment. I guess I'm committed for 3 months! Instructors here really focus on breathing and modifications/accommodations. It's been great trying classes with all of the instructors, then finding your faves. My personal faves are Dominique, Sara, Justine, and Laura! I love that they use a variety of equipment to really maximum the range of motion for our bodies. Very clean studio, plenty of parking in the plaza area. Would recommend!

It was a great balance of multiple options that a typical pilates class might include. The class was packed to the brim with 12 students, but it didn't feel crowded. It was very clean. There wasn't a ton of space for people to wait for the previous class to finish, but it wasn't a big deal. There are lockers (just crates; no locks) to stow your items. There is a water fill station. We brought our own grippy socks, but there are socks available for purchase. There is plenty of parking. There was a waiver we filled out and brief information was shared at the end if we were interested in signing up that day. Obviously, prices change/ fluctuate and pilates classes are generally quite pricy, and that's true here too. Leading up to the class, it was easy enough to sign up. I wanted to take the class with my sister, but it was full. However, it somehow worked out that we were in the same class. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!

This was such a disappointing experience. I signed up for the five class per month subscription,…read morebut immediately found it challenging to schedule classes because there's only one instructor and very few classes per week. Attendance was strangely sparse - sometimes there would be one or two other people in the class, but mostly it was just me. In hindsight, that should have been a huge red flag. In my first month, the instructor no-showed for one of my classes. I considered cancelling my subscription then and there, but she promptly apologized and credited my account, so I decided to give her another chance. In my second month, she no-showed THREE TIMES IN A ROW. I waited days for her to respond to messages. When she finally did, her messages were incoherent. She never credited my account. I cancelled my subscription and got my credit card company to refund my money. Clearly this is a pattern for her, and I can only assume she doesn't really want to be in the business of running a Pilates studio. But continuing to let people sign up and pay for expensive monthly subscriptions is SHADY if not fraudulent.

From day one, they've been professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my progress. Every workout is well-structured, challenging, and tailored to my goals and fitness level. They push me just the right amount while always making sure my form is correct and that I'm training safely. The plants, the natural light, and the thoughtful studio design create an atmosphere that feels both peaceful and inspiring. My absolute favorite class is Intentional Flow on Thursdays with Aviva. It is the perfect balance of movement, breath, and presence. I always leave feeling stronger, clearer, and completely reset. I honestly wish they offered this class more than once a week because it is that good. The overall experience, from the warm welcome to the flow of the class itself, feels intentional and uplifting. It is a space that truly supports both body and mind. Highly recommend if you are looking for a studio with beautiful energy and meaningful classes

I think I found a great New Yoga Studio!!!…read more So because of my awesome yelpers, I went on Yelp to find a great Yoga studio.... Thanks to you guys I found the perfect studio. Doctor cleared me to start back Yoga, so I dived right in!!! I started off with Sunday Flow with instructor Nadia, let me first start off with saying she is BEAUTIFUL!!! She was very vibrant, I felt her energy in just seconds of being in the room. I love her personality- she says little jokes while instructing us to shift from one position to the other, although some of us like myself still trying to keep that balance, and she says something funny and I'm laughing and my balancing is gone .. ahaha but no she seems so real. You can tell she has been a student as well, she doesn't give off just teacher, teacher vibes.. like I'm better than you guys because your students and I'm the teacher. She literally told us, " it's okay if your body is shaking, mines is too.. let it let go of whatever it needs.".. I looked over and her body was shaking, it made me feel like it's really okay my body is not comfortable with this position.... Everyone is my class was extremely nice, very dedicated to Yoga it seemed and I had a great experience!!! The inside of the studio is VERY CLEAN!!! One thing I look for, and it was so cutesy, I loved it!!!!! Beautiful sunlight, and get this, it was not stuffy at all. For me, I find a lot of yoga studio stuffy, but this studio is not!!! I love it here, I think this may be home!!!! Parking is street parking, it's a residential neighborhood- it's a little sticky, so get there a little early... Thank you Nadi for a GREAT CLASS TODAY!!!!

I attended a noon class and the instructor/owner Nicole was great - she is clearly a very naturally gifted body worker, and she is also extremely knowledgeable and accomplished when she demonstrates her technique. She is very exact and can explain the various stretches and moves in articulate detail. I would have been intimidated by this, but she is also a very warm and encouraging (read: forgiving) instructor, perfect for a novice such as myself. The more advanced students also seemed to get a lot out of her nuanced adjustments and corrections: She was also able to move fluidly between students with a very wide range of experience and capability. I also noticed that the studio interior was well designed for pilates and bodywork. The space was not overly "woo woo" like some yoga studios you see these days, but also not cold like a gym; it was the perfect combination that communicated "this is a kind and nurturing place, and we also intend to do serious work on your body." I plan to return when my schedule allows and would highly recommend this place for anyone interested in starting pilates or continuing a practice you already have in motion.

Both times I went there were interruptions because a few other people needed special attention during class session which are costly minutes. I realize that's the down side of taking a class vs private. But a private session well over 100 isn't within my budget. It's too bad Pilates is so expensive because I'd like to try more classes. I took the classes with the owner and she was extremely knowledgeable, but rather than having long winded explanations of the history of Pilates, more attention to the workout would be best.
