I am deeply disappointed with the care provided at this facility. The lack of empathy, clear…read moreunderstaffing, and complete disregard for the well-being of pets are shocking and heartbreaking. Our two puppies, Cava and Sofi, suffered terribly during their stay, leaving us devastated and questioning how this facility is allowed to operate. We entrusted this facility with our perfectly healthy, happy puppies, and they were returned to us in horrifying condition. We were instructed to bring our pets in harnesses and collars for easier handling but were never informed that these would remain on them for the entire week. When we picked up Cava, I was horrified to find her harness had dug into her fur, creating painful open wounds in multiple places on her body. I had to peel it off her, and it was clear she had endured immense suffering. Both Cava and Sofi were shaken, traumatized, and clearly unwell when we brought them home. Cava has been vomiting her meals and experiencing persistent diarrhea, while Sofi, who was also perfectly healthy before her stay, is now suffering from vomiting, diarrhea, and a persistent cough. Their physical suffering and visible distress make it abundantly clear they were not given even basic care during their time at this facility. To add to this nightmare, I provided clear feeding instructions and more than enough food for their stay, yet the facility somehow "ran out" of the food I brought. They then had the audacity to try to charge us extra to feed our puppies from their own supply. This blatant mishandling of such a simple responsibility is just another example of their incompetence and disregard for the animals in their care. Adding insult to injury, we now face costly veterinary bills to address the harm done to our puppies. When we approached the facility about a refund, they only agreed to provide a partial refund, which is unacceptable given the mistreatment our puppies endured and the complete breach of trust between us and the facility. This gesture falls far short of what is necessary to make this situation right, both financially and morally. This review is intended as a word of caution for anyone considering this facility in the future. The lack of communication, proper staffing, and basic empathy for the animals in their care is inexcusable. Shame on this facility for neglecting the very pets they are entrusted to care for. I urge management to take immediate action to address these issues--no pet or pet owner should ever have to go through this kind of heartbreak.

That demonstrates a lot of care not only for the business but relationships. She listened, understood the situation and worked to resolve the situation. Kudos for accountability and a lovely professional demeanor. I like the trainer Loyda who was very successful with gaining rapid improvements with my dog Kalie and highly recommend her. The trainers should be autonomous to decide the next steps of progression and micro managing reduces client confidence. All In all, Ruffgers does give a better effort than any other place I've been in the Lee and Collier areas for dog day care and that's not an easy achievement.

There aren't enough words for how AMAZING this facility is and has been for us!!! We welcomed a new…read morebaby in December. To prepare for this we brought our 3 dogs to be trained in November. When we got them back they went from completely untrained to trained in every way! Door manners, in the car, on the leash, and other basic commands, you name it! They were crazy about food and now they will sit in front of food and wait to eat it when they are told. It's amazing! We then brought them back for a tune up when our son was born. It was awesome knowing they were with people who knew them and loved them. Our dog Charlie ran and jumped in the lake immediately! Happy as can be. A huge shoutout to Derrick! When our son was born 4 weeks early he went out of his way to pick our dogs up when we were stuck at the hospital. He truly loves the dogs and cares about the families. You can tell this is his passion and it shows through his work! Lastly, Anthony has been fantastic to work with throughout too! Due to him and Derrick we will continue bringing our dogs back here when we need boarding knowing they are in the BEST hands. If you're looking for a great training facility with the best people, look no further. You found them!
