The classes are fun and the instructors are welcoming. All instructors are great but Danielle's classes are my absolute favorite

I've been suffering from carpal tunnel for the past three years. My physical therapist said that I needed more upper body strength workouts and barre classes at Tuck is a WHOLE-body workout! Seriously, I feel like I get my money worth. It took five classes to see changes in my body. I don't suffer from back pains or carpal tunnel as much anymore. Don't get me wrong. It's hard work to get in shape but I enjoy going here because I love how passionate everyone is at teaching their classes. They genuinely want you to get the most out of your workout and they do a fantastic job in creating a variety so you're not bored doing the same routine over and over again. If you're nervous or on the fence at giving this place a try. DON'T! This place welcomes everyone of all levels. (trust me I came worst than a beginner and Sandy had to correct me all the time! Luckily, it's not as much as it used to be, lol) Honestly this cute studio is the gem of Haverford~ I'm a lot happier both physically and emotionally because of Tuck~ btw if you're looking for a challenge, def give barre bounce a try~ it's super fun and I might see you there

We started with understanding my baseline during my initial free appointment. She was very helpful and really seemed to want to know what I was trying to get out of working out and getting into shape. After this initial assessment future workouts focused on strengthening my core and ensuring I can develop balance and completing each method correctly working my way from lighter resistance and weight to more resistive and heavier each time we revisited the exercise in following sessions. Though I was challenged and pushing my body, Bonnie was there right with me to ensure I was doing the technique correctly. Each session is different and unique. I am feeling great now compared to how I felt before seeing Bonnie. If you are looking for a personal trainer that understands the appropriate exercise for your current state then Bonne and The Pilates Garden & Personal Training Studio is for you. You know this is a great person as your first assessment is free but you feel that you are being assessed properly for your abilities. This assessment really made me feel like Bonnie cared and she helped me to help understand my needs and my © urrent state of fitness. The Pilates Garden & Personal Training Studio has been and continues to be a great personal studio and provides a great alternative to the big gym studios that may not have that personal touch.

There are other places in the area where you'll get much better service, won't rip you off, and you'll find someone who is more interested than just what you're paying. I was drawn in by the website. It says you'll get personal attention from the owner, Bonnie, who has years of experience. When I called in, she was short on the phone, but I set up time anyway. A single session is $85, and she tried to talk me into doing the $800 ten pack. Thank God I didn't! On the day of my appointment she was running late so I had to wait for almost 20 minutes before she could see me. She asked me some about my background and what I wanted to focus on, and then launched right into it. When I told her I was uncomfortable with some of what she was having me doing, I caught her rolling her eyes at me. Although she had been 20 minutes late, she stopped our appointment right on time. When I mentioned this to her, she told me she had another client waiting for her. It's clear that the only thing she's interested in is making money. Go somewhere else. Save your time, and your money.

Some of our classes are just a few people and the personalized instruction is something you can't get at most gyms without paying for personal training (now that's expensive). We were crossfit newbies and Jim went over the basis with us so we would be ready for class. It's frustrating to see staff who appear untrained or unsure how to use the equipment, especially when gym-goers ask for help. While promoting body positivity is important, having knowledgeable and physically capable staff is key, especially for first-timers who need guidance and motivation. Im disappointed in the staff choices because none of them use the gym. I see the trend of hiring staff who help other out of shape people feel more comfortable. I get it now. Another downside is the overuse of tripods throughout the gym. It becomes a hassle trying to navigate the space without interrupting someone's filming session. Despite those drawbacks, the gym has potential and a strong foundation. With better staff training and more focus on member experience over content creation, it could be a top-tier facility. -1 star for staff selection Good pricing Clean, friendly staff and members. I have been with PIT since 2013 and nothing compares to this work out. It doesn't come easy and each class will make you find your mental toughness. There are typically 13-17 stations which include tire flips (who the hell doesn't feel bad-ass flipping tires?), kettle bell swings, pull ups, mountain climbers etc. You are at each of those stations for one minute the first round-after each minute they call everyone into the middle (aka the PIT) and you either do push-ups, burpees (yes they suck but so what) or some other awesome shit and then you move to the next station. After you have completed all stations there is a 2-3 minute rest and you do it all over again but each station is 30 seconds and then again they call some awesome shit for us to all do. Then you get to come back and do it again the next day! I promise you if you give it a try you won't be disappointed. The trainers will push you to get your reps in and want to see you succeed. They do not yell or curse (we do that to them) at their clients, and they treat us with respect and create a sense of TEAM in the gym. No matter if your goals are personal- PIT will help you lift heavier, run farther, go harder, set tough goals and then crush them! Progress will come just SHOW UP and DON'T GIVE UP! See you at PIT!!

I had been recovering from a herniated disc that also led to the discovery of mild scoliosis, which is not abnormal for older women, in particular. I took all of these issues to LSF and was rewarded with excellent knowledge and experience helping others like myself work back to a strong, flexible body. While I don't always love it, every instructor has been on me for positioning and form, which is key to not getting reinjured. As a pilates newbie, it's been helpful and I do not exaggerate when I say that I have been mostly pain-free since starting. My only struggle is with signing up for classes. Because they fill up very quickly, it is hard to budget because you need to sign up for a lot of classes in advance, which means you have to pay for a lot of classes at once. (They're certainly worth it and priced fairly.) I have had success with the waiting list, however, and there was only one time I did not get into the class. The silver lining of all this is that clearly people think highly of the classes/instructors and want to get in! I also appreciate that the owner/staff "hear" clients and try to make class policy changes that are sensible and not just penal. It's not easy running a small fitness business, so just them being there as a resource is terrific. They play great music, everyone is super friendly and down-to-earth, and the studio is cute. Thrilled to be an LSF'r and look forward to a pain-free spring and summer unlike last year! Thanks, LSF!
