Excellent facility, endless options and flexibility, great work space with all the amenities you need for workouts and work convenience.

My visit to Life Time Ardmore was unfortunately disappointing. The facility did not feel as polished or well maintained as the website suggests, and the overall experience did not align with the premium impression the brand promotes. The staff at the front desk were impersonal and not particularly welcoming or informative when I arrived. Similarly, the employees at the Life Time Café seemed disengaged and unwelcoming. A fitness club that positions itself as a high-end experience should place strong emphasis on hospitality and member engagement, but that was not reflected during my visit. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location. read more

I joined at the Radnor location, which is bigger than Ardmore's with more amenities. However, Ardmore recently underwent a significant glow-up, and since it's closer to my home, I started going there more often. The locker room is always clean, as is the fitness area overall. The changes make it more intuitive to navigate, and I think they added newer machines. Of course I wish they had indoor pools but they are limited by the existing space, which used to be a Macy's. In short, I have the Ardmore location near my home and the Radnor one near my work, so it's worked out really well for me. read more

Truly ridiculous. And if this is how they run their gym, you never have to worry about seeing me again... only my lawyer. Background: I was a member for years when they first opened. I started my membership at the King of Prussia location. Years later my membership allowed me to also use the Ardmore location. I stopped my membership this past December when my elderly mother was diagnosed with cancer. My schedule and the new price increase just didn't make sense. Today, I was hanging outside at the Ardmore location on the green turf. I went inside Lifetime to get my favorite dish (chicken quesadilla) to enjoy outside. That was at 3:00pm when I ordered. My mother who can barely take more than several steps at a time and now has a trach collar in her neck was assisted by my 10 year old daughter to use the bathroom since my mother can't walk on her own very well. They have a unisex bathroom on the main floor in the back. The two men working at the front desk proceeds to tell my daughter and mother that they don't have a bathroom and to go across the street. My daughter who has also had a membership prior to this visit knew otherwise and proceeded to tell them her grandmom can't talk and is handicap and need to use the bathroom as she pointed towards the restroom on the main floor. When I went in to talk to the men... one responded "I didn't want to get fired". In which I said, "you shouldn't get fired for letting a handicap elderly with a trach in her neck use the restroom". This whole situation is disheartening. And if this how you treat elderly or handicap, then it's DISGUSTING! I will never eat here again! And I will tell anyone willing to listen why this is a disgusting establishment! read more

Men in the locker room repeatedly use the whirlpool/steam room and Sauna in their underwear or the sauna nude and do not wear swimming trunks. This creates very unsanitary conditions. There should be locker room attendants enforcing the proper swim attire requirement. read more

It's an excellent gym, and I made a lot of progress on my fitness exercising there. Maybe staying open another hour on the weekends would be helpful. Went there with my son as a guest last week. For an expensive monthly membership I would expect the front desk to be more Willing to show me around and explain the gym and what accommodations are available. It was horrible customer service and the front desk was not busy! No excuse for this ignorance. If someone states they have never been to the gym and would like a tour, give them a tour, don't tell them you can walk yourself around. What? No pamphlets, no brochures ? No explanation of the gym. No explanation of anything. The man took our monthly payment.....swiped the card and hardly said a word to us. We Plan to cancel our membership today and move on. read more

Terrific place - been here for years. Staff is great and super helpful. Pool in the summer is fantastic as well - not many people there at all during the day, which is terrific for my daughter and I. You get what you pay for here - which is a major positive. read more

So I really want to give this 3.5 stars. Actually, I WANT to give it 5 but....as someone who works full time, I'm very disappointed in the group class structure. There are big gaps in what is available and when. I know multiple people who said they've brought this to the attention of management and offered suggestions, as have I. The response to my comments was luke warm and had no follow through (I was told my email was forwarded to the group class manager but never heard). I appreciate that I can do my own thing, but I joined for the classes. I find myself having to browse the app and make my schedule fit classes, which - for the cost - shouldn't be the case. I had much higher hopes for it in that department. KoP has way more options (and yes I know it's bigger) that fit the schedule of a typical working adult. However, aside from the beautiful facility, I've had nothing but positive interactions with staff (other from my lack of real response re: group classes), I LOVE team burn (with Josh), the spa is excellent, the cafe is pretty decent, and I can easily spend a whole day there and be a productive adult. Bonus is my kid LOVES it and the staff in the kid zone are really fantastic. The problem is the cost when compared to how much more KoP offers. I really hope someone works to adjust the group classes so they fit better for the many people like me. (Example: There are big gaps when there are kids classes but no adult ones. I drop my kid off, and there are no options for me. No weekend classes later in the day. Stuff like that) So 3.5 with the deduction for the group schedule vs cost. And almost everyone I know complains about the same Update almost a year in: I still feel this way about the class schedule. I don't know if they're unable to hire enough instructors or what. They removed the ONE step class (that was like 11am mid week, wtf?). Unless you like spin and yoga, the schedule for group classes is frustrating for the average 9-5er. Even when I can go during the day, the schedule makes no sense. I find myself still going to SoulCycle often and just doing my own thing at LT, which you can do at planet fitness for $10. Additionally, I was very sick for a few months and was told to get a doctors note and they'd reimbursed me. Awesome! So I did, but because I had checked in (dropped kid off, went to the spa, worked from the cafe), I wasn't eligible even though I had docs orders to take it easy. I understand but just say that first. So I paused my membership while I recovered (and got up Soul, lets be honest) and that was $10. Plus $25 fee. Plus $10 to restart. Always feels like LT nickel and dimes members. Don't like the class schedule? Pay a trainer $100/hr. It's overall frustrating but there aren't many places to go that have good childcare and are clean. Because the kids place is great and very well run. The employees there are excellent. read more

went there with a friend today and they had to upgrade her memvership from the fort washington location. when i asked why the guy at front desk stated there were extra amenities here and that was the reason why. I asked if they had a basketball court and a pool, he said no, and i asked what the extra amenities were, he stated a nutrionist and dietician, which were available at the other location though. Not only did it have less amenities but it was also smaller in all regards. total scam read more

This is my gym. The people here are genuinely kind and helpful. The kids Academy is one of the best I've experienced and I truly feel like they love to see my kids. The classes and studios are excellent and well appointed. The instructors are knowledgeable, challenging and supportive. Glad I joined. read more

The new Life Time Fitness in the old Macy's building in Ardmore officially opened for business April 27, 2018 and all I can say is... wow. It's beautiful. And buzzing with energy. It feels more like a social club than a health club. There are lots of seating areas to relax before or after a class, or just to socialize and catch up on email or chat with a coworker or friend. I took an intro to Pilates class and half of the "warrior sculpt" yoga class this morning and am now trying out a sandwich in their LifeCafe. It's actually very tasty. There is staff everywhere and they are all very friendly. Huge digital screens throughout the facility tell you what classes are coming up. There is a jacuzzi in the basement along with a sauna and steam room (no full-length pool), and the women's changing room is huge and lovely with lockers that come with built-in combination locks so you don't have to bring your own. The fourth floor is the LifeWork space where you can pay to be part of a co-working community or rent space for meetings, etc. LifeWork is a separate membership from the gym but it includes gym membership. There are three LifeWork membership levels. This Ardmore location is the 133rd Life Time gym to open in the country and is the second-most expensive LTF gym (only the gym in NYC is more expensive). As a Diamond Premier level club, its members are allowed to use every other LTF gym in the country for free (including Ft Washington and KOP locations, but not NYC). Despite its hefty monthly membership fee, there are still additional fees for Pilates reformer (Pilates mat classes are included), childcare, and a few other exclusive workout regimens that I can't remember. I really do think that Pilates should be included given the price point of this club. I think there is free valet parking in the garage during the morning hours, but it's easy to just park yourself and walk across. I'm wondering how the service, energy, and cleanliness will change after it's been open for awhile and how the manager responds to suggestions, but if LTF Ardmore retains this level quality and energy then it will be an incredible addition to the Mainline. read more

Don't know how anyone could give this place a bad review. It's always super clean, staff is so nice and professional and the classes are awesome. Yes it's expensive to join this gym, but personally I feel you get what you pay for. My favorite thing to do is taking Kevin Michael's spin class and then enjoy their whirlpool, sauna and then take a nice shower. They provide high end shampoo, conditioner, towels, shaving gel, razors.. I could go on and on. In my eyes it's worth every penny. read more

Review in one word: Underwhelmed. For the super-premium monthly rates you get decidedly less than a super-premium selection of free weights and resistance machines, and a very, very sub-par selection of cardio equipment. The few classes that I tried were OK, meaning average at best. You'll get a better spin/cardio experience at Soul Cycle a block away. My neighbor says the yoga classes are ok but nothing special. Credit is due to the overall training of the staff, from those manning the welcome desks, the sales offices, to the trainers and managers roaming the facility and the gym/fitness center floor. Note that the male managers are always dressed in a suit and tie, or a slim fitting dress (women). If you ask someone, anyone, 'do you have such and such a free weight/weight machine...?' the standard response is 'have you talked to one of our personal trainers, ... to figure out how to ... accomplish what you want?' After following through with the 'talk to a trainer' response once or twice, no, I don't want to talk to a trainer, which is always a means to lead in to signing up for the personal training services. I just want to go in and exercise without having to pay someone to watch over me and give me a 'personalized' workout program. And to suggest I use Lifetime's vitamin supplements or energy gels. I half suspect Lifetime purposely has a funky selection of fitness equipment in order to steer you to use a personal trainer and the resulting additional fees associated with same. I've heard others say this and I tend to believe it. On a positive note, it's a new and a nice physical facility (you walk in and think I used to go down these stairs to buy socks, underwear and dress shirts when Macy's had a sale). Yes the locker room and shower facilities are nice and new. And there is the factor of being the newest, loudest, and most promoted fitness center in the immediate area - "Yea, I joined Lifetime, ..." this is known locally as cocktail party/happy hour bragging rights when trying to impress others. I tried other Lifetime facilities in NJ and NY, and they're no different. In fact for a lesser monthly rate you could get a bigger facility and with more offerings, an outdoor pool, squash courts, etc. read more

I am so disappointed and frustrated by my experience at Life Time Athletic, Ardmore. I joined in january 2019. And decided within a couple weeks i did not enjoy my experience. Mainly due to the format of the yoga classes; which was my primary reason for joining. But besides that and some other issues the reason for my review is not to 'slam' the gym itself. It's the management. When i emailed them to let them know i was cancelling my (month to month) membership i was told i needed to do it in person at the facility or write a letter sending it certified mail. Neither of which i did due to illness and a super busy work schedule. I was then billed for february and march .... i never used the gym during that time as i had 'cancelled' the membership. Okay, so sue me... i didnt follow their exact instructions. I've spoken to corporate and they refuse to waive the 2 months of fees... Unless i put the membership on hold and pay $25/ month. Whaaaat? Im done there so please just let me out of my membership and get rid of the $400 i'm told i still owe. They're so nice and lovely when you join and completely nasty if you leave. At this point even if i changed my mind i will NEVER go back there. I've lived in CT and NYC and belinged to Equinox, a high end gym. Neber had a problem or complaint the entire several years as a member. They were totally accomodating. And now im having to deal with just the opposite. Horrible customer service experience. And they just dont care no matter how ive explained my situation to them. Sheesh! read more

I wouldn't even call it a gym, it's amazing and luxurious. Our family loves the variety of class offerings, I take yoga while my son and husband enjoy strength training. The real showstopper is the locker rooms, take an hour to enjoy the hot tub and spa! read more

I was very excited about going to check this gym out. I'm a student in the area and work out very frequently. From the pictures online it was very top of the line and I was hoping to reach my next level of fitness here, being only 10 minutes from my school. My family is joining Lifetime in another area of the country so that is why I was coming to see the gym. I am sure everything is run super nicely. But the reason why I am rating it one star is because of the interaction that took place when I walked in. At the front desk you are supposed to meet a representation of what the company stands for. I explained my situation and how my family was joining, and I was told that this was an upper level Lifetime gym. I was unaware that this was such a thing, and I completely understood! No harsh feelings, but the way the lady at the front desk spoke to me was very degrading. She told me the gym my family was joining was lower tier and the ones with that level would be in NY or Massachusetts. Ok again I understand, my family wasn't joining top tier and this was the best of the best, even though membership prices were the same. But then she didn't let me try out the day free pass (I believe it was because she knew I wasn't going to be going to that gym). So all in all. Not a bad review on the actual gym itself, but if that was a representation of how they treat potential clients, or even people in general, that is not an environment I would like to be a part of. read more

Beautiful facility. Pleasant staff. What the club offers does not however justify the dues. Monthly dues are way too high. Biggest complaint is the classes- the lack of variety and the schedule. All early Morning classes are at 6:00 am. Have asked repeatedly (along with other members) to add classes at 7 or 8 am but none have been added. Have requested more strength and TRX classes but none have been added. They usually suggest personal training or small "team" classes which there is a fee for. I do not want to spend additional money at lifetime. Hope club will respond to needs of members. read more

The classes are not scheduled at a time when a M - F 9 - 5 professional can utilize them. Complaints about that are not addressed at all. For the 2nd time since I joined less than 6 months ago, all the Saturday classes, which are very few and end too early, were canceled for some event. I will be canceling my membership. It isn't a good value for the money. read more
