Nathaniel and his business, Trailing Tails, have been incredible for me and my pup, Dallas. I work full-time, and my pup needed to get out during the day. We tried a daily half hour walk, but it just wasn't enough. Being a border collie, he really thrives on being able to run free. I joined Nathaniel and his group for a walk before we signed up to see how my pup interacted with the pack and also get to know Nathaniel. He has a great understanding of dog body language and training and does a great job of keeping his pack under control. He has them trained to recall, gather up and sit, and he doesn't accept just any dog into the pack. My pup was on a two week trial before he got officially accepted as a longterm pack member. I don't trust just anyone with my pup, and Nathaniel has absolutely gained my trust. Nathaniel is very professional and a great communicator. My pup is going through adolescence and having some behavioral changes - in addition to being super understanding, Nathaniel has also been a great resource. Lastly, this is totally a side perk, but Nathaniel runs an Instagram (@trailingtails) and updates the story every day with pics and videos of the dogs. It makes me so happy every afternoon to check in and see what my pup was up to on his walk. The photos are very high quality, and Nathaniel could probably run a side gig as a dog photographer. I'll include some below

Nathaniel has been the greatest with our dog Nellie! She is the happiest every time she sees him picking her up for her walk. We can see how great he is with dogs, we love his way of taking them off leash while training them. He will also be always very professional, convenient and sweet. Your doggies are surely safe with him!! And everyday you can watch photos/stories of their fun walks. He is making the best group photos ever!! I can't recommend him more!! Thank you Nathaniel for taking such a good care of our dog Nellie!!!!

    My boy so happy!

From the very beginning, the process was incredibly smooth. Reaching out through their website and coordinating the booking for a non-hosted event was so easy, and the communication was clear, responsive, and genuinely helpful. The space itself was absolutely perfect and exactly what I was looking for to celebrate with close friends and family. Everything came together seamlessly, which made the day even more special and stress-free. I catered food and brought my own decor and it was an easy set up and takedown. I'm so grateful to the team at Top Dog SF for helping make this meaningful celebration possible. I would 100% book here again. Thank you so much!

As brand-new dog parents, we had no idea where to start, and Mike not only trained Donut every day, but also coached us on how to reinforce training at-home. The daily training videos they sent were incredibly helpful and made it easy to repeat everything on our own. Donut is now more confident, relaxed, and well-mannered - we're honestly so impressed and so proud of how far he's come. And the best part? He LOVES going to school. He happily trots through the door every day, which tells us everything we need to know about how well he's cared for. The whole staff has been nothing short of amazing: so patient, kind, and truly invested in every dog. Donut was especially loved by Mike, Michelle, and Raina, and we're so grateful for each of them. Natalie, the owner, is also an absolute pleasure to work with and runs a fantastic program. Yes, this program is an investment, but it is worth every penny! We could not recommend Top Dog SF more. If you're on the fence, do it. Your dog (and you!) will be better for it.

We wanted to find a consistent walker that could also do some training to reinforce good doggy behaviors. I booked a consultation with Jose and was impressed by his extensive experience/training in dog behavior/handling. Jose has been walking my dog on a weekly basis for about a month now. By the time I get home from work, I can trust that Sammie had a fantastic day of long runs and fun socializing with other dogs. Recently, our dog sitter wasn't able to take my dog in last minute, but Jose saved the day! Luckily he was available to watch her for a few days. Boarding can be traumatic sometimes esp. when it's a strange new place, but Sammie was completely at ease with Jose. He sent pictures daily and dropped off a very happy dog :) Jose is also very responsive and provides multiple payment options. I found it incredibly easy to get started with him! If you're located in the San Mateo County area (Daly City, SF, San Mateo, Burlingame, Redwood City), give ActivDogs a call! You won't regret it!

Please see below for the message I had to send: I think it goes without saying that effective immediately, Daisy will not continue to be under your "care" in any way. After speaking with multiple friends with dogs, other dog walkers and her veterinarian, there is not a single person who thinks what transpired today was remotely okay. You not only told me you'd drop her off in the morning and didn't communicate a change of plans, but I had to go looking for her. Using her GPS collar, I found her sitting in the back of your van, in full sun, on a 70+ degree day with the front windows cracked one inch. She was with at least one other dog that I saw. She sat in these conditions for 1.5 HOURS. Not for an emergency or a car repair or an accident, but because of soccer?! Those priorities do not work for me. According to our veterinarian, it takes a 75 degree day to kill a dog in this way. She came home, and for the second time this week after your "care" she drank half her entire water bowl in one go. The first time she did this a few days ago, I thought it was a fluke but now I'm starting to put it together. Even more bewilderingly, this was an ELEVEN minute drive from my house and I was home the entire time wondering where my dog was. After looking at her GPS more thoroughly, I realized that she spent the night near Santa Cruz, at an unknown location for 17 hours. I did not giving my permission to take Daisy out of San Francisco, especially with her injury. It doesn't matter if it was *only* a 70 degree day, it doesn't matter that she was okay, NOTHING you could reply to this trying to justify your actions is valid. I know Daisy, and I know these conditions would make her, or any animal, very stressed. After 6 years, I feel angry, upset, betrayed and sad that our working relationship has to end like this but you've lost my trust to take care of her. Drop my keys off tomorrow- you can leave them under the mat and pick up your leash/ it will be hanging on the door.

They are very accommodating to last-minute time changes since my work schedule - reasonably priced - they occasionally send photos to you throughout the work day and send you a lot more early on to reassure you which is nice - the outside time is closely monitored but off leash and in a park which Olive loves - They're careful to towel her off if she gets crazy dirty. (We have white couches..) - employees genuinely seem like they're super compassionate and love dogs. Olive gets overwhelmingly excited whenever she hears me open the gate for them. - they text! Makes updates super easy I sincerely love Miller's Menagerie and will continue to use them for as long as we live in SF! Photos below are ones they've sent to me of Olive on walks!
