Suncadia Penthouse - Birthday weekend! First one I'm not flying out of country! In 2 decades!

Love staying here. Always a great time. The best restaurants. We stay every December. This year was…read moreso nice. Everything went as planned with all of our reservations. Side note; if you want something from the gift shop, just buy it at that time. Wanted a sweatshirt for a few days. The day I went to buy it, it was gone :( We love this place year round.

Beware of which room you book!…read more Suncadia was our pandemic favorite since we for once wanted to drive somewhere close: not fly! And take our fur baby too. We used to do a lot more Oregon coast or Whistler but with border closing and Oregon shutting down! Can't do much. Love: we love suncadia. Our recent trip this month was for my birthday. So I decided to splurge and get a penthouse. We didn't need that much room but figured why not! Not all rooms were created equal. That's for sure! We checked into our penthouse to find deli fried chicken someone left in the fridge, m&ms under bed, dust all over! Especially behind the tv stand, very visible area. Also candy wrappers on the floor. It was very poorly cleaned especially for pandemic! I went to front desk and showed them the photos of all the dust, chicken and candy wrappers. The girl was nice apologized and gave us resort credit. You can use it only in the lodge building restaurant/ bar and gift shops. Which came in handy later when we found out the fridge didn't work and ended up having to dump all our food. Also: Devon from front desk: first told me he'd check with manager for changing rooms. Later, turned out he was the manger. That was weird and left a sour taste. Back to the room: It's a full size massive fridge. I brought cakes, food and other perishable items in cooler bags with ice. Also a blue tooth device for the fridge just to keep the temperature in checked. It took 4-5 hours for the fridge to cool down / below 50 degrees. Ended up having to dump the food because food in warm fridge? Just unnecessary! They can't do much to help except give me ice. They did send someone up but he told me he doesn't trust anything with smart phone devices. And told me I was wrong. aka the blue tooth's temperature! Overall, love suncadia and previous stays. Hate suncadia penthouse stay/ experience!! Would not come back for this. Or if we do, definitely skipping the penthouse!Too many errors for one room. Totally not worth it and ruined our happy spot. We still made it happy somewhat. But all the stress could've been avoided!

I have dined here regularly with my family -- sometimes up to three times a month -- because we…read moregenuinely wanted this restaurant to live up to its high-end presentation. Unfortunately, after repeated experiences, it simply does not. As someone who frequently travels and dines at upscale restaurants and banquets, I can confidently say that what is marketed as refined here does not align with what is delivered. On multiple occasions, we found long dark hairs in our food -- including in my children's mac and cheese. This was not a one-time oversight. It became a pattern. Even more concerning, management-level staff with very long dark hair were consistently seen delivering food without it properly secured. When basic food safety standards appear optional at the leadership level, it speaks volumes. Beyond that, service execution is disorganized. Tables are crowded, and we repeatedly received incomplete settings or missing items -- condiments, steak knives, and at times portions of the meal itself. These are elementary details for any restaurant, let alone one positioning itself as upscale. The only bright spot was one blonde server named Sandi who handled the situation with professionalism and composure. She demonstrated the level of service the restaurant claims to embody. What ultimately makes the experience untenable is the atmosphere created by the head chef audibly yelling tickets and shouting at staff throughout service. A dining room should feel polished and controlled -- not chaotic and tense. After giving this establishment many opportunities to improve, we have decided not to return. High-end dining is not about price points or aesthetics -- it is about consistency, leadership, and standards. Those fundamentals are currently lacking here. Gorgeous place nonetheless.

Let's Break this Baby Down:…read more Pros: 1) Dog-friendly 2) Chocolate Martinis 3) Servers and Restaurant Service (top notch) 4) Rooms were pretty great on like a Americanized English Patient Economy Way Cons: 1) The hot tub gave me a UTI. I got it on my birthday instead of nookie and it took 10 days of medical treatment to expunge. I reported it to the health dept and they just repeated what the hotel told them about pH balance and sanitary levels. I spent three hours in a tub without a staffer taking levels. In Palm Springs, it is on the clock hourly. 2) in the snow tubing area, which was vast, I flew into a frozen pond and broke through to what smelled liked raw sewage, Suncadia reports it's just water run off. It was not quite "It's a Wonderful Life" traumatizing... but it's the first thing I remember about my birthday... even over the UTI that prevented me from making love to my husband for two weeks. 3) My gift was left in the room but never reported as missing. My only birthday gift this year. 4) Suncadia is a total cheap repelicant of rich people resorts. I don't want to go to those places because I detest rich people. However Suncadia is simple and overwhelmed, like the Vegas version of the Eiffel tower instead of the real Effiel tower.

Incredible......Every minute of our 2 day stay was absolutely incredible…read more To be fair, we are normal everday middle class people, so it doesn't take much to exceed expectations. We arrived & the valet guy was incredibly helpful with the check-in process & transporting our bags to the room. The property is beautiful and our room with hot tub was impressive. The Source bar within the hotel has great drinks & food, but the service staff was the best I've ever had anywhere. The bartender, she made the drinks strong enough that it felt worth the cost (which I was greatful for) and made them sweeter when I needed them to be. The waiter Mason........ literally the best waiter I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. Just attentive enough to feel taken care of, but not so much to be annoying, he was also training a new employee and was doing a fantastic job from what i was seeing. Explaining the job to such a degree of understanding that I only wish every restaurant had a "Mason" to train new employees. I want to give 3 Gold stars to the chef for the perfectly cooked lobster and shrimp mac. Im no pro, but I know how hard it is to cook lobster & shrimp to perfection thanks to the Food Network and the perfectly Al Dente bucatini with marsala mushrooms were sauted to ultimate tastiness. It's been a long time since we've had a meal that well cooked & it was delicious. Day 2, My husband & I had couples massage & facial at The Glade. Emily & Hailey were absolutely amazing massage therapist, they both listened to our needs in detail & they were executed to absolute perfection. Not once, did I need to tell her softer or harder and I have a severely broken foot i had surgery on 6wks ago. Every move she made, was made with my absolute comfort & relaxation in mind. Conversion was easy & relaxed, it felt like we've known them both for years. I would suggest that management consider Hailey's ideas in adding soundbath therapies. That would have made an incredible experience that much better. After our massage, I had a facial with Abby. She as well, listened to my needs and gave me the most spectacular & soothing facial with an equally easy & relaxed conversation. It felt wonderful to be taken care of to such a degree. The oxygenating fizzofoliant was so wonderfully bizarre that I purchased a bottle for myself. We had dinner reservations made a few minutes down the road so we were given shuttle service by Doyle, a hilariously quirky lovely older gentleman that played the best music for our 5 minute trip and Ben who jumped in to pick us up after dinner when Doyle was busy shutting other guests. The food at The Stovehouse was incredibly delicious, the tortilla chips were freshly made & perfectly crisp, the salsa had just the right amount chunk to sauce to heat & the guacamole was so good it had to be handmade. Clearly by someone who has a 100 year old family guacamole recipe running through their veins. The tuna was perfectly seared and the greens fresh & crisp, but again, our server Brennan was just as fantastic as we had at The source. He was perfectly attentive without feeling overwhelming & was incredibly helpful with a few silly requests that I had. All the staff seemed genuinely happy and content to work there, not a single word or action felt forced or even only nice because they were being paid to as part of the job. I really hope they're paid well, because Suncadia hit the jackpot with all of them. The only complaints we could nit pick about was that with my broken foot I wasn't able to take the 1,000 steps down to the river, the coffee shop doesn't open until 7am & The Glade could use a cold plunge pool for the people who like to use the mineral pools & sauna for long periods of time. I only wish that we could afford to come here again. Ive literally never felt this relax and well cared for by everyone at Suncadia.

Our stay at Suncadia the past two days was nothing short of disappointing. We had booked a stay…read morehere based on a family member's recommendation after she had a phenomenal experience last year. From check in to (early) check out it progressively got worse. We were coming for our babymoon and had requested as quiet a room as possible at the Inn (a more secluded stay to begin with). The room itself was mid-tier as knobs were broken on the side table, the patio only had one chair (despite other rooms having two chairs) and was covered in pine needles, there wasn't a way to stir the coffee made in the room (no spoons feels odd considering they have cream and sugar), and the shower struggled to get any hot water despite our best efforts. Starting on our second day, we found ourselves in a room next to a family where we could hear their young baby/toddler screaming and crying most hours they were in their room. Not a relaxing way to spend some private time together before we become a family of three. In terms of the restaurants, there were the two main restaurants and the service was lackluster throughout our stay. Almost no one checked in on us, food items were out at Stovehouse on our second day (which as a gluten free individual, became incredibly restrictive), and at one point my husband had to flag down a different waiter just so we could get our check and leave. The food itself was mediocre at best. It felt like most of the staff were new at their job as we had to constantly point out false charges (the guy at Rope Rider Golf Course tried to charge my husband for a round of golf despite it being included in our stay package) or failed to let us know about any hotel amenities (we missed s'mores hour the first night because no one told us where it was or how to be a part of it and no one let us know how to access the wifi). What was the nail in the coffin was our third day. We had booked the Putt and Pamper Package specifically to discount down one of my spa treatments as I am almost in my third trimester and wanted a day of relaxation and discounting down one of two treatments would be helpful financially. When I called to book my treatments (50-minute massage and 80-minute body treatment), my personal concierge was struggling to get the treatments booked on her end as she wasn't perfectly connected to the spa system, but let me know she'd get the two treatments booked and would call me if there were any issues. I never received a call so I assumed everything was taken care of. When I went in to check in for my spa treatments, the spa told me I was not even on the schedule and they could only accommodate both treatments if they were hours apart from each other. I ended up ditching the body treatment and kept the 50 minute massage (which would have absolutely been a longer massage had I not booked the room package I did). No concessions were offered which was surprising to me as someone who works in a customer service type role myself and is often in a position to offer those sorts of things when mistakes like this occur and I got to my massage later in the day trying to keep a positive attitude. The massage itself was nice but I could barely enjoy the rest of the spa's amenities as it began raining and the spa tubs and other pools were all outdoors in direct line of the rain. After all of this, we decided to cut our losses and leave a day early. The manager was at least accommodating considering everything and refunded our room fee for the third night, but it was still a disappointing end to what was supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip for my husband and I. The one highlight was a day of golf at Rope Rider with my husband. A beautiful golf course and challenging for golfers of all levels.

She was diligent and painstaking in researching the appropriate house and neighborhood for me. As I was a first time home buyer, I lacked the understanding of the home purchase process so Lauren went through the home buying process in great detail and ensured that I had a solid understanding of the process. She went above and beyond during our home tours, pointing out pros and cons of each house and researching on each house afterwards. She was very determined in finding the house which is the good fit for me. I really appreciated her flexibility when touring homes and her client-first attitude. I have had great pleasure working with Lauren for my home search.

"I definitely recommend Lauren Gokami at Coldwell Banker, Bain!…read more I am a stickler for punctuality. Lauren never kept me waiting. She was always on time and seeing her friendly professional persona was a confidence booster. As a Trustee, I wanted to sell a house in Newcastle. Lauren confidently explained to meet what she felt we needed to do to the house to sell it for our asking price. I am so happy I had Lauren as my realtor. Her suggestions and her dedication to spending the time necessary to stage the house (with some of her own personal belongings) to make it show well was fantastic. Her production of the video and pictures were beautiful. She spent a substantial amount of effort to advertise the listing. Her communications with me were always first-class. I was never in doubt what to do. She always came back to me with options and her thoughts for us to review. There were two comps when we put the house on the market. One comp is still on the market at a much lower price than they first advertised. The second comp is in escrow at a major decrease from the original listing. Lauren was able to get the house sold in 3 weeks at a very minor decrease from our asking price. The realtor from the home that is still available asked Lauren what she thought she should do to sell the house. Now that should tell you all you need to know. Get Lauren to sell your house.
