Their Interstate brand stood out as a clear winner in quality and value. Manager Chris, walked me through the product line and features, and while they didn't have exactly what I wanted in-stock (5x8 w/ swing open rear door), they were able to get exactly what I wanted in about 3 weeks. Fast forward to the pick-up date...customer service from Chris and the entire team was superb. Courteous, patient, and above all thorough...expect to spend 30-60 minutes with the team to go through a multi-point checkout of the trailer and tow vehicle. We are so happy on our purchase. Although i did not get the one that I anticipated, the 7x14 enclose cargo was the one I wanted to bring home, the creditor only offer a certain amount. I was upset at first we're ready to go home but Dylan have convinced me to see different trailers & I came up with the 6x12 it was nice trailer. I just started to love it. Made a decision that I can work on in for now & buy the one I have really like later. Still a Good trailer light weight & smooth on the road. Dylan & Chris are very welcoming & accommodating they did a fantastic in everything with our visit & purchased Kyle & Anthony made sure my trailer have the right amount of air & lug nuts torque are in specs. We bought a new trailer from the new manager at Trailers Plus. It was a GREAT experience! I felt well taken care of. The sales process was easy and we were able to secure or trailer online the night before with the online deposit. We LOVE our trailer and have already taken it to Wyoming with our motorcycles. We had a small issue with the roof and the manager got us right in and took care of it in a very friendly way. You have to make an appointment to go there which is no big deal. These ppl are con artists, they sold my husband a 24ft in closed trailer and told us our SUV would fit and our RV could pull the weight. We discovered in less than 3 hrs after we bought it that they had lied the SUV would not fit we needed to return it. We were shocked when they said no returns, when it was clearly their fault. They don't know who they are skewing, we are not walking away with our tails tucked. Thank goodness for credit card protect, the news media and yelp. read more

I stopped at this TrailersPlus location yesterday ready to buy a new dump trailer. I had $12k cash in my hand ready to buy. Show up at about 2pm to find the front gate locked. Some guy walking around inside told us to call the number on the sign out front. So I call the number and they told us we had to make an appointment and the soonest appointment was 1 WEEK out. I'm from out of town and need a trailer today and came with cash in hand ready to buy and I'm told the soonest appointment is 1 week out. There was ZERO other customers there. I could see from the street that the office front door was open and no one was inside. I guess they don't want a $12k sale so we went down the street and purchased a brand new dump trailer there instead. read more

Predatory to vulnerable customers. I purchased a trailer from these guys 6 months ago for $5k, so I thought they would be friendly with me. I bought a new truck and needed another ball/hitch to pull my trailer. I went to the front and he sold me a hitch with a higher drop. I'm not an expert, so I trusted him. I drove across the street, grabbed my trailer, and parked it by the Trailers Plus entrance. The guy comes outside and says that I need a lower drop and that the hitch he sold me was wrong. I ask him if I can exchange the ball/hitch he sold me 5 MINUTES EARLIER for the proper one. He said no, since I had driven it across the street. My trailer is parked literally across the street. This thing was $70 and he never told me that I would be out the money if it didn't fit. He called the owner in Idaho, but that guy didn't care at all. This company does not care about their customers. The owner does not care about his customers. Beware this deceitful business. read more

The guys who work there are great, super nice and helpful ! But whoever is in charge of all the stupid extra systems and protocols must love to waist time doing lots of extra useless work! I bought a trailer and had to come back twice and both times took over an hour. What a time suck!!!! I'll definitely think twice before buying from this company again. I'm a busy business owner who can't afford to waist that much time - the business owner should hire an efficiency expert and stop waisting peoples time!!!! I needed to purchase a fender for a trailer after the original one fell off...Website says store is open on Saturday. I go to the store and gate is locked and store is closed, with a sign saying store sales by appointment only??? What a flipping joke!!! After returning to my house I read some other poor reviews from others who have faced this same predicament....Here's a thought....You people who own and run this business are obviously not capable of anything that resembles good business management, so why don't you just close down the business and call it a day! An update on my review...I was told that a fender was in stock and I could pick it up today...I go to the store in the afternoon after work, ring the buzzer as the entry gate is locked, a young kid comes out only to tell me that he is new and the part wouldn't be available until tomorrow and the parts guy had gone home sick. This place is absolutely the worst business to deal with as one hand does not know what the other is doing! These guys are great! After a long wait at another trailer place in Petaluma, by husband and I decided to call TrailersPlus to see if they could answer our questions while the sales people in Petaluma ignored us. It turned out that not only did TrailersPlus have a more accessible staff, they also had lower prices and a better selection, so we got in the car and made the drive. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly employees who escorted us out to the lot immediately and showed us the models we were interested in. Wesley was the one primarily helping us, although there was another guy who was also around helping process the paperwork, answering questions, etc. They were knowledgeable about the differences between the models, and was able to explain all the added features that come with the increases in price. We picked the one we wanted, and were good to go! They processed everything efficiently and got us on our way, explaining the warranty and showing us where we can find locations along our route for the move in case we have any issues. They also explained that while there are no locations in Alaska (where we're moving) the 3 year warranty is still good up there. Stating that if we have a problem, all we have to do is call them, get 3 quotes from local places, and they will pay to have any repairs done if needed. Simply put, the staff is great, the product is great, and the company knows how to care for its customers. I would definitely go back, and highly recommend them! read more

Not sure about the previous one-star reviews, as I had a smooth, professional experience. I reserved the trailer online, and drove up the next morning to pick it up. I arrived early, around 9:30. The sales people took me in early and started the paperwork for the sale. He offered me a small discount (which covered a new spare tire), and was not pushy in the least. His colleague took me outside to review the safety check list. He was thorough, explanatory, and patient. As I was upgrading to a 18' 7K deck-over from a 12' utility trailer he made sure I understood the serious difference in weight. All was checked, I initialed each item, and then we wrapped up with my asking a few follow up questions. All in all they were courteous, easy going, and thorough. I would recommend them. read more

Purchased a trailer from this location a couple of months back. Dan installed it. One hour after purchasing the trailer while driving home the trailer came off the hitch and was swaying back and forth across the freeway only held on with chains. We stopped and the trailer went under my vehicle. Spoke with joe the manager while stuck on the freeway he couldn't help. My husband was lucky enough to find an Ace hardware location to help get it fixed and the proper parts that should have been installed with the trailer purchase. After getting our trailer install corrected by another company we reached out to this location regarding the damage to the trailer and my SUV. Spoke with Dan he admitted fault and spoke with joe who advised us everything will be taken care of with Dan. Dan mailed new trailer parts to my home for my husband to install on the trailer and was suppose to take care of the repair of my vehicle but to this day there hasn't been any more communication from Dan. I spoke with Joe who advised us that his employee has since quit and he doesn't know what to do. I contacted my insurance and now they won't even return the calls from my insurance company. Spoke with another guy and went in circle with him. This company SUCKS!! Would not recommend them at all. They will not take care of a issue they caused. What a joke. I stopped by the business yesterday to find the gate locked. The note on the gate says appointments only. That's fine. I called the number and got someone out of state and she made me an appointment for today at 3 pm. Keep in mind I am trying to buy a trailer to haul a vehicle 1800 miles. They claim to have the trailer I need in stock. So I show up at 3 pm for my appointment and the gate is again locked. I call the number and I get another person out of state and she calls me by name and says Great! I will let them know you are there. I even put a $50 deposit down to hold the trailer. I wait another 5 minutes and a guy finally comes out and tells me I don't have an appointment and there is nobody to help me. It's a bummer because I had cash in my pocket ready to buy. One of the BEST customer experiences I have had this year was with Joe and Justin at Trailers Plus in Santa Rosa. They rock. I was starting down the road to understanding whether I should build or buy a tailgate trailer. I found that most custom trailers were built in the deep south, making shipment or hauling to California very expensive. Additionally, I was very confused about what I should buy, build or contract given my priorities. Among the many calls and retail visits I made on this topic, the clearest recommendations came not from custom creators or electronics stores, but from Joe and Justin in Santa Rosa. I wanted to keep it simple and get it done, and they were SO helpful to us throughout the process. I finalized a contract with them to customize a trailer with electrical and a concession-like window. Purchased 3 trailers from theses folks. Our last trailer to haul a 9k tractor. they recommended a 10K trailer on there lot. Well it did not work out well. The jacks are only rated for 2k per side. The trailer weight was 2300 so take that off the 10k and you have a trailer underrated for this haul. The guy tried telling me we could not haul over 10k without a commercial lic after I complaint about the trailer. I contacted them for another trailer 14k in rating. They told me the old trailer they could not take back at a reduced rate. My feeling is I was mislead and now they are not standing behind their recommendation. I wont return...... read more

I didn't see the other Yelp reviews before buying my trailer. AND I am glad I didn't. The guys at Trailers Plus in Santa Rosa are second to none. My wife and I did a lot of shopping both on lots and via the internet. Chris and Paul at Trailers Plus had the lowest price (by several hundred dollars) and they didn't try to upsell us on anything. Wasn't very smart on my end and drove an hour in the morning only to find out they opened in the afternoon. Was trying to figure out what to do when I spotted a guy in their yard. His name is Chris and I explained my issue of time constraints to him. He didn't want me waiting 3 hours after driving an hour plus to get there and let me in. After searching on the internet, Trailers Plus had the best price and the trailer I need in stock. We arrive on a Saturday and the entire staff helped us. One showed me the trailer I wanted, checked it out to make sure it was new and in good shape. Another showed me how to use the lock, another guy reversed the ball on the hitch and hooked it up to my truck, and another guy went over the warranty. I had my race car trailer serviced at the Santa Rosa branch and was to leave in two days to haul a racecar to Portland Or. The trailer was fully serviced and I drove 40 miles to pick up the car but when I arrive one wheel was missing.Under inspection the lug nuts on the other side were all gone but 2 and the bearings on the side the wheel was came off were severely damaged. I called Trailers Plus and had a call back about 30 minutes later and I requested a rep inspect the problem and I need to leave the following day and his repeated response was I signed an inspection release and they would not send anybody. I informed him that it would cost me $1500 to ship the racecar and I just wanted to fix the problem but he repeatedly responded that the company would not drive 30 minutes to inspect the problem. Now I am out $1500 and labor to install the damaged bearings and safety check all of the work done. They have come back with an offer of parts to repair the damage done but I am out a lot of money and time due to a incompetent employee. The wheel came off someplace on the freeway and could have done major hurt someone or worse but the employee says he did everything correctly even after I informed the company that I had a written report that the work was not done at all on three wheel and used the wrong parts on the one completed with incorrect installation of the wheels causing one to come off. I bought my trailer here and I like the trailer but having service done here is something I would NEVER recommend. read more

Spent 7k on a new trailer, drove from Sonoma Co and got to Bakersfield and had a major suspension issue due to poor craftsmanship. I'd HIGHLY recommend you avoid any TrailersPlus products like the plague. They say they warranty their work, however, I'm stuck with a $200 repair bill, hours of lost time, sat in Bakersfield 100+ deg F heat with a 3mo old baby. Needless to say, EXTREMELY disappointed with the quality, their replies, and their follow through. Once they get your $, you're just another #. I'd rate them 0 stars if I could. read more
