This is a great addition to the Wilmington area. We took my mother out for breakfast here on her birthday you order at the counter and then they serve your food to your table. They had a great breakfast and the highlight for us were those amazing breakfast potatoes. Everyone agreed they were the star of the show. Please note they do not have many non-pork breakfast meat options. The staff was super friendly and nice and it definitely has that small town feel. It's conveniently located right next to the bike path and a bike shop. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area. read more

My sister and I met in Wilmington for lunch and after a quick Yelp search ended up at Trail Haus. We loved everything about it as soon as we pulled up. The outside is so cute and the patio is nice; also has an accessibility ramp. The inside is also adorable. Lots of seating options. There is a table with stools that runs the length of one of the walls. We found seats there. Totally random, but I brought a cooler full of breastmilk to give to my sister, and you were able to tuck that under the table and one of the employees was kind enough to fill several gallon bags of ice to help us keep it cool. You order at the counter and they bring your food out. I got a Buddha bowl and my sister got a Caesar salad with chicken and we split an order of loaded potatoes. My bowl was really good, but I wouldn't order it again because the dressing was oddly pretty sweet. I guess would eat it again with a different dressing. My Sister salad was a good size and she absolutely loved it. The potatoes were pretty good. Would eat them again! There were so many delicious sounding things on the menu that it was hard to choose, so I look forward to going back for more. We also took a strawberry croissant home to our little sister. The parking lot is huge, so you'll have no issues finding parking. It was a super hot day, so we couldn't sit up there, but we checked out the rooftop patio. So this was a completely random stop for food. I went for a drive and just took a couple random turn that put me on SR22 and about 45 minutes goes by and I am in Wilmington. I did a quick search and turned to go to Trail Haus. I parked and walked in and asked for options since I had never eaten here. The young lady behind the counter gave me several options and I chose the "Dagwood" and a water with potato salad vs potato chips. I sad down at the counter. And about 5 or so minutes went by for the huge sandwich and potato salad came out. The sandwich was very tasty and I will say a yummy Dagwood. Now me personally I am not a fan of dill so the potato salad wasn't my favorite sadly. It was still good but again. I don't like dill and it had dill so if like me choose something else. Again the sandwich was huge and I took half home and ate it the next day and it was still very yummy. I would gladly order this again. The place was very clean including the bathroom. Everyone on staff seemed very polite. I would gladly come back and I recommend this location if you are in the area. There is also a bicycle shop attached so if riding a bike trail or needing something new, I am sure they will take care of you while you enjoy a yummy meal. read more

Great food and service The restaurant is new and modern. It is connected to a bike shop and right along the bike trail. The menu has a good selection with the counter having signs about many specials. Everything is fresh and creative. They do not have kids meals so I ordered bubba cakes for the kids to share. You can not go wrong with this place. Prices may be just a tiny high but they are high all over the world now. So this is place to go especially if you have your pet with you and you just came off the trail. They have a patio and you and pooch can eat there. Really nice. The food was breakfast food. You can tell the eggs are premium. Other than that nothing jumped out. The service is nice at the counter. Easy to order. Friendly staff. BUT, be ready for a wait. The place wasnt packed, steady, but you could come in and grab a table. You can tell they are doing it a ticket at a time and just dont have the quickness I look for in a breakfast place. Waiting over 40 minutes for a plate that was a lot of pre-made stuff (Biscuits, gravy, cheese) they just had to make a couple eggs and throw em on. We've wanted to stop here since they opened and finally had an opportunity on Saturday. Cozy, modern interior. Greeted as soon as we arrived by a super friendly guy at the counter. He handed us menus and told us we could order at the counter whenever we were ready and our food would be brought to us. Said food was taking around 20 minutes, which wasn't unexpected. I decided on the poutine and husband got the Mediterranean chicken. Counter guy asked if I wanted a half portion and tbh I should have listened to him. Huge portion. Great flavors and extremely filling. Husband said the chicken was a little dry but otherwise enjoyed it. This place is right on the bike trail by a fantastic shop (Wheelies) that rents bikes. We never would've discovered this little gem if it were not for camping with a relative of the owner. It's only been open a short while and this was our first visit. I ordered their maple chicken after reading a review that was posted on Facebook by a friend and fellow camper. It's described on their menu as "our tender seared chicken bites nestled on a French toast dumpling and drizzled with your choice of spicy maple sauce with crumbled blue cheese or sweet strawberry maple sauce with crumbled feta." I highly recommend the spicy. The chicken was tender and juicy. The French toast dumpling was decadent and the combination of spicy maple sauce with crumbled blue cheese made it lick your plate worthy. It wasn't too spicy, but had just the right amount of flavor to complement the blue cheese. I can't wait to come back and get it again. I also had a side of perfectly cooked crispy bacon. Yum! My Husband ordered the French toast dumpling which was three sweet battered cinnamon dumplings served with bacon or goetta. He tried the goetta after learning it is German sausage. It was a nice change from his typical choice of bacon. Trail Haus is an adorable little place with a very nice patio. The menu is unique and the food and service were epic! I can see us becoming regulars. Especially if they get their liquor license and start serving spicy bloody Mary's. If that's the case, you will find us here every weekend! We had to stop for lunch earlier than we had planned on our road trip to feed a hungry baby. Decisions had to be made quickly and despite there only being 5 Yelp reviews we decided it was our best option.. Not only were we not disappointed we were quite impressed! Clean friendly environment with comfy chairs--a give plus since the baby needed to nurse. The bread was fresh baked, the sandwiches were generous is size and the quality was top notch! I'm out group of 5 we tried the lasagna, Caesar salad (best I've ever had!!), the Dagwood, the barbarian, the cordon blue, and the Mediterranean chicken. It was all so good!! read more
