Awful service by Riz and his manager Eric. Super rude and don't know how to handle a customer with warranty issues.

Review for Coast Appliances - Langley Location…read more I purchased a freezer from Coast Appliances on October 16, 2025, and was told delivery would take about two weeks. This worked perfectly for us as we had a side of beef arriving in early November. At the beginning of November, I followed up on the delivery date and was informed it had been delayed until the end of the month--but was assured it would arrive then. Because of this, I had to make arrangements to store the beef elsewhere until the freezer arrived. On November 28, I called again to confirm delivery timing and was told it had been delayed yet again--possibly up to another 90 days due to a manufacturing issue. I spoke with the manager, Steve, who simply told me it was "out of his control" and directed me to their fine-print policy. When I asked whether they could provide a temporary freezer or offer a comparable model to honour the sale, he refused. The next day, I went to the store to speak with him in person. Steve again refused to take any responsibility or offer any solution. When I requested a full refund, he said it would be processed the following Monday--and then abruptly told me that I "could leave now." The level of customer service at this location was extremely disappointing. I have purchased from Coast Appliances before, but I was shocked at the rudeness, lack of accountability, and complete unwillingness to help resolve a problem that stemmed from their own delays. Not even a basic apology was offered. I will not be returning to this location and would caution others to be aware of their poor communication and customer service. Angie M. Langley, BC

We just purchased a dishwasher and microwave from Coast Appliance, and have had nothing but issues…read morewith their service. It started with the sales rep Ryan. We went is with a model in mind to purchase but, due to the availability of stock (most seemed to have a 2 month wait list, according to him) we switched and settled for Samsung appliances for each. We had asked for an estimated delivery date, so we could book the install (the install was not something that they arrange for you, so be warned) and he said that he could not give one and to check in a week. I called a week later, and was told by Ryan again that Samsung does not provide estimated delivery dates, which makes no sense when you have to book an install that is also sitting at weeks away for schedule. I advised that I am only looking for an ETA, and if there were delays, I understand as I also am in sales and understand supply chain issues. Ryan responded that he would not provide an ETA, and "maybe he should discuss this with my husband as I clearly didn't understand". The demeaning way he treated me was out of line. I hung up and called back to speak to someone else, and was provided with the ETA of delivery with no issue. I made an official complaint with the manager, Shannon, of the Surrey/Langley store and was assured that Ryan would be pulled off our file. I booked the install with the installation company. The next day, Ryan advised the install company to cancel my appointment, without authorization from me or my husband. When the day came to have the install, it was discovered that the entirely wrong dishwasher was ordered, and the one we were given had no stainless steel plate on the front. The dishwasher is a complete eyesore and looks awful. We are currently in the process of listing our home, and now have to put all of that on hold as the kitchen can not be photographed or shown with the dishwasher looking the way it does. The resolution from Coast appliance was to completely replace the dishwasher with the right one. This is now not only holding up us listing our home by a week, but is also causing me to take a minimum of 4 hours off work. I have called the regional manager Gabby, multiple times and have yet to receive a call back. The only compensation that has been offer to us is $100! How they feel that is adequate compensation, when it doesn't even cover the cost of my missed work, not to mention the delay in selling our house, is beyond me. Do not use this company to purchase your appliances. It is not worth it. The additional work you have to complete in the installation and general follow-up is not worth any amount you may save on the purchase price. Find a company who values their customers.

Kash Rauf who is one of the product specialists inquired if we needed any help. We asked him a few questions about the stove we were looking at and then he joined us for a further discussion about the refrigerators they had on display. He then gave us information about the microwaves we were interested in. Not only did we all stay beyond the closing time, based on his attentiveness and unhurried manner, we went home with a brand new stove, fridge and microwave. Thanks Kash for all your help. My first impression was surprise at the numbers and variety of products on display. I was met by a salesman who showed me a suitable washing machine. He was easy going with no high pressure tactics but possessing excellent product knowledge. After comparison with other companies we bought a washing machine and also a dish washer. the entire process was completed in a timely manner and was totally stress free from sales to delivery and installation. A reliable and trustworthy company ran by professional personnel throughout. Thank you Trail Appliances. Llew. B. PS. Ask for Sid. He made our experience easy and enjoyable. While the initial call and appointment setting process was reasonably smooth, things went downhill from there. Once we got the quote and approved it, it took over two weeks before they ordered the part. They indicated that the part should take 10 to 14 days to arrive. Over the ensuing 8 weeks, whenever I called to get an update ( I only succeeded in getting through to them 4 times from over 20 phone/text attempts. I was told they either didn't know what was going on, the part should arrive today/tomorrow and/or they would get back to me with an update. Nobody ever called me back or responded to phone or text messages. We eventually called another service provider and had everything complete within two weeks. Completely abysmal customer service. I would recommend that you stay away from this company.

Nobody has even time for that. Besides, I'm not the only one. It would have been more convincing to apologize to a disappointed customer and offer a venue to improve upon the experience. Many negative reviews can be changed into a positive one by smart business owners. Again, this opportunity was not even attempted here. Which serves to solidify my initial observation and impression.

This is like a higher end IKEA and it's the closest full service furniture store to Whistler, without driving allllllll the way to Vancouver. We've used The Brick for two major hauls, once to buy furniture for our bedroom and living room and then the second time to get pieces that were missing. I like it that you get everything that you need even electronics, and they deliver free of charge. In under an hour for both shopping trips we had a new bedroom set picked out, living room furniture, dinning room furniture, bathroom storage solutions, TVs and wall art. I hate driving around to multiple locations trying to get what you need to get your house together and this was just convenient. The sales rep Ahmad that helped us was very cool and wasn't one of those pushy sales people. I wish I remembered the name of the lady that helped us the second time around, she was awesome as well. Delivery happened on time/ hassle free and just like that we had peices of furniture to fill our house. Pro tip: ask to purchase the floor model (it's already assembled and may be discounted). We did that with a bar storage cabinet that was super cool looking but looked really hard to put together as well as a full length mirror/jewelry storage chest. #Squamish

Cloverdale Lawn & Garden Equipment - There are countless YT videos showing many wiring issues being the cause of these fails on different generations of mowers.

My Ego lawnmower was faulting (3 separate occasions over a month and no.. it was not the batteries)…read moreso I took it in under warranty on Aug 6. Messaged them that day on Facebook what I thought might be the issue and the owner replied the video I sent was a waste of his time. He was very rude/dismissive in his reply. After 2.5 weeks with no update, I called to see if it was fixed. I was told they did not see the fault after running the mower an hr a day 'apparently" every day. I asked if they opened it up to confirm the wiring was not damaged, causing the fault for me 3 different days cutting grass, and she said no. So, 2.5 weeks they had my mower and didn't open it once. Why didn't they call? The owner was sitting right near me and wouldn't even come discuss. They do not care about their customers after the sale is made. I've spent $4000 in their shop on Ego products (lawnmower, chainsaw, generator, blower, hedge attachment, solar panel charger, power head, trimmer attachment and a cutters kit). Horribly rude people. I wish I had spent my money elsewhere. Ego has referred me to a new shop that I haven spoken with and they know what the issue is and will be fixing it this coming week. Read through their Google reviews and you will see my experience is not a one off. I will always support small family run shops, sadly not this one, ever again. They do not care about your business.
