Every time I visit Falmouth, I visit Trago Mills. Trago seem to sell everything and anything at a decent, low price. The shop sells clothing, household goods, toys, tools and so much more, and it is usually a lot cheaper than anywhere else in the area. The queues at the till can be quite long as Trago is very popular, so I advise you use one of the quieter downstairs tills. In recent visits I have had some cheap Christmas decorations, chocolate and carpet. What I like about Trago is you never know what your going to find when you get there, so you usually leave with all sorts of useful things. A must for anybody in Falmouth or visiting, I don't think there is anything they don't sell. You can lose yourself for a good hour in this shop and this is the smallest store out the group! Excellent shop to browse around and you normaly pick up some good bargains. For example I bought some fishing rigs for 49p each - in my local shop the exactly the same rigs in the sam packaging cost £1.75 each! read more

This is a cheap department store, where i find you ca get some bargains. Some of the products are awful in quality, but the majority of the stuff is branded and reduced to bargain prices. There are numerous departments from gardening to furniture to toys. The store is situated at the beginning of the main street, there is a car park very close but it can be difficult to get large goods to the car as there is no parking immediatley outside the shop. There are loads of staff, all of whom are friendly and polite. This shop is worth visiting if in the area. There store itself is quite difficult to navigate with stairs going here there and everywhere, signage could be better in describing locations. Not sure how you would manage if with a pram or wheelchair and I am not aware of any lifts in the shop. read more

One of the best places to shop in Cornwall. If you like your bargains then Trago Mills is the place for you. They have everything under one roof. You could fit out your entire house at Trago Mills. We always get some bargains there and also come home with some stuff we didn't really want - always good food available. read more

The staff are usually very helpful but are really hard to find at times. I get annoyed when I get sent to ask another staff member in another area. They are very god value for money on a lot of things, but quite too often they have run out of items which is most annoying. This happens frequently and therefore they are not good for reliability. There is a very wide range of things and assorted departments, which reminds me of the olden days. read more

Merthyr Tydfil Just had the worst retail experience in 50 years. In short tried to return an event shelter for a refund because in our view it was not fit for purpose (59.99) We tried for 1.5 hours to put this product together on a recent camping trip but failed. The instructions are very unclear, the structure itself is not well made and it cannot support the weight of the canopy on its frame.Trago Mills apparently has a no returns policy if there is nothing wrong with the product. They only offer exchange or a credit note not a refund. This is not printed on the receipt and there is no returns policy on the customer service desk, apparently by law they don't have to display their policy only by the tills (although I didn't see this).Our case was that the item was not fit for purpose. Unbelievably, after having some sort of interaction with a superviser they attempted to put this canopy together in the foyer of the shop! We sat and watched two employees struggle for 45 mins and still the structure was not complete - the frame could not simply hold the weight of the canopy - one employee stood in the middle holding the frame for 10 mins and it simply would not hold itself. I have never felt so intimidated in a retail environment. The management team and employees - 8- 10 people watched from a distance while the construction attempt was made! We were in full view of other customers feeling vunerable and being criticised by Trago Mills staff behind the glass.The Superviser, Customer services rep and other staff members are not trained - they simply have to protect at all costs the Company Policy.This has been a very upsetting experience and despite the structure not being completed after 45 mins we had to reluctantly accept a credit note.I did have the last word and the credit note will be given to another family member because we will never ever go to this shop again.Buyer Beware read more

I have been using Trago since it began and enjoyed the variety and quirkiness of the enterprise which transformed attitudes to shopping in a formerly very conservative retail environment in this part of the country. All praise to Mike Robertson and latterly son Bruce in shaking up the local council and businesses to improve their services. However an incident occurred recently which has spoiled the experience. while waiting to collect goods from the DIY section the pickup area was blocked by a car with its door left open so no-one could get by. The lady passenger and staff were well aware they were holding up customers while they dealt with some complicated problem. When asked if the car could be moved one member of staff replied "don't tell me what to do!" Meanwhile a low loader had also joined the queue. After ten minutes we all leant on our horns and the decibels in a confined space finally convinced the staff they had to take action. We should certainly not have had to express our frustration in this way. Not the slightest effort to apologise for inconvenience of course. What irritated us was that the staff evidently thought their personal egos were more important than customers' wishes. Perhaps they should remember who pays their wages. Anyway I am reporting the matter to the duty manager and to Bruce Robertson. I wonder what sort of reply, if any, I receive. read more
