If one falls asleep on a southwesterly-bound railway service, one will awaken in Penzance, an unremarkable town save for this little emporium. As well as the staple variety of ladies' and gentlemen's attire, Mr Lucas peddles essential home furnishings such as stuffed birds, antlers and ancient radiograms.

She came across as rude and arrogant. Cannot fault any other members of staff that I have had the pleasure of meeting in there. The shop itself is quite small. There isn't much room to move around if it is busy, especially at christmas when they have extra shelving out with cards, gifts and decorations. However with it being a smaller shop you do get a much better service. There's always a good selection of clothes, bags and shoes as well as DVDs, books and CDs. Sometimes they can be a little bit thin on mens and kids but its obviously just because that stuff hasn't been donated. This is definitely one of the friendliest charity shops in the locality, I just wish they would reeducate that one staff member on how to treat a paying customer.

Browsers is a great second hand bookshop hidden away inside St Georges arcade, the place looks…read moresmall from the outside but opens up and has a second storey, the books are packed to the ceiling. They cover pretty much any area and the books are all really well priced, great for saving money, I often pick up books that appear to never have been read. Also, on the outside racks just behind the mills and boone books is the sci fi section with a great selection of really trashy sci fi, some absolute gems can be found here for only a pound or two each!

Suitably dark and musty it is generally run by nice and groovy people who are happy to have a chat or let you just get on with.
