I found this shopping mall has nearly everything under its roof, the roof lets in alot of daylight, there are three levels with a food court on the third with Burgerking, Spud-u-LIke, and others. The range of stores here are mostly for clothing with New Look, Next, but also jewellers, music store of HMV but no store to buy an electiric shaver. Conclusion is many top brand stores here with easy access for wheelchairs with elevators from level to level and not many steps. There is a car parking lot that is connected with more elevators however there is a charge for parking at a ticket machine before you leave so beware how long you are staying as the longer there the more will be charged.....crazy Rated a struggling 2 stars as carparking should be free. read more

I like this shopping centre, it brings the centre of Plymouth into the 21st Century. It is easy to get to and parking is easy. You pay as you leave which is great as I never have any spare change! All of your usual chain shops can be found here and you can stay dry now whilst you do your shopping. Coffee shops galore, so you won't go thirsty! The downside for me is that House of Fraser and Debenhams remain out of the centre, so despite it all being very convenient to shop inside, you need to have your coat if you are planning to venture to either of these or beyond. Overall a welcome addition to what was a dreary town centre. There are lots of Plymothians who dislike it, but you can't please everybody! read more

A little difficult to review Drakes Circus, for me the mall is a lot smaller to the ones in the US and the clothing store selection is poor. However for the size of the city it is most likely very good, the mall is very clean and newly built. It's alright - it has brought Plymouth into the 90's but it also has a major flaw in that it illustrates just how run down the rest of the city is. There is a decent selection of shops but nothing new or individual. it's one of those typical new shopping centres which look impressive and large for the exterior but once you get inside it isn't actually that big. That said it's a welcome edition to the Plymouth map and whenever I have been home it has always been packed so it must be doing something right. read more

Nice, modern and clean shopping centre. Really nice stores for clothes and shoes in there. What I only miss is a big supermarket in there. As far as I know, they have once a year also a student shopping night there where students get 10-20% discount in several stores (only with a NUS card). Drake circus shopping centre in plymouth is a very busy shopping centre as the shops like debenhams,marks and spencer, H and M, Boots are lined and get very busy. Every sunday me along with my hubby go there to just have fun. But I would say what bothers me going there is the car park, as they get filled up on sundays and u hardly get any space. As much as the shopping centre is concerned the floor and the designing done is quite fascinating and you can get there anything you want. There are wide variety of restaurants where you can have your food after you get tired of shopping. My experience of this shopping centre has been really good. read more

Really has brightened up Plymouth City Centre, there is no doubt. I'm one of those that love the exterior look of the building, it's very modern and quirky! Inside, it's well lit and generally warm, an absolute God-send in the Christmas shopping evenings! nothing worse than having to trudge around in the dark and wet, you wont have that problem here! The variety of shops is very good, though perhaps just a few too many shoe shops?!! though I expect my girlfriend would disagree. Everything seems to be well thought out with regards to the layout, and there always seem to be some security guards around, which is reassuring. Also, it should be noted that they often have little shows or presentations, which is a really nice touch. Recently the clothes shops within the mall took part in a cat-walk show, raising money for charity. Not only was it well organised, it was great fun to watch Overall, a really good addition to Plymouth, excellent for evening shopping on a thursday, and the place just has a lovely atmosphere! read more

It's an interesting one this one. Years and years plymouth waited for ages to have a modern fresh and funky and lively new shopping complex, and to some degree the drake circus has done that. it is alot better than the old car prk that used to be there anyway! I think the main thing i like about this store is the openess and that it is spacious - it has a variety of shops and ones that i like, although diversity in plymouth is not very high, the shops are very the same. None the less the place is always kept clean and tidy and there are always security guys around - this is reassuring and it is quite nice. the lift is occasionally broken and sometimes the escalator - but on the whole it is a pretty good mall. read more

Liked this shopping mall, looks modern and has a very good selection of shops. I find the starbucks on the lower floor a great place to meet up with people. The food court has a place selling very good baked potatoes. read more

A funny looking shopping centre that strangely grows on you (or you get used to after a few years!). A wide range of shops although most are aimed at women, surprisingly. Only go on saturdays if you dare as it can get extremely busy and can find yourself yourself getting swept into shops you didnt ever think you'd ever set foot in. A few coffee shops (the obligatory starbucks of course) are scattered about, theres one at the top which tends to be a bit less busy. Also a burger king and baked potato shop are there if you get hungry. Loads of parking available with handy machines that you pay after your shopping trip. read more

Hate the external architecture of this new so called 'shopping heaven'-to me it's hell. But undeniably this has been a popular addition to Plymouth retail since it's opening. All the standard chain stores are here plus several welcome coffee places. There's a dearth of individual shops as is always the case-but the whole centre is easily navigates ( up one side and down the other then downstairs to do it all again!) Drakes circus has definatly bought Plymouth a bit more up to date with the rest of the country! Although not a huge shopping centre it does hold some of the major retailers such as boots, zavvi, new look, primark, hotel chocolat, the list goes on. It has a very modern exterior - which at first i hated - but it slowly grows on you! It is set over 3 floors with a food court on the top floor, although there is not much variety within the food court it is mostly cheap and cheerful - great for those on a budget. There are some quirky features within the shopping centre such as glass cubes within the floor displaying different aquatic objects - which the kids seem to love. It is a pretty standard shopping centre with all the usual highstreet shops, you wont find any quirky boutiques or privately run businesses in there. Good for when you need to shop but dont want to be out in the rain though!! read more

Good selection of shops although it seems to appeal more to the female market! Can be busy on the weekend and you cannot move in there near christmas! Shops inside include River island, M&S and Next. Some promotional stalls can be found around the mall at different times of the year selling items such as toys, to sweets. Unlike many people I really like the external appearance of this building. It is a huge asset to Plymouth and has lots of varied shops and eating places. The car park allows you to shop without going outside at all and although we usually end up parking at the top we have always found a space. There are one set of toilets and the womens always has a long queue going into the lift area but there are also two disabled toilets. The walkway is well lit and there are often other sellers/ demostrators in the middle of this. One great thing about this center is that Plymouth now has an H and M store which we didnt have before, but several stores have simply moved from their old premises into here (such as M and S, Boots) or added an additional store such as Waterstones. read more

A funny looking shopping centre from the outside but a welcome addition to the town centre. The number of shops inside is great with all the familiar ones moving in and some great new ones that Plymouth has not had before including Hotel Chocolat! There is a car park attached so you don't need to get wet and you can pay on the way out so no rushing back because your ticket is going to run out! read more

This is still a fairly new venture for plymouth but it seems to be proving as quite a hit, it is always full of hussle and bussle especially at weekends. there is plenty of variety for all and i like the fact that it is always so clean everywhere, even the public toilets! read more

Fairly average shopping centre with the usual chain stores e.g. Topshop,H&M and Next. The shopping centre is kept clean and tidy, the parking is good and the amenities are clean. It would be better with a variety of different stores as the majority are clothes shops. read more

A small mall which in my opnion does not charge fair prices. Its car-park is dangerous and expensive. Inside there is nothing unique other then the fear of being attacked by all the gangs that freely roam its dirty walkways. read more

Drakes Circus is still new and its still fantastic. There is loads of shops in this mall my favorites being Republic, Cult & Zavvi. It is the easiest place in Cornwall and Devon to spend some of your hard earned cash and is superior to Exeters Princesshay (which was a little disapointing). There is also several places to eat such as Spud U like and Burger King. I cant comment on the car park as i allways park at the Toys R Us and car park and walk through town as i still enjoy the City Centre. read more

The shopping centre is still new and therefore in great modern condition, it is not particularly large and has the usual chain stores e.g. M & S, Faith, Oasis, Boots, Zavvi, Monsoon, Primark, Topshop,H&M and Next. The shopping centre is very clean and tidy with people constantly going around to make sure it stays that way. The parking is great, and the amenities are clean. There are plenty of facilities for disabled and young children. The whole top floor consists of eating areas, so you could stay under cover if you wanted too. The Next is a lovely size set over two floors, but has it's own private lifts so it means you dont have to go back out to the hustle and bustle of the actual shopping centre. Likewise the Primark also covers two floors, one being underground and the first on the level. The lifts can be very busy on a weekday and especially a saturday. Overall a good shopping experience. read more

Soulless and sad short run of indifferent downmarket shops adding nothing to the retail selection in the city. Zara have made plain their intention to leave when they can offload the lease. This place has destroyed the cohesion and life of the rest of the town without adding anything unless you are an early teenage jannermaid. read more
