The store is great, but the customer service in the cafe is poor. I stood patiently in a long queue for about 15 mins (before they officially stopped serving breakfast) - the person in front of me ordered their breakfast, but when it came to my turn, the staff member told me that they were no longer serving breakfast...! That was the whole point of me waiting in the long queue. When I politely explained this, the member of staff didn't apologise, she just said they were no longer serving breakfast and asked me what I wanted instead!!?? I was stunned and as I had only wanted breakfast and didn't want anything else, I didn't order anything and walked away with an empty tray and have decided not to bother with the Sainsburys cafe again. I get that there is a time limit for breakfast, but it wasn't my problem that it took so long for them to deal with the queue that when it came to my turn to order, their breakfasts had timed out. Could have been dealt with in a much more satisfactory way. read more
