Initially, my experience was positive, they promptly filed my court documents, and I appreciated their quick work at the beginning of the process. Unfortunately, communication came to a complete stop after that. Over the following month, I sent multiple follow-up emails, made several phone calls, and left a voicemail requesting an update on the status of my service request. Despite these efforts, I generally received no response and no information regarding whether service attempts had been made or what the next steps would be. I understand that service of process is not always straightforward and that delays can occur. My concern was not the delay itself, but the lack of communication. Even a brief update would have been appreciated and would have given me confidence that my case was still being handled. Because I was unable to obtain any solid information after more than a month, I ultimately decided to retain another process server to avoid further delays in my court matter. I hope the company improves its communication with clients, as timely updates are especially important when people are relying on process service for legal proceedings.

It is highly suspect that all but one of this business's Google reviews are 5 stars, especially since many of those 5-star reviews are from accounts that have only ever rated this particular business. It may very well be bought/bot reviews and the business owner's very own alternate accounts! TL;DR version: I will need to go to court to request another court date from the judge yet again but will most likely end up paying to refile one of my documents with the clerk recorder all over again; all thanks to this process service taking months to serve the court documents then abruptly quitting without serving the documents. Full version: From my personal experience, Roy is an all-talk-no-action process server that does not help much besides trying to reassure by talking about himself and his credentials and griping about the price of diesel. If diesel is all that expensive, you would think he would only use the full surveillance truck when it's a private investigation pursuit or a workers' comp case, but I digress. I lost time and money taking this guy's advice and utilizing his legal process service for my case. Roy has twice told me to request a new court date from the court clerk. All the while, the court clerk CANNOT issue a motion for continuance or even approve an SC-150 and set a new date at this point in my case; it has to be the judge at the already-assigned court date. It's kind of shocking that despite the 30 years or whatever he's been doing this and the know-it-all attitude that this process server didn't know that. Then after causing my court case to drag on TWICE by not serving the papers and wasting my time twice by barking orders (go to the court clerk recorder) based on misinformation, he had the nerve to insinuate that I'm stupid for asking him if it could be served at work to the individual's supervisor, as a previous document had been served in this manner. Very rude and unprofessional, he kept telling me it needed to be served by a process server or sheriff over and over, which I already knew and was why I was utilizing his service in the first place. I realized he meant it must be served personally by the process server, so when he kept on asking if I wanted him to serve it to the supervisor, in other words improperly, after I clearly understood it had to be served personally. I said, no, I don't want that if that's not the proper way. That is when he asked if I was stupid and said he didn't want to work with me. He was very upset and frustrated during this final phone conversation, saying he made multiple (3) attempts at serving already. Because of these attempts, he kept saying he was doing me a favor. If that's not part of the job, why does his business advertise unlimited attempts at service and 5 attempts free of extra charge? Please see photo attached below of the website for this business. I don't need this nonsense. I already have enough stress with this and another claim/case due to aggressive ignoramuses on the roads of San Jose totaling my vehicle (100% other party's fault). We all have problems, but this process server made his problems mine and took out his frustrations on me. I would not recommend this business to anyone.
