Especially want to acknowledge Shaina on the beverage cart, despite the course being full and only one attendant she was ever present, very pleasant and handled all groups efficiently and professionally and kept the pace moving. So finding myself in October playing my first round of the year at Indian Wells Golf Resort was a little sad, but also a great way to finally kick off my golf season! We had a group of eight friends playing together, and from the moment we pulled up, it was clear this was going to be a special experience. The course is absolutely beautiful, with stunning desert and mountain views, challenging greens, and plenty of water hazards to keep things interesting. You can definitely tell this is an upscale golf resort. The carts are fantastic, equipped with fans and even misters to help keep you cool in the desert heat. Each cart also has a cooler and ball washer, and there's plenty of drinking water available throughout the course, complete with cups. These little touches really make a difference when you're golfing in Palm Springs temperatures! The course itself was in amazing condition. The fairways were beautifully maintained, the greens were challenging but fun, and the pin placements kept things interesting. There's also quite a bit of water throughout the course, which adds to both the beauty and the challenge. Since we were playing a scramble, it took some pressure off those of us who hadn't played much recently. I was pleasantly surprised that despite not having picked up my clubs all year, I managed to keep up and even contribute a few good shots! The staff throughout the resort were friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed some hot dogs at the turn before heading out for the back nine. Indian Wells isn't exactly inexpensive, but this is definitely one of those courses where you feel you're getting a premium experience for your money. Between the course conditions, beautiful scenery, thoughtful amenities, and excellent service, it's easy to understand why this resort has such a great reputation. My advice? Don't rush your round. Take your time, enjoy the scenery, have a few laughs with your friends, and soak in the entire experience. Highly recommended! I'd absolutely play here again, and hopefully I won't wait until October for my first round next year!

Before we teed off, the marshal was extremely helpful, providing course knowledge and a pin placement sheet that made navigating the course much easier and enhanced the overall experience. Bev cart girl was also out several times and very attentive Bad: The biggest disappointment was that the halfway house was closed, even though the restaurant staff had told me before the round that it would be open. Additionally, the outside services staff were not particularly friendly when we finished our round after we declined having our clubs cleaned and carried to the parking lot. We also felt discouraged from visiting the pro shop because we had our golf bags with us, which left a negative final impression after an otherwise excellent day on the course.

The staff was very helpful in getting me quickly to the tee box which I appreciated. My play was a little scrappy in the beginning but it took me a few holes to get used to the course. Overall the course was in mediocre condition specifically the fairways were tight and thin, and the greens were very scrappy and bumpy. There also were many dead/brown spots on almost all the greens. The course itself had a few scenic holes that played against the mountainside. For the price, I was not too surprised at the condition of the course. I could not find the Dunes course here so my review for it will go here. In the afternoon I played the Dunes course which was a flatter Pete Dye course running side by side to the Mountain course. Unfortunately the course was also in the same condition of the Mountain course. The only problem was the 120 degree F weather I had to contend with. I honestly lasted 16 holes before succumbing to the heat on the last two holes. In all honesty, I will probably spend more time on the three PGA West courses about 10 minutes further south, before considering these courses. Also the prices did match the quality of these courses.

I have played at some that are just as decent for $15 for 9 holes and replay is $8. So for almost $50 plus $15 for a cart it is a little expensive for what you get. With that being said they are building a large pro shop / restraunt. Maybe thats the justification for the higher fees. The starter/marshall was friendly and knowledgeable. There were some teens and some that maybe should stick to the range a few more times before they come to a course. I should have to wait to tee off so that you can take your 3rd shot from the middle of my fairway and be pointed backwars back to your hole. All the holes are par 3, so its fairly quick. Took three of us about 2 hrs 20 min and thats with having to wait for a group in front of us to pick it up. The greens are decent and challenging. If you go in the middle of the day its not as busy. Our tee time was 4:40 and the course was pretty empty but as we finished the front 9 it was getting busy and by the time we finished the 18th it was packed. It was fun but for the price we can find PGA level courses closer to us.

While it appeared the attendant was covering both courses, we teed off before 10 a.m., so another pass would have been appreciated. There also didn't appear to be any marshals on the course. We found ourselves waiting on a twosome ahead of us several times but we still finished ahead of schedule so not the biggest issue, but it did impact the pace of play. Additionally, there were kids fishing near multiple tee boxes and lakes along the course, occasionally standing close to the line of play, which raised some safety concerns.
