The affected rubber softened and began swelling before any interior leak appeared. This was treated as both a contamination issue and a roofing repair. The generator technician stopped the source, and a qualified cleanup company handled the fuel and contaminated materials. Roofing work began only after the area was cleared. The damaged membrane and insulation were removed to clean, unaffected boundaries. The deck did not require replacement. New insulation and compatible EPDM membrane restored the area, while a protective equipment pad and containment arrangement were added around the generator under the appropriate service scopes. The exact repaired zone was marked in the roof records. A residual odor remained near the hatch for several days, although no fuel entered the occupied rooms. We kept the access area ventilated until it cleared. Disposal documentation took longer to receive than the roof photographs. The repair remains dry, and later generator testing produced no additional spill. Correcting the equipment source before closing the roof prevented the same damage from repeating.

Great experience from start to finish with Royal Roofing and Siding Long Island. Our house had…read moreolder cement shingles beneath aluminum siding installed by a previous owner. Before anyone disturbed the exterior, samples were sent for laboratory testing. The results confirmed that the concealed shingles contained asbestos. The siding installers did not treat that as ordinary demolition. A properly licensed abatement company handled the regulated material under a separate scope, and the new siding work began only after that phase was completed. It added coordination and cost, but it was information we needed before opening the walls. Once the old materials were gone, the original board sheathing could finally be inspected. Most of it remained solid. Localized repairs were required below two windows where older flashing had failed. A new water-resistive barrier was installed, the window openings were flashed, and fiber-cement lap siding was used for the replacement exterior. We selected a simple exposure and trim profile that did not make the older house look overly modern. Utility penetrations and exterior lights received proper mounting details. The siding delivery arrived before the abatement phase was finished, leaving the material stored on the property longer than expected. It was kept covered, but the staging area took up part of our side access for several days. Once we raised the issue, the material was consolidated to leave a clearer path. The completed exterior is consistent on every elevation, and the repaired window areas have stayed dry. More importantly, the concealed material was identified before demolition instead of becoming an unpleasant surprise in the middle of the job. The testing and separate abatement should be verified for any project involving older cement siding.

I didn't have to be home they would come and take care of it the next year. I heard something else in my attic they came with a drone found the whole immediately on the other side of the house and promptly fixed it. I couldn't be more thrilled at how quickly they responded to my small job versus the big jobs that they're used to getting. I appreciate that they took my nervousness about having these creatures in my attic. Seriously I thanked them 100 times.

In every step of the process, Nassau Roofers were extremely professional. No drama. No scare tactics. And their price was very fair. Spencer showed up to do the estimate. He explained everything very clearly. Straight forward and professional. Nelson and team showed up early 3 days later and finished the job quickly and cleaned up well. Part of the roof was covered in snow and these guys efficiently cleared everything away and even shared pictures and video afterwards. Megan and Brian are 2nd generation owners taking over from their father. The company has been around for 48 years. The work comes with a 12 year guarantee. It makes us feel good we are dealing with a company with legacy and will be around to take care of issues. We are very happy we picked Nassau Roofers.

The gutter debris is mostly pulled out by hand much more easily than I could imagine myself doing, resting ladders at proper points as the vinal siding is new and definately not structured to support pressure. Using a blower to extract what remains the workers always ask permission to enter our neighbors yards where some sticks, leaves and tennis balls had fallen to. Running up and down the driveways moving equipment cleaning every single stray item on the properties is why I call on Abraham to clean my gutters and leaders as well as apply some mid year preventative maintenance.

They pivoted when realizing this was necessary, but did not warn us, nor did they offer, to protect the attic from all the debris. We were storing all of our wedding gifts and many other items in the attic during this work, and the workers should have easily seen that it was being trashed. They had one guy come and shop vac a littl out, but the damage was done. I asked for a more thorough cleaning, and have yet to get it. I was forced to bring everything down to clean myself, but the debris that is spread throughout the attic will most likely just stay there forever.

After that became exhausting, against my will, I realized that I was unable to keep the roof that I thought I could not live without, forever. I had John Dominick Cusumano, Inc. rip my roof off and replace it with a new asphalt shingle roof. Dominick and Donna, their receptionist, were very helpful in selecting out a shingle that still gave the old-world charm of my Pennsylvania slate that was falling apart. Cusumano was able to put back my old copper snow guards & ridges on the new asphalt roof, giving the new roof the old look that I loved. They were also able to add a new copper valley and copper trim to a dormer and give the new copper that old tarnished green look to match the old existing copper. I was so happy with their work that shortly after, I had them build a walk-in closet for my wife. After they had finished, I realized that there were too many shelves for shoes and not enough for clothes. After conveying this to Dominick, he sent his workers back the following week and reconstructed the closet to my wife's liking. The owners, Dominick and his brother, John are two exceptional gentlemen. They run a professional business and are very nice with their customers. Donna, the receptionist, always kept me abreast of the scheduled work. All their workers are very polite and professional, and always clean up at the end of the day. I would have to give them all 5 stars for customer satisfaction.
