    Neat store and coffeehouse

This is an amazing place! I was looking for a new coffee place to try that near my home and had no idea Coffeehouse Ten24 was here. I decided to take a risk and drive to Eaton for this morning's coffee and study time. The shop is located right off the 85 with a parking lot to the north. They open at 5:30am which is a huge benefit for early risers like me. When I walked in I found what looked more like a store than anything else, but then I noticed the coffee and restaurant part in the back. There are tables scattered throughout the store and plenty of seating. I ordered their Scottish blend coffee and a breakfast burrito with chorizo. The coffee is delicious and the burrito was spicy and tasty. I began talking with the lady who helped me and she walked me around and told me a little bit about the place. This is a great place to sit and study with the free wifi and awesome atmosphere. They are a non-profit store that supports a few different causes, to include sex trafficking, The Tabitha Center (support for young women in Congo), Saruni International (support for young girls in Kenya), and others. They have merchandise that was made by young women that sends 100% profits to the girls who make it. There are paid and volunteer staff to keep the store going and from my first visit I am very impressed with the work they do and their heart for people! I will be back to help support the causes and have tasty coffee.

Absolutely adorable restaurant!! They integrated beautifully into the French Corner shop! I wasn't aware that it is a non-profit. They have information on the tables and website about various human-rights organizations that they support, with local and global institutions. Along with food, most of the decor in the shop is for sale. I love that they have a "free library" spot on the wall. We stopped in for a quick lunch. Quiche Lorraine was warmed up and delicious. Lots of bacon and savory, crumbly crust. Look forward to trying other options. Caesar salad was a generous portion and as you would expect. The chicken didn't seem grilled in house, but tasted OK. Their sugar cookies are really good. They were the right amount of snap and the frosting was amazing! Appropriately presented as Stars with red and blue sprinkles for the 4th of July. I look forward to trying their sandwiches, other pastries and definitely the coffees!!

Next door to them is a fun little snack shop called Miyauchi's Snack Bar. This walk-up food stand was exactly what I was in the mood for. I wanted something affordable, quick and delicious. They had a line forming when I arrived because it was lunch time. Miyauchi's Snack Bar is mostly known for their homemade ice cream. But they also serve burgers, sandwiches and sides. I haven't had a patty melt in years and ordered one with onion rings. Most of the employees here are young folks and they were really nice. For seating, Miyauchi's has outdoor picnic tables that are available on a first-come first-served basis. I got lucky and was able to grab a table as someone was leaving. It was a warm day, so I had to get ice cream after finishing my meal. Miyauchi's Snack Bar has a variety of flavors to choose from. Being the coffee fanatic that I am, I ordered a cup of Kahlua-N-Cream. This place was great and capped off my fun-filled day at Grand Lake.
