I was quoted high and low for the job from many other shops but I chose this shop because it stood out in the best ways. I meet the owner as I was searching shops for quotes and stopped by early (9am roughly) met the owner, he had me feeling comfortable for he is a friendly guy. I told him how I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado with a messed up transmission he told me that he's very familiar with the brand and the showed that he's definitely knowledgeable and confident which other shops happen to lack. He on the spot quoted me for the best possible opinion with my truck's condition I liked that he mentioned a 3 year warranty on parts and labor for the job. He insured me that the truck would come in and would be done a week from the day I leave my truck. The price was absolutely reasonable for the hefty work load (5k). I had went to other shops they said they could try and address the issue directly and I could spend less but those people lack confidence in the work they happen to mention that they have only done one other Chevy prior and that it was difficult they lost me at that point. I have spoken to the dealership and they nearly quoted me for double the price with no close date or availability. This shops was the best bang for my buck the reviews brought me and and they absolutely delivered. I have been driving my truck daily since for a little over a week now and not a hiccup or tick or leak in sight they really did there thing. They was punctual on the timing and they know what there doing which is key in a highly sensitive job like this, price was good, owners a cool guy as well, the warranty is amazing. I can't figure out what more you would want from a shop. I'll be back for more work I trust them with my vehicle which personal friends know that's not common for me to trust a shop with my cars or truck

Not a month or two later unfortunately my transfer case went out so I reached back out. They got my truck into the shop within a couple days, diagnosed my issue and discussed my options. The only reason I haven't been there lately, is that my work location moved and it's just a bit too far away for me from my office, as I always dropped my car off on the way in, and picked it up on the way home, or at lunch if it was done by then. Unfortunately, now the trip to and from here to work would take nearly two hours by bus. They serviced my 2003 Hyundai Sonora for several years and were spot on with their repairs and advice, and never tried to fix anything that wasn't broken, and never once misled me. I usually dealt with Ritchie, who I like very much. He's honest, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They took care of me each and every time, and offered great advice on everything from the AC unit to tires. I've referred a number of people to them since then as well! If you are anywhere near them in Arlington, this is your place to go far great, honest and expert auto repair service.

They were guaranteed for 60,000 miles. I was told by one of the owners at Mal's to contact Michelin. Michelin initiated a warrantee case, and made good by replacing all four tires with top qulaity new Michelin tires for the cost of labor ($150) and a tire disposal fee ($32). Mal's were great at getting Michelin the information we needed to process our warrantee, and they did a great job putting on the new tires, balancing them etc. Hooray for Mal's and for Paulie and Richie! Thank you, as well, to the Michelin and their people!

With a lot of recommendations from my friends at MassBMW, I finally bit the bug with trying out…read morethis team and came out with zero regrets. I dropped my lowered Infiniti G37 (not a German car) for an alignment and tire mount/balance and James did a great job not only asking what I wanted, but also following up and explaining the work when I picked up the car as well. I noticed that the center caps were mounted "Porsche" style, meaning the center caps were lined up with the valve stems. This is something that many shops never do, and is a sign of work done with pride and care. The difference is in the details and in this case, the differences really shine through. In fact, I'll be bringing in my mom's W221 tomorrow just because I really trust their work.

Recently had a repair done with Auto Engineering on my 2012 A6, they overcharged me on labor time…read morefor spark plugs so I left a 3 star review on Google. The owner, Rick, then invited me to share quotes showing how much less other shops charged for labor. I sent over the first one from a private shop for, and it was ignored because it was in NH. I sent over a second from an Audi dealer in MA, and it was once again rejected because even though the labor was cheaper, the overall cost was higher (due to pricier manufacturer parts, which was irrelevant to my point). I sent over a third quote for another private shop in North Chelmsford, which not only met Rick's criteria but even showed the exact, significantly fewer labor hours required to install spark plugs, with the cheaper cost associated with it; and then he stopped responding. After he stopped responding, Rick left a dismissive response on my review that evaded my complaint. I sent three quotes all showing you don't need 3 hours to replace spark plugs, the first two got denied due to exaggerated criteria that the owner did not communicate to me, and the third (first one to meet all his criteria) was flat out ignored. This place charges you for more labor than they actually need, and won't take accountability for it. If you don't believe me with all these other 5-star reviews, that's alright. I just suggest that when you bring your car, do yourself a favor and compare your quote from AE to a few other shops in the area. You will see plain as day that they charge you for extra hours generously. Honestly, I'm glad the owner sent me on a goose hunt for other quotes- they all reinforced how much I just got fleeced. I hope future customers will make the same comparisons and push back on AE's labor the way I should have to begin with.
