But she was angry the whole time. She never said the wrong thing. But you could just tell that she absolutely hated us. I didn't like that they kept trying to sell us on this retinal scan. Multiple times. Our insurance didn't cover it. And I did my research about it online. We're considered low risk patients and didn't need to do it. I stayed strong and didn't do it even though she kept saying I did need it. So then when it was my husband's turn, she told him that I didn't need the scan, but he definitely did. So he caved and paid for it. We got a text message requesting we leave a review. . And I didn't do it because I was not happy with the service here. But nothing really bad happened. But now I wish I had filled it out because it was a bad experience. Once my husband and I really had a chance to compare experiences, I realize that we had a terrible time here.

My eye exam has been unchanged for the past 10 years but since I have eye insurance why not get an eye exam. Arrow Eye Care was the closest to my work. I was able to make an appointment the same week I called. The receptionist was friendly. The optometrist, Dr. Tran, was great. The eye exam was done quickly. My eye exam is still the same which is good. I went to EyeMart next door to inquire the cost of new pair of glasses with insurance which cost more than online suppliers like EyeBuyDirect. The irony of U.S. healthcare.

We have been in our house for 8 years and we were tired of driving across town for sub-par service and never actually getting to see the same eye doctor twice. We wanted somewhere closer so of course I took to Yelp to explore our options. Had our first appointments with Dr. Wells at Stonewood Vision Source last night, and he was great! Very professional but seemed genuinely interested in our questions and concerns. The office is extremely clean, and the equipment was all up to date. We went from a place that still uses a projector for the eye chart, so I was surprised to see a tv / monitor being used here. Dr. Wells never made us feel rushed and took the time to fully exam our eyes. He has no idea how much my husband and I appreciate that. The staff member at the front desk (I forgot her name) was very friendly and helpful. We were allowed to browse the frame selections in the waiting area with no rush. There is a smaller selection here than some of the larger eye doctor facilities, but the selection was pretty good even though almost all of the frames I looked at were over my insurance's frame allotment. I either have expensive taste or the prices were higher than our last eye doctor's selection. Our glasses will be ready in about 7-10 days so I will made an edit to include our experience for picking the glasses up after that.

Posted on behalf of Emily Taylor…read more To quickly bypass a lengthy review, here is a TLDR; 1.) DO go to: DR LOVING & HIS EYECARE= 10/10 2.) DO NOT go to: DR OSMENT NOR MyEyeDr= -10/10 Dr. loving and his practice is Very thorough and professional yet also super down-to-earth - he personally seems like a true salt of the earth type of Oklahoma man. Not only that, but it turns out Loving proved himself to be amongst the honest but slim minority amongst optometry's private practitioners- he's one of the only trustworthy "good guys" actually working for best interests of us, THE PATIENTS rather than for greed like other certain money hungry jerks muddying up the profession. Which segues me perfectly to the review "thesis" - DO NOT trust Dr.Osment OR his practice (MyEyeDr in BA). Let me explain: In 2021, I did visit the aforementioned for an eye exam to update my rx and also to buy new frames. I wasn't even taken back for that exam before the receptionist told me I could receive a discount on frames if I left a 5 star Google review on their location....But she wanted me to do this before they rendered me their service - how can I honestly do that before I even make a payment, let alone before I have any physical contact with the goods I am supposed to be reviewing? Well I now understand why - it's because they were never going to get a 5 star review from me if they didn't have to scam one out of me PRIOR to the bad experiences and bad products were paid for ? AND then, even though I obliged ("for the discount") - they all along knew full-well that they intended to uncharge me into oblivion 1st, then "apply" my piddly 15% off coupon to a 300% marked-up total. * The lenses were not the polycarbonate they charged me for, (not at 1.5 cm thick, they weren't) * The "Tommy Hilfiger" frames, I suspect but cannot prove were counterfeit, fell apart less than 6 months later. But hindsight is 20/20 (hehe) My suspicions were validated after my Loving EyeCare exam 10/31/24, when Dr. Loving told me in passing - "Well, no wonder you are not able to see details close-up anymore - it's because your current corrective lenses were incorrectly measured! They had ya dialed up too high, that's all"

I'm in limbo about this place. I remember about 2 years ago I got karatitis from an excessively…read moredry environment for my contacts. When I entered, they quickly took care of it, diagnosed what type it was, gave me the necessary medications, and got my eye patch. The gentlemen that helped me was extremely professional and I felt he knew exactly what he was doing. My parents have also utilized this place before and were happy at that time. Then there was my recent eye exam for contact lenses. I find out that they have recently separated the medical issues/nonroutine eye exams from the routine exams. Nurses of course seemed to have great bedside manner. Their receptionists though are another story. But two crucial things made me question things a little bit. I also am a loyal client at New England Eye Commonwealth in Boston, MA, but figured since this place handled my emergency with karatitis fairly well, their eye exams are the same, during my visit to Tulsa, OK, why not take of this here? Once my exam was done, it was time to try the new lenses. I look down...its the exact same lenses that I use to wear despite my numbers changing. I find out the doctor forgot to put the new numbers in my record, mind you my record was being typed up on the computer as we were doing the exam. Whatever, I can live with that mistakes happen. But I've NEVER in my 6+ years wearing lenses and getting my new lenses (usually with a number correction) had a dilation done, and then lenses put in right afterwards. Usually its 1. Find out new numbers. 2. Wear new lenses to confirm. 3. Take out lenses, then do dilation. And usually thats because your eyes are not in the best mode to be judging how the new lenses allow you to see. I later find out from my uncle the poor experience he had their just picking up a prescription for my mom's lenses. Apparently my mom called in for a prescription for contact lenses. She then asked if my uncle could pick it up, and they said yes. Uncle goes in, not only wasn't it ready but apparently he got a big attitude from the receptionist about their policy on sharing records, and almost didn't print it for him. AND when she did print it, it was a completely different person's. Well so much for enforcing your own privacy of records policy. I will say this, their wait times are short, so I would still recommend this place. Just be alert and don't give them your complete trust.

For that appointment I showed early at presumably building A and gave them all my information. I was then redirected to building B where I had to again give them all of my information and have my picture taken. I then waited for over one hour in the building B lobby and was never called back. At that point I gave up and walked back to building A to talk with the office manager. The office manager wait added another ten or so minutes. Finally I was able to politely talk to the office manager. She mentioned that the previous office manager left last year. More importantly she said that they have had to reduce appointments by one half due to starting a new computer system from scratch. Dr. Langley proved to be a skilled surgeon for my cataracts. His office computer system, currently, is not ready for prime time. My only regret was I made a wrong choice by letting him to inject the recovery medicine into the first eye which caused a black wavy curtain to appear in that eye for some time. I should have selected drops for after the surgeries and did so for my second eye.
