Am in Texas for who knows how long from out of state, (caregiving), and *needed* a teeth cleaning. Took to the internet, and was super fortunate to find these folks. The office staff was friendly and worked diligently to help get me in among all their COVID backlog appointments, first for a preliminary visit with x-rays, and luckily, a teeth cleaning the next day. (My teeth let me know I needed to visit. They had on fuzzy sweaters.). Diana and Brenda at the front desk were wonderful about working with my insurance. Many thanks to Victoria for giving me the best gentlest x-rays I've ever had and being a great person besides. Dr. Cazes made me feel right at home, wonderfully competent, educational, and friendly at the same time. And Trish gave me the absolute best teeth cleaning I have ever had, careful about sensitive roots yet achieving the goal. She made my teeth feel incredible. She also suggested to me a substance that would help alleviate my roots' sensitivity (without anesthesia or downtime, completely outpatient), and even though it was a tough application on just the few teeth roots, I am in HEAVEN! I no longer fear cold on my teeth. It was worth the (I think), reasonable cost for no teeth pain, and took about 10 minutes. Absolutely amazing. She also was a delight to work with, educating me as we went along, and caring about my process. If I ever have to move back to where I came from, I think I'll have to return to Texas just for these folks. Absolute gold. Best find ever! They were kind professional, and didn't tell me anything I didn't want to hear, but what I needed to hear. I will be going back and they were able to help me with my overwhelming anxiety. The admin staff was very nice, professional and didn't make me seem like they were there for my money. They were there to genuinely help me, which I like because again, I am really uncomfortable with dentistry. I have had a lot of work done in my mouth previously and they were very gentle inside my mouth. They gave it to me straight, but they were nice. They have great informative videos that they play outside the office and it helped me get a sense of the doctor that I was going to be dealing with beforehand which helped as well. I have a pretty strict policy about medication. They gave me options about what I should and would not HAVE to take and they worked me to find what was right for my situation. All around, I will go again!

I don't want to be surprised with a collection on my credit report. I finally got a call after I went by and was told I would need to go to two other dentists for my work, (total of 3 dentists). I agreed and have not heard a word from any of them since then..about 2 months ago. No bill, no phone calls. The dentist was a very nice man. I am afraid his (1) office help is dropping the ball. I was able to get an emergency appointment and the fix, now almost 3 years old, is holding great. But I have had lots and lots of experience with unethical and downright bad dentists over my 74 years, and am very skeptical in a dentist's chair. Dr. Mitchell told me she could see decay at the gumline in the adjacent tooth and I was skeptical, since I didn't know her. I didn't go back; I had a dentist in Mexico that I really liked, but that location wasn't practical anymore. I shopped around and tried a couple others; one wouldn't bill insurance, another was hard to get appointments with even for cleanings. I was told again by a different dentist that there was a cavity (the same one identified 2 yrs earlier by Dr. Mitchell). I finally made the trip back to Mexico, since I knew and trusted Dr. Garcia. Dr. Garcia identified the same cavity, now very large. She realized when she was attempting to clean out the decay that it was so deep that the fill would be incomplete, she asked if I wanted to go ahead for what would ultimately be a temporary fix, or extract. Had I listened to Dr. Mitchell initially and acted within the year, I would not have lost that tooth to massive decay. I love Dr. Garcia, but I made the decision to establish a local dental relationship and chose Dr. Mitchell and I now have great confidence in her and her staff. And West Kerr Dental does bill insurance. I have had a cleaning there (excellent and gentle) and a small filling done. I also initiated a discussion on Invisalign with the doctor because my bite is misaligned (from earlier bad dental work in California) and Dr. Mitchell is confident she can fix it without two years of braces. If you are looking for a dentist with integrity and skill, Dr. Mitchell is a great choice. The bonus is how nice and personable she and the entire staff are and how accommodating to get your insurance billed, your appointments made, time with the right person to discuss your needs and questions. It is a very pleasant and caring atmosphere; I highly recommend them.
