Deceptive practices. Was told on the phone that they did root canal retreatments, but after driving 150 miles for an appointment and an x-ray I was then told they don't do root canal retreatments, but they could refer me to a dentist that does retreatments. I drove 300 miles (round trip) for nothing, but I paid them, and my insurance company also paid them, so I guess they made their money for that day. read more

Do not go to this dentist. my daughter went there 2 days ago had a filling done has been in pain ever since. went back today they refuse to pull it without an additional $250 on top of the 190 she had already paid . they are very incompetent she refused went to another dentist didn't need the tooth extracted at all just needed the filling they put in there to be adjusted to her top tooth please do not take your loved ones to this incompetent business...they don't care about patients or their pain all they care about is money read more

The worst experience I've ever had! Went in with one semi-problem tooth, came out with severe nonstop pain for two months for my entire mouth!!! First, took me months to get in bc of covid - they rescheduled me literally 8 times and then when I finally got in there at the end of May, I saw one dentist who was very nice and came up with a treatment plan. Got rescheduled again and finally got back in there at the end of July and saw a totally different dentist - Dr. Pho (or some name similar) They didn't talk about what was happening, just went in there and did a few fillings on my right side and said they were done. I had my main problem tooth over on the left side (opposite side!) that was in urgent need as a past filling fell out and the tooth was cracked and causing pain. I assumed they would take care of that one first, but like I said, they didn't discuss ANYTHING with me beforehand and I basically had to beg for her to fix that tooth. So she filed it down for a crown , slapped a temp on and sent me on home all numbed up. Well, after the shots wore off, I was in serious pain. The crown was way too big and ALL my other teeth hurt now that didn't hurt before - the resin she put in my other teeth for fillings was extremely built up, extremely sloppy job. I went back in a week later and her assistant chipped away I kid you not, over 1/3 of the temp, which was a bit better, but didn't even see the dentist. There was also apparently a huge 1/4 inch chunk of glue that was embedded in my gum that was driving me nuts that she removed. Sent me back home and I was still in extreme pain in ALL my teeth, my jaw everything hurt all the time in a relentless, consuming pain still! I spent an entire month popping ibuprofen and Tylenol and debating to take my uninsured self over to the ER it was that bad, but finally got in again to see *gasp* yet another dentist. Third dentist in as many months and I can only imagine why they let go of Dr. Pho, yeah. Well new guy was nice and there were some super high spots on the crown AND the other teeth she gunked up with sloppy fillings that he filed down and I asked him to hit up another high spot on my other side, but he said it looked fine. (causing serious issues now) I explained how much pain I am in all the time and he just said to use Sensodyne and quit taking ibuprofen. OK then, sensodyne isn't going to fix my bite being thrown way off, and I've TRIED to back off the pain meds, but it gets so bad that my entire jaw, every tooth in my mouth is burning, throbbing and the pain crawls up my face to where my entire head feels like I've been beat with a hammer that was set on fire. Yes, that bad! I can take pain, but this is a whole 'nother level! I'm waiting on my permanent crown to come in as they screwed up and got a white gold one in that costs over $1000 that I rejected as I have to pay out of pocket - so now I'm waiting on a porcelain crown to come in one day, and perhaps they can file down the rest of the super sloppy resin job that Dr. Pho did! I went in there with only ONE tooth that was slightly sensitive at times and came out to going on two months of severe constant pain every single day - they seriously messed me up! Perhaps one of these times they'll fix everything and I can go back to normal... And why didn't I go to another dentist you ask? I have no insurance, but had pregnancy Medicaid (just had a baby in June so have been recovering from C-section AND other complications) and this was the only place that would accept me within 100 mile radius. Now my insurance is expired and I have to pay out of pocket to fix THEIR mistakes, but can't afford to start over with a new dentist, so basically I'm stuck in a torturous hell until they fix their mistakes. read more

The staff was friendly, it did appear they were having a hard time getting x-rays but aside from that no problems. Dr. Mustafa was confident, engaging and friendly. His attitude helped me relax before my extraction. He did a good job extracting my wisdom tooth. The staff walked me through the process and kept me informed.He did talk to me about some issues that other dentist avoided fixing. I'll be going back. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS BUTCHER. First off, i waited in the chair for 2 hrs before he came in. the xray girls did not know how to do xrays it took 2 of them to do it??? when the DENTIST did come in he started yelling at the girls about this and that, wasd very rude to them. He did my cleaning which TOOK HIM A WHOLE 5 minutes to do. I hadn't had a cleaning in a year and a half and i have heavy tarter build up it should have taken at least 30m. so now i have to wait another 6months to have my teeth cleaned. he then pulled a tooth and didn't even try to be gentle about the shot. he never even said anything else like if I had any cavities or if I wanted to have a bridge put in. VERY VERY RUDE DENTIST. he just wants your money and then to get out!!!!! I do have to say the women and man at the front desk are extremely nice. read more

I went into this office on Friday afternoon and paid $190 to have a tooth filled. I was told then that they wanted to do a root canal but that they would do the filling in hopes that it would repair the tooth. I had zero pain at the time, I had simply lost an old filling. All weekend long I was unable to eat or even bite down without excruciating pain. I went in today and they did not even look at my mouth at all before saying that they needed to do an extraction. The dentist said that it would be an additional $30 on top of the $190 that I had paid Friday for the extraction. Then the office manager came in and said that because I did not have insurance and was a cashpay patient that they would not allow me to make any sort of payments and that I must pay $250 today and have the tooth pulled. I asked them so I'm just supposed to live in pain and not eat and she told me there was nothing they could do about it because it was "office policy". I asked her why she was not willing to honor what the dentist had said and she said because the dentist did not make the prices that she did. I was very angry and aggravated and left the office and tears. I immediately went to another dentist who looked at my tooth and said that it did not need to be pulled at all... in fact it just needed to be adjusted some because the filling that star Smiles had put in was too high and had aggravated the nerves under the tooth. She filed the filling down and put a desensitizer on my tooth saying that I was severely bruised and that it was very shotty work because the filling was very rough and unpolished at best. In fact the new dentist said that the filling that was in my tooth was not even close enough to my nerves for that to be aggravating me nor had all of the old filling been removed prior to the new one being plopped in. The moral of the story is if you're willing to just throw away your dollars go here so that you can leave in pain, but if you'd like to see a good dentist who cares about your well-being then go see Dr. Mitchell in Ingram. She cares about your humanity... Not just what's in your wallet. read more

If I could give, Dr. Puri, -10 review I would do it. He is horrible and has no ideal on how to do a simple extraction. Took BF there, he has been in pain for over 5 days now, just to find out doctor left part of the tooth in the gum. It was a simple extraction and this is what has happened, think someone needs some retraining on doing extractions. The dental students at the Dental College in San Antonio do a better job than this. And to add to this while in the office he did not tell BF he was getting ready to do the injections just came at him with the needed and started poking. He jabbed BF so hard he is still bruised from the injections. At the end of the visit, he gives you 3 simple instructions, ask if you have any questions (but acts like he can't be bothered) and walks away. He is rude and arrogant, his main focus is running a business. At this point he is running his practice and the practice of the other dentist into the ground. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. PURI, HE IS HORRIBLE AT HIS JOB AND HAS NO BEDSIDE MANNER. RUDEST DENTIST I HAVE EVER BEEN SEEN. read more
